@@techlifeunity O K, Now I understand the words, but are you saying that we can ignore the warning that says "disabling the app can cause other problems"? Also what does "replace this app with factory version" mean? Thanks

@@debmauritson5016 You don't have to replace the app after you disable it on your phone. When that option comes up just click cancel. Good info, very clear. I am looking to figure out how to delete the many images that seem to be stored on my phone from apps, images I don't even know are there until I go to put my pictures on my computer and I have to sift through dozens of unwanted images. But when I go to try to get them off of my phone, I can't find them. I'm not sure which apps are doing this, so I don't know which ones to delete. Thanks for the info.
Helps a bit, but My 16GB device claims to need over 15GB just for Android system. They make it very hard to delete spyware and other stuff completely not useful to me. I know this is more than double the amount actally needed for the system to work but it is more than 10 times the storage I use for my own stuff. I end up with something like 100 to 200 measly MB of useable space even after I go through everything. This can be used up in less than one day of heavy device usage. Something very wrong going on that I have no control over.
WOW THAT IS WRONG! SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY OFF.. MAYBE YOU CAN DO A FACTORY RESET TO START OVER AGAIN.. WHO KNOWS YOU MIGHT HAVE SETTLED THE ISSUE BY NOW BUT HOPE ALL IS BETTER BY NOW...
@@iamhere1315 It was tough but I finally found the bloat files (idk if that's the proper phrase) and then finding a way to delete was tougher, but persistence paid off. None of the apps, including files or downloads would show the bloat files. This is where TH-cam was key, giving me the hint to go to settings, then files. Even then I had to go roundabout. Then the real tough nut, attempting to delete. Every attempt with the phone alone was complete failure. Nevertheless, I was moving my few valuable personal files onto an external plug in drive, so I tried something on a whim, not deleting, but moving the files, and IT WORKED! It was tedious bc only about 20 files at a time could be moved, then I had to delete then from the external storage before repeating. Most, but not all of the files turned out to be random videos from Telegram which I never actually viewed (lots of cat videos). Thankfully, bc I don't actually keep any videos myself, I didn't have to worry about deleting the wrong thing. Total space thus opened up was over 4 GB.
Thank you for the easy to follow instructions. This is the very first time I found the instructions clear and easy to follow. Other videos elsewhere are difficult to folloe. Thank you!!
You are so far the person that I found the most credible when trying to help other people and I really appreciate that, you speak clearly and very understandable when explaining step by step the right way to teach us, for example, I'm at a person which has no Technology nor Internet knowledge and I wanted to know if it was okay to clear data, cache and cookies so I wanted to know that because I was afraid to do something wrong no my question to you is is it okay if I delete or clear data, cache and cookies from a site? Thanks and I appreciate what you are doing for us the kind of people which are trying to learn as much as it's needed, thanks again
Thank you so much for your kind words! Feel free to clear cache & cookies data from your browser. Just keep in mind that your data will then not be saved. For example if you're logged into an account on a website and you clear the data, you will likely have to log back in next time.
How do you know what to delete. I'm scared that if I delete something my phone will not work correctly as that message always pops up. Is that just a scare tatic? My phone is so full I don't even have any apps I put on there now its frustrating.
Drive me crazy. I can't find "app manager" anywhere. I have an old smartphone mini android 6.0 and it just doesn't seem to have these options that she talks about. It's well presented and all that, this vid, just drives me nuts that I never seem to be able to find the exact process. Maybe I need a new phone? Maybe that's why people get a new phone, because the old one's buggered and you can't get support for it anymore, like PCs and operating systems in the old days.
After 6 mos some phone co. Say you qualified to get a new replacement phone. Cricket does. Ypu can keep your phone. They give you a free..phoneaaYou pay only activation and monthly rate. Call they tell you. let them know i referred you.. Halimah shamsiddeen
I have a phone that is slow and have a problem with my patience at times but my browser seems like it has a mind of its own. So what I'm saying is my browser settings are not what I like and have times when I want to throw it in the sink (and have) ... Why does it seem to fight my actions or hide things I'm looking for
I delete everything that didn't say "this my interfere with phone activity". When I tried to disable the camera, contacts, messaging, ect... on my Google app it said it my interfere with my phone. Was that a lie tring to get me not to disable it so Google can spy on me?
I was watching your video and thought that you explained things well. But, when I open my settings there is not a list of apps that you talk about. Am I doing something wrong?
There is this app called Carrier hub and Idk what to do with it if I should disable it wich I did and the app is still there or force stop and I have no information about this app
So when all this is done, you'll most likely find that you don't actually need a smartphone, or at least that you can't use it for anything useful anymore. I have a very annoying app on my phone that I really want to uninstall, but so far I haven't been able to figure out how: That super annoying battery saving app. I'd rather prefer my phone to unexpectedly die than having all those annoying reminders all the time.
I've been dealing with this for years I've gone to sprint & t-mobile they have all told me there's code on my phone but nothing they can do . I'm in fear everyday for myself and my children....it's been a long painful ongoing nightmare !!!!! I've been called crazy by family just for mobile store to say you have someone remotely accessing it. Family say it's crazy cell phones are secure and mobile company has no idea what there talking about . I just want help is all. Any advice to secure my phone will be appreciated
Hi Elizabeth. If you're worried about something being on your device you could try fully erasing/resetting your device as a last resort to start fresh.
Anything I do on my S20 phone does the same thing on my S10 tablet. I want to clean up my phone but keep the stuff on my tablet. Can you tell me how to do that? My tablet actually does more with the same app than my phone.
Hmm, if you're using the same accounts in the apps on both devices, the actions you take on the account on one device are likely being mirrored across all devices. Which app specifically are you having this issue with?
Great info. The moderator goes too fast for me to follow. I saved the video so I can rewatch/listen and pause it. Is there another way I can slow this down. Thank you!
You can slow the video down: 1 - click the SETTINGS gear (at the right side of "CC") 2 - select PLAYBACK SPEED 3 - click NORMAL 4- select a slower speed (0.75, 0.5, 0.25) or for variable speed select CUSTOM and move slider to the left You'll find that a lot easier than using PLAY / PAUSE.
I have an android phone . There is this application that always pop up on my screen and I can't use my phone until it finishes what it is doing. How can I get rid of this app from appearing on my phone
Go through all installed apps on phone system menu to permission s are on some in system such as location and microphone and canera that don't show up in app permission s
I dont know what androidsystem you have, but in my settings are battery and storage not in the first menu! They are only under maitenance to find, and there is all totaly diffrent then in your video!!!!
I've done the whole disable pre-installed apps, and it literally took me like 2 hours, and I still didn't get to all of them.. Why isn't there a way to disable multiple apps at 1 time?

