- This NEW Pokemon Emerald Rom Hack is INSANELY hard! I'm over 300 attempts in and have learned a thing or two. So today, we'll be going through the Winona split and how to hardcore nuzlocke it IN DETAIL.

Guys, don't make my mistake. In my current PB I lost my Togedemaru because I when calcing for the first fight, because I forgot to remove sun from the battlefield after battling Flannery. I thought I could tank two hits from Floatzel, when instead I was a 2HKO

I found an insane strategy during my Sandbox run for Ape bridge rival. You bait high horsepower and waterfall into Unburden prefrozen aspear Hawlucha and Dragonite respectively. Hawlucha encores the Swampert while Dragonite kills Gyarados with thunder/thunder punch. From there, Hawlucha can be the bait for Dragapult, but dynamic speed means it can set up tailwind so Dragonite outspeeds the rest of the team. Magnezone and Toxicroak come in exactly on turns where Hawlucha isn't setting encore/tailwind, so it can rock smash/dual wingbeat them respectively. Dragonite needs to have Electric move, Dragon Claw, Draco Meteor, and Superpower.
Pretty awesome strat tbh. Sandbox is so much fun

Well the chance of having both hawlucha and dragonite at this point in the game is incredibly small.

Squerk this is the second time now that you release a video the day after i wipe to the split in question. Which isn't a lot but wierd it had happened twice. Great video tho

My PB wiped to Shelly and the Excadrill strat is exactly what I used--it got the 1/5 for Nihilego to not rocks turn 2, and knocked me into a range where Outrage had a few overlapping rolls (and then of course it clicked outrage). My line got cooked and I wiped. At least my strat wasn't crazy, just unlucky i guess. Maybe I needed to scale SpDef or something on Exca
That fight is a demon
Super unfortunate :( I had a minimum defense excadrill that also baited outrage once, but thankfully Prim took everything like a champ

Do you count the Castform as an Encounter?
I forgot to mention it but I do! I know some people do and some don’t, just preference I suppose just like every other nuzlocke rule

you should add the heart scale locations for each split as well as i have a hard time finding them even with the documents

This series is very useful for my attemps so far. My ruleset alllows me infinite heart scales so it's much easier but i've really enjoyed learning the AI. Hopefully I can beat my PB of flannery now that I have Hamilton and Carracosta for attempt 13.
