New patterns from New Look, pattern haul. Hobby Lobby is currently selling all New Look Patterns for 99 cents. Comment below and tell me if you're buying any patterns from Hobby Lobby for the 99-cent sale.
Good to know that New Look patterns are on sale. We haven’t seen .99 cents patterns in a long while. I’m definitely going to see if there are a few patterns that I can buy. Thanks for sharing this information
Im a new sewist. Something to do as I settle into retirement. Rushed to my local Hobby Lobby in Alabama and bought 44 patterns for under $50. What a blessing! Spent $25 yesterday for one 1991 Jessica Howard Butterick 6531 😢, so this sale made me feel a lot better.😅
Yes, it really is a great deal. They used to have Butterick, New Look, Simplicity, and McCall's pattern sales for 99 cents before covid. After covid, they started selling Butterick, Simplicity, and McCall patterns for $1.99 or $2.99. I understand the need to increase cost due to inflation, but I really miss those days 😢
Hello! I went to Hobby Lobby for the second time to find some patterns for my daughter. Since I’ve never sewn using New Look patterns before, I wanted to make sure to follow recommended size based on measurements. However, I am finding them to run large and had to redo some seams. I’m excited to have this great haul of seemingly easy patterns. I guess I’m set for quite a while. Thanks for sharing yours.
I found them at my local store in La Quinta, Ca. Thanks for the tip! They weren’t in any order. I just grabbed a chair from the pattern book desk, and had a treasure hunt! 4-11-24
Great choices! I’d get into so much trouble so I’m glad I’m avoiding HL. Btw I have a few of these already and I’m definitely going into my stash and giving N6654 a closer look.
Thank you for the heads up about the sale. I'm an hour drive one way to the nearest Hobby Lobby but my daughter said she might go this weekend to shop for herself and i might see if she'll drop me of at H.L.😀.
I went to my Hobby Lobby in Cleveland, Tennessee, and the New Look patterns were in the clearance section ON THE BOTTOM SHELF and NOT in numerical order. So I sat on the floor and went through them all. I did find several patterns, but most of what I had on my list were not there. Still it was fun going through them all.
That does sound fun. Even though I like things to be in numerical and chronological order, sometimes it's fun sifting through unorganized patterns. I'm glad you were able to find a few patterns.
Same way in Alabama, they took all New Look patterns out of the drawers and put in bins in the clearance section on bottom shelf. Took me 45 min to go thru them all. My back still hurts 😭
@@WeMakeMoneyMoves - I was praying that I would be able to get off the floor. I just had my 77th birthday, so when you sit on the floor, you’d better have a plan in place for how you’re going to get back up.
I picked up most of the patterns you have😂. When you turn your tops into a dress, do you just extend the length, or do you grade it out. I would also like to turn a top into a dress.
Both. I lengthen the pattern at the shorten/ lengthen line. If there's no line on the pattern, I create one about 1-2 inches below the waist line, and I grade out at the high hip.
