Especially early on in his career, Wilt put up crazy numbers but could never bring his team all the way, which is the complete opposite from the mentality Red was fostering in Boston. The picks involved ended up giving the C's Greg Kite and the Suns Rod Foster. Robey and Kite were a wash as players, but obviously Kite was much younger, so the C's made out there too. So they essentially got DJ, a vital part of the next 2 championships, for a role player who unfortunately also had a short career due to injury.
