    Note to myself:
    Apply oil and rubs.
Smoke for 2 hrs, at 250 - 270 degrees . Spray water after 1hr mark.
Then wrap in foils, then cook for another 1.45 or 2 hrs at same temperature .
Take ribs out, put them in foil trays and cook for 15 mins to dry the rib. Apply sauces after this.

I have a gas grill and I found baby back ribs on sale a few weeks ago. My husband said if I wanted to buy them I had to cook them that day! I had no plans so I figured why not. I came across this video and followed it exactly (I used butter for the foil process, it worked beautifully!) Those ribs came out amazing! I found ribs on sale again this weekend and decided to give it another go. I'm about halfway through the process and I already know they're going to turn out fantastic again! I just wanted to stop in and thank you for this awesome video. One day ill own a smoker, but for now I'm making do with my gas grill!

    BBQ rib steps
    1. Take membrane off
    2. Use binder (honey mustard, peanut oil, Dijon mustard...)
    3. Apply to bone side. Meat side last
    4. Apply dry rub on bone side. Repeat 3-4 on meat side. Allow to absorb
    Smoking process
    1. Bring griller to 250º
    2. Turn on left burner med heat. Keep at 250 º
    3. Place ribs on indirect side bone side down
    4. Add smoke tube (wood chips wrapped in aluminum)
    5. Keep temp at 250º
    6. After 1 hour, create spray solution (pineapple, apple, red wine vinegar for acidity. Equal parts)
    7. Spray with solution
    8. In about 1 hour check if ready to wrap
    9. How to wrap: 1. On aluminum foil, add drizzle of margarine, sprinkle sugar, and give drip of hot sauce. 2. Place ribs meat side down 3. Repeat step 1 on bone side 4. Wrap in foil
    Tenderizing process
    1. Leave for 1 hour on indirect side
    2. After 1.25 hours, check for pullback and disintegration
    3. After 45 min, check for drawback and membrane disintegration
    BBQ look back
    1. Take off grill
    2. Make aluminum boats and place rib bone side down
    3. Add light rub. More on fat where it’s rendered
    4. Melt rub (place rib back on grill 10-15 min)
    5. For dry rub (sprinkle more dry rub before serving)
    6. For wet rib (brush sauce on and wait 10-15 min more)
    7. After 15 min, add light amount of dry rub on desired rack. Take out of grill on pan
    8. Add sauce on other rib. Brush. Wait 10 more min. Temp is still 250º NEVER LET SAUCE GET DARK
    9. Let ribs rest for few minutes to allow moisture to soak in
    Enjoy!🍖😋

+HowToBBQRight Malcom Reed Help me out here. I have Maverick thermo and test it to accurate so I know it is accurate. When I make ribs like this with foil on my WK I simply can't let the meat sit foiled for over an hour max. If I do the ribs are falling apart and I don't want them falling apart mushy. I indirect smoke at 225 to 250 for 3 hours then when I foil I really have to watch how long they on or they get mushy. I don't add but a little liquid like most. Every vid I see people do same thing but their ribs are still needing more foil time at the hour mark. What is the deal?

    • @peechyman
      @peechyman 7 ปีที่แล้ว

Jay Smooth sounds like u need to keep the temp at the 250 range and maybe cut down to 2 hours then wrap for 2 hours...also you could stay at the 250 range and smoke all the way out without wrapping them just don't go to heavy with sugar in the rub and you will get the result you are looking for

Awesome job! I returned my Traeger grill back, initially bought it for smoking, and bought a good dependable bbq. Searched on TH-cam “how to turn your bbq into a smoker and slow cooker “ and your awesome video came up! Thank you!

Is it okay to keep smoking them in the gas grill for the last two hours if you spray them a lot or put a bowl of water in the grill. It seems a shame that at least half of the cooking time is without smoke. Those look delicious but I didn't see any smoke ring.

I had trouble with getting my smoke bomb smoking, also my Master Forge Gas Grill has a totally different heat circuit pattern in the box, once I found the heat pattern the ribs began to cook, it took them 2 hours longer than yours, I used honey mustard and I must say they were delicious following the rest of your instructions, Thanks Malcolm I enjoy your videos!
