This is genius! Walken's gift for comedy is stellar
Paul Mitchell Chris Walken is awesome, crazy guy!lol
, took time to understand this walken guy. I think he is quite natural.... good.
These old sketches man, they are gold.
These are "old" to you?
@@alukuhito yeah 20 years ago seems kinda old to me dude.
Anyway I love these wacky Monty Python-esque sketches
Not only the sketches were gold but anyway ...
OLD TO OLD PEOPLE IS ALREADY THERE..... OLD TO NEW, YOUNG AND OLD MAKES SENSE ALL THE TIME..... GREAT SKIT....
Christopher's brilliant, but Tim's reactions are priceless.
Yeah these two are great together. Total deadpan brilliance.
And you never paid for drugs.... not once
Legend
how tf did Tim keep it together for this, im dying every line chris says hahahaha
Literally just finished my British census for 2020 and TH-cam recommends this to me. The algorithm is sentient.
Walken stares like a blind person. He really killed it. 😂
He's just reading his lines off cue cards. He keeps the acting to a minimum, and yeah he's killing it even though he's never seen his lines before. That's confidence.
@@Okinawatrip "never seen his lines before"? You know they rehearse these sketches, right? The staring is a bit weird, but not unusual on SNL. Still one of my favourite videos ever this one.
@@DOSkywalkR I'm sure there was a rehearsal. I'm a lot less sure that Christopher Dead Zone fucking Walken felt the need to attend. And if he was there, he surely didn't try to memorize his lines. SNL is probably his idea of spending a goofy afternoon as opposed to actual work. It would be a waste of his time and his talent to spend more time than he did preparing for these sketches. He could be reading an average recipe of chicken masala off his cue cards and he would still be more entertaining than all of the rest of the cast combined. Not that he cares either way.
@@Okinawatrip it’s true, many of the sketches show the characters looking off in weird directions! It’s a bit odd at first if you’re new to SNL , and I didn’t get it either until I read a reply here in the comment section that explained it about a year ago 😅
"Boy...I really overshot it with the 80 thing, huh?" LOL...fucking dying here.
The fact that he has sound logical retorts to every ridiculous thing he says is amazing!
An unusual instance of a great punchline in an snl sketch. The writing on this one is all good too, makes this a fave. And Walken is perfect for this sketch 😂😂😂😂
Tina Fey wrote this sketch, of course it's good!
I used to work with a company called TNS Gallup, and I can confirm that there are people like this out there.
Delluvian Don't push your politics on me man
Delluvian ..... I was gonna say .
People are fucking with you because these surveys are ridiculous
I used to respond like this if TNS Gallup called 😇
Tbh in the UK, a lot of government stuff (especially welfare/benefits) you end up panicking and overanalysing questions/answers because people are terrified something will be considered in a different way by them and they'll use that as an excuse to make you destitute.
walkens delivery is flawless....
It is, which is why it’s so strange that he’s clearly reading off cards. It’s off putting but he nails every line
This dialogue is absolutely off the wall. Brilliant original script writing ✍️
I just LOVE the look Christopher gives as if you have no choice but to accept his answer
This is probably what pushed Caleb over the edge and started him on cannibalism.
NINE NINE!!!
WHAT?!?!
Hooohh.....it is caleb...!so he was stressed eating after this job huh...
🤣
Haha
Actual footage of Christopher Walken filling out a census
He’s so good!
This is the funniest SNL sketch I have ever seen. Literally had tears in my eyes 2min in.
Tina Fey wrote this one and said it was her favourite ^^
I love how they kept straight face over this hilarious skit 😂
I cannot think of anyone else who could pull that off except Chris Walken.
"Don't push your politics on me man"
*pal
FerretBarret politics 😂😂😂
When he starts with "Oh boy"
This is one of the best sketches ever.
This and the Cowbell one most definitely. Its impossible to find nowadays though
When these episodes were in live in old days at that point of time probably those who were of age 5 to 14 will always consider these sketches as a reminder of their childhood ...i always connect with these 80 90 sketches as my childhood memories ...god what a brilliant cast crew ..will keep watchin these episode for rest of my life
Coincidentally, this sketch was the same night/episode as Cowbell.
Tim Meadows is the star here. How did he keep a straight face, never mind the puzzled expression.
