These are a must these days. It gives you piece of mind, especially when you are parked up and not in the car. Supermarkets are the worst, I park about five miles away, it drives my wife nuts 😂.

I wanted to see the dash cam in parking night mode. When you did the night mode you had lights driving all around you. So of course the cam is going to be clear.
Nice cam setup. Pretty expensive here in Australia - around AU$700-800 (Approx £397-453) then installation on top of that. Well I guess if one can afford a MB then this cam is affordable.

Does the motion detection trigger by the rear camera or only the front? On your demonstration the trigger had already begun by you walking in front first. Thanks.
Does your phone connect automatically to the camera's wifi or do you have to do it manually? I'm asking, because on Blackvue whenever you're approaching the car, the phone switches to the camera's wifi, which helps eliminate false impact notifications.
I don't think it does with the Thinkware. It's a bit clunky you have to press the wifi button on the camera then connect up manually on your phone. The camera is always connected to your phone though via the SIM card so you can do live view at any time no matter where you are. I don't think it has that feature though from the Blackvue, sounds like a nice feature to have.

I was asking about that, because with Blackvue I was looking for a nifty way to eliminate those pesky false positive alerts when getting into the car and slamming the door. Of course in such a situation the car is still in the parking mode, so it registers an event, when you slam the door. My solution with Blackvue was quite intricate, but worked great. I installed a Macrodroid app on my phone and made a macro with the following condition: if the phone switches to Blackvue's wifi (i.e. I'm close to the car), then cut off all Blackvue app notifications. In this way, I only received notifications when I was away from the car. I'm wondering how to solve it with Thinkware, since its wifi isn't turned on all the time.
One more question. Does this camera have the option to monitor the actual car battery voltage via the Thinkware Connected App? I know it's possible to see what the value is for U3000 model, but I was wondering, if T700 also has this functionality. I mean being able to view the actual voltage - I'm not talking about the cut-off function when voltage is low.
Hey, no problem! Yep voltage is displayed on the main screen in the top right corner of the car graphic on the connected app. It’s also displayed in the bottom corner of any footage next to the time stamps.
Did you install any additional camera? I mean: how to solve the blind areas on side of the car?? For the rest, Thinkware T700 is the better compromise into LTE dashcam segment
You can get additional camera setups but at the moment they are quite large and only really suitable for HGV's. The way Tesla have the cameras mounted into the mirrors is brilliant. I hope this will be available wider as an aftermarket in the future as they would be really good to have. Currently running off these batteries we only really have the option of a front and rear which won't cover much of the sides but I'm hopeful in the future this will change.
Sorry for the questions but, I assume you are still using it?, It's great to get an answer from a real user. Can I download saved video's from the internet if my car is miles away? Does it notify you if you were parked and there was an event?

How is the notification time with text alert if someone hits you? Have you experienced this yet but hopefully not.
I have problems with my t700 where I can't change the sensitivity on the settings, had the t700 for two years now and still no firmware updates, Also it's a shame I can't change the sim card from Vodafone to another provider Vodafone are useless, Also wish it had a separate box for the 4g sim card. Like the BlackVue dashcams, But I do like the ADAS features that BlackVue dashcams don't have, 👍👍👍
Hey, I don’t think it’s possible to use the data on the sim as a hotspot with this dash camera I’m afraid. It seems to be locked to the camera only. You could set you phone up as a hotspot though.
Ok, I've got one! when I view the live footage via wifi on my phone the rear image is reversed, trees on the right are to the left of the image, is this correct or do you know if I need to flip it in some way?
Ah! I havent actually noticed that on mine. Wouldn't that make the number plates backwards too? Don’t worry though if you ever need to use the footage it's very easy to flip it on the computer. Not surewhy yours is displaying this way though!
Hey no problem. I’m not as familiar with TFL so I’m not sure sorry. If your getting a dash cam for a taxi I think you would be better to get a dual front lens camera so it records inside the car as well as in front on the road.
Hey Raju, I'm afraid I don't think you can with this although I'm not 100% sure. Most Mercedes-Benz will allow you to do this using the car though however If you are running a Merc.
I like it but this would be awesome if it also had a wide view camera recording inside and doing so sides .....would you see it if someone with a shopping cart hit you ?
Hey Philippe, I’d love this too. Hopefully in the future there will be dash cam setups with side cameras integrated into the mirrors like the Tesla setup. For now though I think this is the best you can get without spending a ton of money.
Hey, I'd recommend asking www.cambridgecar.audio quotes are quite bespoke on cars so they should be able to give you a full cost fitted. They are the company that installed mine.
Hi mate how long did it take you to get the green light stay solid? I've turned it off 20 times and it's still flashing green then goes back to red and tell's me wifi hasn't been detected and also how do you activate the sim card so that i can set up the monthly payments to Vodafone?
Hey Paulst220 It should not take long at all, under 20 seconds. It was a little while ago when I set mine up but there should be a little red card/leaflet with instructions in the box along with the sim. Did you manage to get it all working?

The instructions in the box should be more clearer but it’s done now, the problem I now have is when I press the WiFi button to connect it to my phone it’s not connecting.
I checked with them to see If It would reduce my premium since It protects against hit and runs and others faults but my insurer did not reduce it but some may.
I’ve just bought this and a great review but really disappointed with the image quality to say it’s full HD. I hope they bring out a higher resolution version in the same form factor so it can swap out
Ok, I bought it... and I'm disappointed. I was truly convinced it was a cloud cam. It turns out it's not, nothing is uploaded to the cloud. If an event occurs the camera doesn't upload videos to the cloud, but you need to download them from the cam directly. So no secured material at all. I feel tricked. Why make "the first lte connected" cam and advertise it as such, if it lacks the basic functionality you would like from an lte connected cam?

It is possible, you would need multibox from Thinkware. It allows you to add up to 5 cameras (Front, back, sides and inside camera) 👍🏻
