I am delighted to hear that you all got together with Imp and Skizz. I enjoy their podcast quite a lot and I've been hoping to hear a roundtable with the four of you 😁
Here from Imp and Skizz! I watch Pixlriffs too but haven't ever checked the Spawn Chunks podcast out before (shame on me I know). Finally here and subscribed!
Followed and watched Pixlriffs for years, but found this podcast only now, through Imp&Skizz! Wild! I love this format, and I have been missing a minecraft oriented, intelligent pod
I was looking forward to you guys getting together with Imp and Skizz, so excited to hear that episode and hoping you guys get them on here at some point!
It'd be pretty fun to have an 'ornate fence' item for each wood type. Would make it possible to have a real white picket fence along with all the other unique fences with the other woods
What if they created a net new unique flower with a new dye. This could lead to having more dye combinations as well. I understand the sheer amount of texture work that means with all the dyeable blocks. But to Joel’s point end game you occasionally become limited by the 16 color options.
I love that literally every artist in the community is like “yknow it would be So Fun if we had a Non-Realistic, Completely Fantastical and Fictional Firefly that would never ever affect reality, ever” about firefly (revenge) concepts
I think adding a fog effect to the Pale Garden would go a long way to giving it a unique vibe, almost like it’s an enchanted forest Maybe light fog normally & dense fog when it rains? Could also add a related unique mob that spawns from the Hearts during rainfall to add dynamic gameplay to the biome
As I usderstood it, Bundles of Bravery is the 1.22, and the Winter Drop with the Pale Garden is an incremental drop before 1.22. But I agree, there is a lot of shuffling happening right now and it will take a few drops, say 6-8 months, before we have a rhythm for the drops and development of the new terminology. It seems to me that the Experimental Features is a way to get the content out to the player, even though it's established coming content, so they play it and give feedback so any tweaks and bug fixes can be adressed before a more solid release is dropped.
Small correction - you get white leaves on Bedrock when it *snows*, not when there's snow on top of them.

I was waiting for that pairing as well. I can't wait to see it!!!
Thanks! It was a really good conversation, a mix of behind the scenes chat, and of course really fun. Glad you're both looking forward to it!
I love the idea of using ambient sound to soundscape a build by meeting the block requirements for that/those sounds!

Came from Imp and Skizz!
i love how the views on TH-cam boosted because of the video format
Expanding on the possibility of pale oak being dyeable, what if we could get pale oak chests that could be dyed and help on the sorting front.

i loved this episode and i am loving you build Pixlriffs and I am also loving the new java snapshot and the pail gaurden and creeking.
Is it just me or is joel's audio balanced slightly to the left? Not a big problem, just noticed it when putting in my second earbud

Holy crap, I have been blessed with the "First" comment opportunity on my favorite podcast! Love what you guys do🤘
After hearing about Joel talk about Transformers, I want to know his thoughts on Transformers One
Short version, go see it in theatres! I'll be talking about it in detail on The Citadel Cafe very soon.
I've never seen Joel before!! 😮 face reveal! 😂
