Love Walt Williams I always boost his stats on NBA 2k because I remember how smooth and a beast he was at Maryland and his early nba years before the injuries a true 5 tool player 1st true point forward. Man he could drive, pull up, pass , rebound, hit the 3, play d he was the whole enchilada! Great video
FACTS! I think it hasn't blown up because the new era and,im sorry to say, LeBron and Steph fans don't know basketball history or many other players. They aren't deep with basketball knowledge. Not real hoop heads. This page is for real hoop heads.
Hey, thank for featuring The Wizard! I've requested you do his profile a couple of times. He's a perfect player for this series, and I think he would have thrived in today's NBA. 👍
Walt Disney had great 1on1 handles and counter moves in Maryland and with the Kings . His passing and his 3pt shooting was his meal ticket before injuries
"The Wizard" 🧙🏿♂️ 😂 Walt Williams was a CERTIFIED BUCKET, Walt wasn't super athletic or fast or quick but he had a smoothness to his game and a pretty good jump-shot, he'd quietly get 18-20 points every night, a solid starter in the NBA
would be even better in today's game. greatly admire how he improved his dedication to training and as result became more durable. good stuff - and good lesson. hed b a stretch 4 point fwd type combo now. and today's def schemes would also help him. lateral quickness not as big a factor in the matchup zone (switch everything) schemes used today.
I liked Walt Williams. He was certainly a fan favorite in Sacramento and played at a good level considering his team. I never played against Walt but I watched him practice at the Salvation Army and saw him play a handful of times at Arco Arena. I always thought he was more suited to play the Small Forward position. If he would have played the small forward position he would have been a household name.
7:25 I'm not 100% sure if the streak was 7 or 8 games. The newspaper articles I read from that season said 7, but the Maryland athletics youtube video says 8. But either way, an impressive streak
Fam was nice on the court. I recall The Wizard and a player whose last name was Perry on The Bucks were 2 of the few players who played in NBA during the mid 1990s that wore those high socks.
Yeah I'm going to try to get to some more recent guys, I do have a Finley video, it's one of the first uploads on the channel so you'll have to go back pretty far to find it
@ForgottenPlayerProfiles ok I'll keep suggesting people who I grew up watching on every upload and thanks keep up the good work I'm looking forward to future videos
No disrespect to the Wizard but the man who saved Maryland basketball wasnt him it was Norfolk own Joe Smith who took them back to the tournament in his only 2 years at the school
I met Bob Lanier at the stay in school jam when he came to my school. I knew who he was because my pops taught me about the history and greats of all sports and life. St. Bonaventure correct? Detroit Pistons? Now did he play with Unseld on the Bullets title team?
I'll definitely get to Lanier, I'm just working my way through some of the more suggested players I've seen in the comments, but I know Lanier deserves a video. Next video is going to be one of his teammates though
No way bro..nobody ever talks about walt and he is one of my favorite players of all time. Thank you for this! 🔥🔥
He was a beast he could do it all!
He made it look so easy
@@ForgottenPlayerProfiles i learned about him because of bobby hurley, who is my favorite player of all time
My favorite player after Michael. Just wished he didn’t under perform😕

@@seanwebb4291you 100% right. Dudes 35 and under think hoops started with Kobe's ending and LeBalco and Stephanie years. Makes me sick
@@stevengilmartin4805 Not that serious bro, relax.
Wow the Wizard 🪄 ❤ i remember watching him play when i was a teenager in Toronto 🇨🇦. One of my favorite NBA players of all time .
He could do it all when he was healthy!
RIP Jerrod Mustaf and Brian Williams aka Bison Dele
Mustaf was a murdering coward.
RIP Wayman Tisdale
Now this dude is truly slept on. No one ever mentions his name, but he was one of those prototypes for versatility swing forwards
Definitely!
That Rockets team with the Francis, Mobley, Williams and Moochie Norris was crazy.
Terrance Morris too.
Loved them in the H! Only i was against Walt was when he went to a Dallas.

