    I didn't even know my S20 ultra had a screen protector on from factory. Imagine the horror seeing scratches on my brand new s20 in less than a week 😳

    • @LeoNyeDis
      @LeoNyeDis 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I can imagine the horror perfectly. As I was thinking the same about my s20 ultra.. only way I can tell is from the very end edges and my camera hole. Was seriously already considering a new screen as I am obsessive when it comes to scratches.

      My ultra got scratches immediately since tmobile took of the original one and put one of theirs. I didn't know it came with one. The shitty glass one broke and protected my screen but now I had glass particles everywhere so I took it off. Went to tmobile before work only to see that they were closed and I had to wait till Monday. Next thing you know I have scratches on my screen after trying to take care of it. . bull shit.

    • @jayc6420
      @jayc6420 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@christophoris7259 you need to get on fb or Twitter or Instagram and go to t-mobile page tag them and leave a comment or w/e telling them you're story and add that you've been a loyal customer for years but now you've decided to change carriers and you will seriously have a 95% Chance of someone reaching out to you to make it right. And if not you just get on the phone and call corporate tell them the same thing and make them transfer you to however many people needed until you get someone who does you right

    I just wanted to ask! I also put a UV class tempered on my phone( samsung note 10+) and I forgot to remove the plastic attached to the glass .. how to remove it then? I hope you notice me and help me .. thankyou in advance ☺

  • @sarahrobinson9166

    This method for removal worked very well thank you!
    The Whitestone Dome Glass was not able to protect my phone samsung galaxy s20 plus it still cracked from a 6 inch drop onto my wooden desk right at the corner of the display. And it was such a pain to apply.
    Case I used was UAG not sure of type but it retailed for ~$75. If anyone recommends good samsung cases they can swear by let me know please.
    I had my iphone 6s plus for 5 years no cracks no damage ever and it had some pretty good falls still no damage. I can't find someone that does samsung phone test drops from 50ft on youtube just for iphone and the defender case I had for my iphone was great. I love my samsung but haven't even had it a year and it couldn't withstand such a small drop... also glass on back cracked but that's UAG's fail. Man just venting hope it helps someone ;) I really tried to research to protect my phone like I did my iphone but it just seems like there's not as much extreme tests people do.

    Realy great video! Quick and easy! I got my S20 + and the screen protector was scratched and I was scared that the touchscreen may also be scratched. And thanks of your video, I could remove the screen protector and the touchscreen is clear without any scratches. Your video save me a lot of time and trouble. Thanks a lot! :)

    Was the protector on for awhile when you removed it? I'd imagine it's easier to remove the fresher the install is?... I screwed mine up and need to use the second protector because of air bubbles and empty areas.

    • @Josh_Quinonez

      Yes you can take it off and reapply it which is why it comes with extra adhesive. Just make sure not to use the UV light until you're sure it's on correct. I have a video on how to remove it as well once you're finished with it. Here it is. th-cam.com/video/Rd8T82t4CdI/w-d-xo.html

    This helped a lot. I have the Note 9 and mine had cracks along the edges so I needed to replace it. I started peeling it off but it left some on my screen doing that. I couldn't get under the remaining on my phone to be able to lift it up. I didn't have a blow dryer handy so I used the heat from my laptop fan lol. It worked.

    That seems pretty safe the way you did it you were very gentle with the heat . I think this is key so people know not to go crazy with a high intensity heat gun. And phones are designed to withstand a fair amount of environmental temperature change. My phone has gotten very hot being in my car in the sun and is fine so as long as you use common sense like Josh here it should remove the protector safely.

    • @Josh_Quinonez
      @Josh_Quinonez  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. I'm glad you agree. It makes it really easy to remove.

    If I have a heat gun, how much temperature should I use?

  • @RYO12mwos
    @RYO12mwos 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I heard that heat is bad for battery. If you put too much heat, it may cause damage to your phones battery. I'd rather put duct tape on the surface of the grass to prevent any pease of glass falling off and just peal it off.

    • @DomChrisOwens
      @DomChrisOwens 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Heat can have that effect, if worried about that a good way to reduce the chance of damage is to charge or deplete your device to 50%, then turn it off and do the removal.
      At 50% the + and - ions in the battery are evenly balanced and a little heat shouldn't damage it as much as one would expect, plus this type of heat cools down relatively fast.
      What I would be more concerned about is overheating the device and cooking your devices physical display........now that would be costly

    • @mousevision661
      @mousevision661 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Dude, do not use a heat gun. You would be better off buying a cheap hair dryer since the phone is so expensive. The heat gun will more than likely start heating up the actual screen, I have actually melted a tablet with a heat gun by accident. I wouldn't even want to use a hair dryer on my phone but it seems safe enough.

    • @grandwazoo1696
      @grandwazoo1696 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A heat gun is made to melt things, a hair dryer isn't. No, to the heat gun 😉
