Can we give some love to Falcom's overlooked masterpiece "Tokyo Xanadu"
Definitely not a masterpiece. Coming from Ys, it felt quite clunky (especially the platforming), the social stuff is pretty pointless (ranking social stats up means absolutely nothing, lol), and tbh I found the first half the game pretty boring. Did enjoy the second half of the game and the overall characters though. But hey, to each their own.
also xanadu next i love that game and i would like a new xanadu game like that one at least in the setting

I own it - I collect, kinda - for vita. Should I give it my time? I love Y's memory of C, well, lots of Ys actually. thoughts?
@@HotTakeHQ Tokyo Xanadu story is deeper than most Ys games, it takes longer, the 1 or 2 platforming areas of the game show off some clunky controls, but, I loved it. It felt like Cold Steel with action combat.

Wow that Einhel Keep track from Cold Steel 3 is soooo good!
It is. It kind of reminds me of Xenosaga Episode II, like it should be part of that game's OST instead. Just the same kind of space-opera-in-the-future vibe I get from it is all. It feels like it belongs in some Ormus facility a lot more than it does in the training grounds of the Thors branch campus.

Bring Up Trust is definitely one of the best Trails themes, though in general the whole series has a great soundtrack

YS is pretty great and hell yeah, Trails is totally worth playing.

Trails is incredible. The obvious recommended way to play the series is definitely from the beginning Trails in the Sky arc, then Crossbell Arc, and finally Erebonia arc. For me, I played Trails of Cold Steel 1 and 2 first, then went back to the Trails in the Sky trilogy, then the Crossbell Arc. I’ve Trails of Cold Steel 3 and 4 sitting on my shelf ready to play. So far, I’d say it’s a tie between Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter and Ao No Kiseki/Trails to Azure. Seriously, it’s the greatest JRPG franchise I’ve ever played.