Thank you for your clear instruction..so informative
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you!!
You're welcome!
Thanks ,,,,, now my cell is back on point ,,,, great educational information '
Glad to help
Just wondering, if you delete/ uninstall a paid-for App but later want to reinstall it, do you have to pay for it again?
No you should be able to just re-download it as long as you're using the same account on the app store
How do you know what to delete. I'm scared that if I delete something my phone will not work correctly as that message always pops up. Is that just a scare tatic? My phone is so full I don't even have any apps I put on there now its frustrating.
You forgot to clear all the cache before deleting the app or else it still will be stored on your phone.
Yes you need a smart phone update..
@@halimahshamsiddeen6542 I bought new galaxy A12. Haha. Now got bunch of new problems to deal with. That OK. I like it.👍
ITS A GIMMICK
I know what you are talking about , I have an Android 6.0 and mine doesn't have app manager on mine either so what do we do ?
Jessica Professional please update this fine video for pions like myself. Job well done.

Thanks I really needed this info

I have a phone that is slow and have a problem with my patience at times but my browser seems like it has a mind of its own. So what I'm saying is my browser settings are not what I like and have times when I want to throw it in the sink (and have) ... Why does it seem to fight my actions or hide things I'm looking for
Absolutely I think you are wonderful you have answered a many questions that I didn't know how to ask
You're welcome!
Why would you turn of your drive?
Can you discuss clearly how to uninstall weather app I cant uninstall
Very nice. Thank you 🙏
You're welcome!
I delete everything that didn't say "this my interfere with phone activity". When I tried to disable the camera, contacts, messaging, ect... on my Google app it said it my interfere with my phone. Was that a lie tring to get me not to disable it so Google can spy on me?
Thank u so much, I feel much safer now using my phone.
You're welcome!
Very informative.
So much for making this video this really helps me
You're welcome!
I was watching your video and thought that you explained things well. But, when I open my settings there is not a list of apps that you talk about. Am I doing something wrong?

So, uh, where's this so called "list of pre installed apps we recommend deleting" that was SUPPOSED to be"in the description below"?
The list is in the description box. You may need to click "Show More" to expand the description to see it
Awesome! Love it. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
Great video. I will start making use of it too.
Thank you!
Great job. Thanks
Thank you! Happy to help
Tried to do all these things, but my phone is so old (galaxy core prime) and could not accomplish any. Good info though for a more functional device.
Fantabulous excellent blessings thanks
You are so welcome
Good, but some of those preinstalled apps really need to come off. How do we find someone that knows how to root smartphones?
You don't need to root anything.. just use adb fastboot on a windows pc
@@THE202 I don't know the first thing about that. What's adb? Is it already on my computer? If not, where do I get it? And what's fastboot?
Thank you this helped so much
You're welcome!
Thanks for the information.
Our pleasure!
Why would certain Apps Not be able to remove?
Some apps that come pre-installed on the device are considered "essential" by your phone's operating system and cannot be deleted.
Thank you!
You can slow the video down:
1 - click the SETTINGS gear (at the right side of "CC")
2 - select PLAYBACK SPEED
3 - click NORMAL
4- select a slower speed (0.75, 0.5, 0.25) or for variable speed select CUSTOM and move slider to the left
You'll find that a lot easier than using PLAY / PAUSE.
Where is the list apps at? Not locating!
How is I'm supposed to your videos without TH-cam
You can still watch videos your on your Android without the app by going to TH-cam.com/techboomers in your web browser!
VERY good info helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Definitely help.🙏🙏🙏
Glad I could help!
Thank you. Well put together!
Glad you enjoyed it!

I dont know what androidsystem you have, but in my settings are battery and storage not in the first menu! They are only
under maitenance to find, and there is all totaly diffrent then in your video!!!!
This video is a little old, plus all Android devices are different. Glad you were able to find the settings on your own device.
Can you do a update on thus?
Very informative
Thanks!
Not really. How to determine which app can be deleted wirthout damaging phone functions?
My Moto E does not show what you say it will.
It's soo simple that i know more than it
I've done the whole disable pre-installed apps, and it literally took me like 2 hours, and I still didn't get to all of them..
Why isn't there a way to disable multiple apps at 1 time?
You can do a factory reset! I believe that's what I'm going to do...
great help!!
Glad we could help!