Finally, I get to see the story of Walt the Wizard Williams. I've been patiently waiting for this one. I wore my socks high because of him.
That's awesome!
Loved Walt and his high socks with Hurraches
Everybody IS NOT BUILT 4 THE NBA, GREAT VIDEO
The Wizard was incredible
Walt The Wizard had me wearing long socks for NO reason.
Can you do a video on Tony Massenberg…….the only player in NBA history to play for 12 teams and win a NBA title in 05 with the Spurs…….
Love the video! It’s a great content to watch to take a break from school 🫠
Walt Disney had great 1on1 handles and counter moves in Maryland and with the Kings . His passing and his 3pt shooting was his meal ticket before injuries
I keep seeing comments about his injuries. Explain
@@seanwebb4291 between poor conditioning and alot of little injuries like sprain ankles ,back sprains and his weight gaining

Great video. I'm looking forward to a video about Sedalle Threatt.
The Wizard!! Yessir
Zach Randolph would make a great video.
You're not wrong. I'm planning to get to some of the more recent players in the coming months
Under rated by many. On other hand, alot of folks remember how good he was.
Thank you for this video. Walt deserves his 💐 👍 ✌️
Him in todays era would benefit him.
Thank you 😊

Michael Beasley man. Come on. This is ridiculous.
I remember Walt Williams. Very solid player in his day
One of the GREATEST basketball players out of PG COUNTY MD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was an KG type before KG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember when Walt hit Shawn Bradley 🤜🏿
My cyo basketball team pretty much rocked the knee-high socks because of Walt
Cyo had some good bump back in tha day!
@coldbilly7916 Yes, it did, and those gyms would be cold as mutha Saturday morning. Nothing like it
@@DC4Life77 Hell yeah , hands numb asf in lay up line🤣🤣🤣🤣
@coldbilly7916 I swear I probably saw my breath a couple of times at St. Anthony's gym on 12th Street in DC 😆 🤣 😂
That's crazy maurice taylor moved him to the bench in houston
Can Darius miles get a video
I feel like I remember Walt Williams but I can’t recall
That dude could YAM the fuckin ball.
Did we ever do a Ricky Davis FPP?
I am a Cavs fan and the Ricky Davis/darius miles days were so funny
It would be cool to do d.miles and q. Richardson together
Yeah I'm slowly working my way through those early 2000s clippers. Still gotta get to D Miles, Q Rich and Keyon Dooling
@@Radel623Ricky Davis was wild especially when he was in Minnesota

Elliot Perry! Rocked the goggles during his college years at Memphis too
Good stuff man! Familiar with Jr
Reid?
Khalid el Amin next!
I think he would excel in today's game that relies on 3 point shooting, and 5 players being able to handle and pass.
Can you do Michael Finley Brian Grant Darius Miles Carlos Boozer Rudy Gay? If you haven't covered any of them....awesome videos

I thought this was about Juan Dixon…. lol. Walt Williams was a beast in nba 2k 😂
Growing up he was my favorite player on the raptors
Lights out shooter during his Raptors years!
@13:08 yes! 🔥
🫡Sup, Coach Gary Williams, Joe Smith and Dwayne Simpkins 👍
The Wiz 🏀
I always thought he got a ring with the Shaq lead heat or with the Garnett lead Celtics
No disrespect to the Wizard but the man who saved Maryland basketball wasnt him it was Norfolk own Joe Smith who took them back to the tournament in his only 2 years at the school
Sorry, but no Walt Williams means no Joe Smith. Joe loved Walt Williams.😊
Let’s see Loy Vaught one of these days.
Could shoot the 3 and will punch you. Lol! Shawn Bradley
Always wondered, what if you would have played for the wizards
I meant Gus Williams.....the Wizard from the Sonics. I like Walt too tho✌️😂
