    1. Don't boil the ocean.
    2. Be clear and concise. Directed dialog is okay sometimes.
    3. Design for how people actually talk, not how you want them to talk.
    4. Ask follow-up questions, but inly when needed.
    5. For multimodal system, start with sample dialogs to train the user.
    6. Acknowledge, even if you can't solve a problem.
    7. End with computer prompt with clear calls to action.
