Yes the pratt and whitney is quieter but weaker bc at full thrust it only has 33000 But on the cfm 1a is 35000 But cfm has some heat issue could cost (engine failure i guess)
I think it has to do a bit with physics and tangential velocity of the fan in front. The 737 MAX uses a variant of the LEAP that has a smaller diameter. With the engine core spinning at the same speed, the outer edge of the fan blades doesn't go as fast as the variant of the LEAP used on the A320neo series which uses a larger diameter fan.
Wow, the LEAP can really scream despite supposedly being quieter than older engines. Maybe they were referring to reduced jet exhaust noise rather than fan noise, still very interesting!
I've flown on A320 ceo series a lot, as well as a few times on 320 neo and 321 neo. I can't say that I find neo quieter. It is a different sound, but not quieter. Particularly at the cruising altitude - effectively, equally loud (maybe by a tiny fraction quieter). However, the start-up and flex/toga sound is FANTASTIC. Along with A350's Trent engine, it is my favourite engine sound - true power. While most people need quieter engines, personally as an avgeek, I love this sound! Thanks for your comment
Those Leap engines are really powerful and super quiet! I like the PW 1000Gs better, but still awesome! I like engine start and line up, but the taxi part of these type vids is sometimes really looong. BTW..who's still flying to/ from Moscow?! Would've thought BA said eff that, mostly because of the whole 'declare war on a sovereign neighbor' part. Anyway, great post!
I thought the leap was supposed to be a much quieter engine? Sounds loud as fuck (cool) even compared to the V2500. It’s got a very high frequency whine going on.
I hate always crying and screeming baby's and children on planes when you want to make a nice video or and capture or just listen to the wonderfull sounds of the engine. Children have always the need to ruïn that. They need to offer baby/young child free flights and select a special place in the front of the plane where all the loud crying children are placed. The sound of the engines and ultimately wind will create a wall of base noise so that those sounds won't travel that far and are isolated in a small place so that a very big part of the travelers won't hear anything.
Love the modern buzzsaw. Best sounding A321neo I've heard on TH-cam
Engines sound cool af
Omg fr !!!!!
Even cooler is the GE CF6
17:06 mann the buzzsaww....
Well indeed, the sound of a321 Neo is Way better than the boeing 737's :)
nobody is born cool exept for flight attends who do the saftey instructions after or before engine start
Sounds like a mini GENX
Excellent engine sound! 👍
LEAP 1A produces one of the best engine sound 😘Air India Boeing 787-8 dreamliner taking off at 8:38???
Mini GE 90!!
The a321 neo with CFM leap is way better than the Pratt and Whitney engines

Pratt Whitney had a problem having to do with engine failures to but not in the a321 variant, the bigger triple 7 if you know what I mean
@@AE.rojet_aviation i know the engine explosion
@@AE.rojet_aviation plus there are many report about engine failure on a320 with pw1100g
It's Strange That The A321neo's From Cebu Pacific And Philippine Airlines Used Pratt And Whitney Engines Instead Of The CFM LEAP
16:17 heres what everyones waiting for
💯! The sound is INSANE!
I was waiting for spoiling up
I have never heard a buzzsaw sound from a LEAP equipped 737. I don’t really know why.

also depends where you sit, you cannot hear it behind the wing
The growl dang
Awesome sound 😫

Mini boeing 777 sound
Personally preferred the CFM LEAP-1A as it had the LEGENDARY CF6 growl

Thanks for your comment! There are no direct flights between Russia and the UK at the moment.

Wonder why they crossed 27L onto the Southern Taxiway Sierra and entered the 27L from Sierra? Never seen that before.
interesting to hear those engine sound at cruising altitude, like they're about to descend, but its not
Sounds like the trent 700 buzz
Not exactly. It's a fusion of the GE90 and the GE CF6 because CFM International was owned by GE on one half
Thx for the info now i know why
16:20 Engine roar.
TAKE-OFF
cool
Why is so loud?
