All of these reactors are people I subscribe to and to see them all reacting together to the same song is pure genius. Yes, I was one of those guys that enjoyed The Carpenters music back then, but I was quiet about it.
Richard specifically arranged the music to spotlight Karen’s beautiful vocals.
I remember hearing about her death on February 04, 1983.
I was at work in El Segundo, California. It was a shocker, and that’s when anorexia became a known medical condition.
Her death opened the door to the acknowledgment of that condition. By her death, many individuals in a sense were saved from death.
She is my number one female vocalist of all time.
When she performed… it was believable what she was singing about.

One of the best. That deep, controlled alto voice that sails over every note it hits. A sophisticated instrument, to be sure; and treated like one by Karen herself, and by her brother, the arranger.
