I saw the new Mini Clubman at a pre-presentation by my car seller. I think a really big mistake of the designer/engineers are the placement of the braking lights into the bumper. The lights position are to low and not in the direct view of a car driver behind the Clubman. Additional there is a lot of dirt in this area and a high portability of a damage of the lights itself caused e.g. by parking bumping. For me it is not clear why they haven't used the amazing normal LED backlight for the braking function too. Cheers DrDuu
It looks good from outside...but what is the reason for such a big fuel tank cap??? Too much BMW inside. Which platform is used? BMW 2er, same like F56? Then there is no Mini Drive feeling anymore...

Some people may not like the changes, but that is how the car manufacturers change nowadays. When Porsche has shown Cayenne, everyone was like 'What the f*** is this'. And now it has 50% of sales for this brand.
I own a 2013 clubman and I was excited at the prospect of a redesign but I agree it has lost that edgy element of spontaneity ....where is the cool third door? where is the center mounted speedometer? you're so right now it's just another car from brand xyz
BMW Mini's aren't mini any more. they seem bloated and overweight compared to the original happy looking city car. it almost feels like the early 80s design would fit inside the luggage space of the newest lol :) if it wasn't for the familiar front end it could just as well be a car from any other brand.

MINI does it again. By which I mean an ugly exterior. But at least it isn't on the same level with that "backwards cap" fiasco of the MINI Coupé. MINI desperately needs to hire some new designers.
