Play Chained Echoes. It’s incredibly polished with incredible dialog writing and music. It’s got the old pixel inspiration but very modern quality of life, actually sets a standard with QOL
I want to put out a disclaimer/warning about playing Trails Through Daybreak. There is a character there that is first introduced in Trails in the Sky. This person's character arc is a HUGE deal in that trilogy of games. Any Trails fan knows who I am talking about.
Love all these remastered games! Very excited for Phantom Brave! Highly enjoyed it when I played it in the past. Would love to experience it again. Suikoden 1 & 2 were awesome! Also looking forward to replaying these. I'm hopeful for Fantasy Life. That sounds like so much fun! I never played it before. Lunar Remastered is the one I'm looking forward to the most! The first game is my favorite game of all time! I like both classic and modern RPGs, as long as it's all turn-based combat. I prefer modern games that have a classic look but modern sensibilities. I don't have as much time so I don't want a lot of grinding. I want a great story with fun characters and solid turn-based combat. Looking forward to more content for Sea of Stars and Chained Echoes. Really enjoyed both of those!
It's nice that a chibi styled JRPG like 'Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero' has voice acting, it will allow players to better enjoy the story and focus more on the tactical math, lol. Thanks for gifting us with this video and Happy Holidays!
Another great video! I haven’t kept up-to-date with the recent JRPGs. I got into them during the GameCube/PS2 era and am very particular about battle systems. Of the ones you mentioned, I am interested in trying an Atelier game for the first time. I want to like Rune Factory but had a poor experience with one on the DS. The two JRPGs in the most recent partner showcase (Phantom Brave and the Academy defense one) look interesting. The Zero Escape series is a visual novel style survival puzzle game that is highly regarded so I feel the story should be strong. I’m not familiar with the Danganronpa games but knowing what I know of the anime, it’ll probably be pretty chaotic/suspenseful. Both games seem tactical which I’m not too familiar with either so we’ll be in the same boat. 😅
If we end up playing them at the same time, let's chat about our experiences. Always love to try something for the first time and have someone to share my thoughts with!
If you're interested in Suikoden, I can't recall, did you ever play Eiyuden Chronicle? It was basically the Kickstarted "We're not allowed to make a Suikoden, but they can't stop us from making THIS!" title like SpaceVenture or BloodStained. Just...definitely pass on the Switch version if you wanna try that one out
Xenoblade and rune factory are my 100%, will definitely buy and play them on their release date. Xenoblade X does look amazing and even if the combat is a bit complex, I always have a great time with those games
I grew up on the SNES, so I'm team old school. Lots of nostalgia, plus I just suck at action RPG's. Older games are turn-based more often than not, and that's the style I prefer. The game I'm looking forward to the most is probably Fantasy Life. The first one I have an embarrassing amount of time into because of 100% it.
I would try all of these if I could. Definitely gonna play the new Fantasy Life and Rune Factory games but I'm going to have to wait and see which ones I play from the rest
Im looking forward to atelier yumia and trails in the sky remake since ive seen playthrough of trails 1 through 3, currently on 4 and currently daybreak so... i want to experience this remake for myself. Also planning on playing trails through daybreak as well. So yeah. Also planning on getting to ys series as well. ❤😊
im too excited for way too many games on this list🤣🤣but daybreak 2 , tales of graces f remastered and trails 1st remake are day one buys for me. in fact im going to start a new game plus run on daybreak 1 to prepare for the 2nd game.
I am looking forward to Ys,Atelier Yumia,Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma and hopefully, finally, maybe, please Level 5? Deca Police in 2025 calling it right now 😁! I am getting the Suikoden Remasters and Lunar Remasters on the PS5 because that is where I played them originally,on the original PlayStation so a little bit of nostalgia there. Plus it gives me a excuse to use my Portal which I love using for bed gaming since my 8 year old Switch is kinda not so functional for bed gaming anymore 😢(battery is not holding charge so I have to keep it docked)
@@UpsetN3RD Me too. Like I love solving mysteries and stuff like that. Even have the Sherlock holmes collection on my ps5. Played crimes and punishment already and I loved the cases and Sherlock as a character.

Tales of Graces F has the BEST battle system of all the Tales games.
Also... MALIKI !!!
*gif of Kermit running around*
you're welcome sir Wojin ahahha
YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED LACRIMOSA OF DANA??? make sure you finish it and always finish the side quests for the true ending boss.
Never playing that again!
She didn't really like it much. Thank you for the tips though. It's a game that I have been playing for the past two summers
I also couldn't get into it, so I understand the feeling.
Play Chained Echoes. It’s incredibly polished with incredible dialog writing and music. It’s got the old pixel inspiration but very modern quality of life, actually sets a standard with QOL
I gotta go with remasters , because as a kid I couldn't afford some the rpgs when they first came out, but I am always up for something new.
Ngl, Tales of Graces is my only must buy. Suikoden and Lunar are possible. Anything else is wait and see or skip.
Phantom brave and Rune factory got my attention.
Phantom Brave has a really interesting twist with its combat system.
I want to put out a disclaimer/warning about playing Trails Through Daybreak. There is a character there that is first introduced in Trails in the Sky. This person's character arc is a HUGE deal in that trilogy of games. Any Trails fan knows who I am talking about.

It's good the introduce newcomers to so many series!
@@MissBubbles Agreed!
Trails in the sky remake is 1 number on my radar for fall 2025
So excited for the Sea of Stars DLC! That game is 10/10!
I’ve played all 4 Xenoblade Cheonicles games and number 2 definitely has the most complicated battle system. So I think you’ll be fine with X.
Switch 2 + Steam deck oled will be my jrpg machine
It's nice that a chibi styled JRPG like 'Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero' has voice acting, it will allow players to better enjoy the story and focus more on the tactical math, lol. Thanks for gifting us with this video and Happy Holidays!
It looks so cute too! Happy Holidays ✨
I'm way too excited for Xenoblade X! 🔥

Atelier Yumia looks FIRE! 🔥
I cannot wait 😍

Just...definitely pass on the Switch version if you wanna try that one out
I have Hundred Heroes but it lacks so many QoL features from modern JRPGs that I know I will hate it if I play it
Merry Christmas, Bubbles! ❤
oh man the JRPG ports that should come to the Switch 2 will more than keep me busy before we even start talkin about exclusives.
Xenoblade and rune factory are my 100%, will definitely buy and play them on their release date. Xenoblade X does look amazing and even if the combat is a bit complex, I always have a great time with those games

I cannot wait for deca police as well! It's absolutely amazing as a ps5 girlie!

Yea I would have to say about Pokémon company taking their time with the new Pokémon game....they obviously won't they're the Pokémon company.
Maybe with the new hardware in mind and latest feedback they're a bit more mindful
Team classic here 100%
Character in the thumbnail?
Atelier Yumia? I have three characters depending on which thumbnail TH-cam is showing you, cause I have 3 being tested out
Rune factory ❤❤🎉🎉
😍😍😍
Interesting
