I have been watching this show since about episode 75 or 80 and have watched/listened to all of the episodes. I love the show and the content that you guys keep putting out and will continue to watch/listen as you post or produce future episodes and projects.
Hey, an archive diver here! I started listening around episode 270 and then went back to listen to all the guest episodes, and then i started listening from geminitay’s episode- currently at episode 130 ish! I’ll have to go back and start from episode 1 one of these days 😅
When I found this podcast a month or two ago I went back and started at the beginning. I listen to the new ones when they come out and I listen to the old ones between the other podcasts I listen to. I'm up around episode 20? I think? Keep up the good work guys. I love this
Oh my god that intro is so nostalgic I watched from like episode 90 to around 200 I kinda stopped listening for a year or 2 but damn is it good to be back love from Vancouver
I love the show and always enjoy hearing about your Minecraft experiences and opinions. I appreciate your thoughtful approach to the movie trailer rather than just piling on with the criticism. For me, the negative reaction to the trailer came from a sense that it was mocking the game (and therefore the players). It felt to me as if they were laughing at us rather than with us and that unfortunately coloured any opinions on the artwork and creative decisions.
The movie really gives "the book was better" vibes. They can't please everyone bc the experiences of gameplay are different for every player. I do disagree with Pix in that many players do interact with the game through YT and streamers making play through or even Captain Sparkles type videos (i can't remember his "movie" title) so we don't necessarily have the attitude that we could just play the game instead of watch a movie about it. We just have a larger amount of creator choices to select from. This movie will appeal to a specific group of players/media consumers, and that just is what it is. I will be watching and expecting a train wreck, so hopefully, I'll be pleasantly surprised.
@@RagingViking901 i already booted up minecraft again for the first time since covid The youtube algorithm has been feeding me mc content ever since that trailer dropped
@@robyyn_your_gender I only got into Minecraft just under a year ago. So I'm still fairly new. This podcast has been awesome. You really should go back and listen to the earlier episodes. I've had a great time hearing about how things have changed in the years since the game first came out. They also have an uncanny ability to predict things ...
The movie trailer kind of makes me think they've misunderstood a target audience. Or I have a different idea of who may be the audience to this? After playing for about 10yrs I think of most players being my age (mid 20s) or a bit older as a fan of Hermitcraft.
I have a fondness for game adaptation movies(not Uwe Boll though). The difficulty in translating one type of media into another results in such an interesting range of weird choices being made. If the Minecraft movie turns out to not work it'll simply be the last entry in a fine tradition of bad ideas(that I enjoy).
45:15 As a bedrock player, it's nice to see you including that feedback also!

Well one good thing about the movie/trailer is that this is the first video/episode of the podcast suggested by youtube to me 😅
Are you going to watch it all from ep 1? It's a fun journey!!

46:39 I like the Steamdeck for that reason I can use the track pads for the Inventory and then switch back to the controller.

Incidentally, I wonder if Steve's appearance in flames was him respawning after having died.
