I had the honor to work as Levon's road manager in 1981 with the Cate Brothers. Changed my life. Thanks Levon and Sandy❤

I was lucky enough to be a camera op on this show back then. Surely a highlight of those days...

You are very lucky! I was a long time fan of Conan O'Brien, and I think he had his best work during his tenure on Late Night.
However, this election cycle was more than I could stomach, and I haven't watched anything of his in about a year. In my opinion, he's an elitist who's become grossly out of touch with the American people outside of his isolated little studio, and those in his studio audience, as well as Southern California in general.
And I'm not naive enough to blame just him. Unfortunately, most late-night TV has gone that direction. Even SNL.
It's a real shame. He gave me many nights of laughs during Late Night, and I was a devout fan of his. Then Leno screwed him over, and he became bitter (like Letterman before him). But I sympathized with him, and followed him to his new show.
Not anymore. But I still have fond memories.
You were very blessed to be able to work on his show, and I hope you too have happy memories of the experience.

One of my biggest regrets I’ll ever experience is not seeing Levon play live before he passed. I should have just walked to Woodstock for one of his rambles.

Does anyone notice that after Levon finishes the first song, Conan comes from a different side of the stage to thank Levon. I just realized that because Levon's back was to where Conan and the others were seated, and he would have had to get up and walk around the cameras, to the other side to see Levon performing.

I just read that Levon was an influence on JJ Johnson so I'm checking him out. He is solid and tasteful. Great drumming.

Scott Dimond I often try to incorporate some of Levon’s techniques into my own drumming. It’s a lot of fun honestly, he had such a unique way of playing.

At least a handful of people were aware enough to clap at the intro to
'The Weight'. My first exposure to The Band was in !973 at Watkins Glen,
playing with The Dead and the Allman Brothers.

That's Larry Campbell who for many years was part of Levon's Midnight Ramble Band. His wife, Teresa Williams is to his right. To his left is Amy Helm, Levon's daughter.