Agree
I have seen it 100 times, love it every time.
I don't know, I'm so bad at guesstimating
Florida is part of the US.
Don’t push your politics on me pal.
when you say it like that, my life sounds pretty damn good....
Let’s proceed as if this is going really well...
Me doing homework, reading/writing or talking to people:
Not just a sketch, it's pure gold
That has got to be my favourite skit!!
Walken always cracks me up.
This is still one of the funniest sketches. both of them are brilliant!
Best advice for all comedy actors out there : when you don't know how to do it, just play it straight.
LMAO!!! Fantastic script and comic timing! Amazing clip!!!
PS: watch the Betty White cencus too! Thats hilarious too!
Blaaarrrrffenngaarr
Oh yeah, killing funny.
This is my favourite SNL skit ever, I was rolling around laughing, I think I nearly had a stroke!
when you say it like that my life sounds pretty damn good XDDDDD
Great script + great execution = perfection😂😂😂👍👍👍
Hehehe, my favorite SNL sketch of all. Christopher is genuinely a genius character. I almost repeat this sketch every day to boost my mood. I also like Evil Boss sketch, its funny as hell...
I don't know, I'm so bad at guesstimating
That's one dedicated census taker!
this wasn't a sketch this was just them going to walken's home haha
Has Mr. Walken even done comedy (besides this)? This guy is gold.
Check "Balls of fury"
Wayne's World
More cowbells
The walkens
His first acting gig as a child was in a Martin and Lewis film.
I love Christopher Walken😂
“Oh boy”. 🤣
probably my favourite snl sketch.
He simply reads the tele prompter without even hiding it, and he’s still bloody hilarious 🤣
One of the better ones. Really make me want to answer these things the same way.
This really shows how average writing can become funny through great delivery
I take back what I always said about Christopher Walken. He's not just scary, crazy and weird. He's scary, crazy, weird and f*cking hilarious!!
Hahaha 😂😂😆😅😂
Christopher Walken... the King of deadpan comedy.
One of the best I've seen!
Love it!
So that's 3 people listening to Steve Wright, his audience is growing.
"Let's just proceed as if this is going really well."
This is one of my favorite snl skits.
Love this guy, so straight faced.
Hey, Tim Meadows was the star, here. Walken had to listen to straightforward questions. It was Tim Meadows who had to listen to the hilarious answers, keep a straight face, plus the most puzzled expressions I've ever seen.
I would soooo love him answering my door to give responses like this to doorknockers...legend!
I'll never get tired of this
Underrated skit 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Both did a great job
Now that's how you should answer the census people.
Gotta love Walken. He's amazing.
I can't help but listen to Tom Huddleston's voice whenever Christopher Walken speaks
This was gold.
one of the best sketches of all time!
This is gold.
My father told me exactly the same thing. "I do not work full time, 12 hours is barely half a day".
Have to say...previous generation was badass.
Yes indeed they were, all previous generations. They worked hard, and worked til they died, jobs weren't "fun" and they usually stayed in that same thankless job forever
Old Generation walked 50km to school and back everyday
@@all_about_ches7600 MONTY PYTHON 1970s: "Why I lived in a hole in the ground with my brothers and sisters. We just had scraps of metal to eat!".
This is a masterwork.
Pure Gold!
5:00
Aargh! That's the same noise the ancient vampires in The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall makes.
I love finding video game sound effects in other things.
So now you know who is making that noise. It's Christopher Walken's wife, a bobcat! ^^
This is a great sketch. Props to the writters.
Written by Tina Fey.
Fantastic skit. I love it. And it is Christopher Walken who makes it great.
We have some candy bars 😂😂
Only Walken can pull off that shirt.
Wish they were all as good as this!
Why is this so hilarious, holy crap Walken is amazing at deadpan.
Tim Meadows had the more difficult part. He had to keep the straight face. Walken was just being Walken.
Me too!!!
Timeless
Whenever I show it at the border they just let me straight in. Pretty good forgery.
This could actually be Walken's real life and I would believe it.
I like how walken stares on nothingness 🤣
The old number concept thing. People with discalculia can relate!
"Sure"...then I floored
That's like interrogating someone in L.A noire.
Craziest stuff from Walken . 🤣
Haha I just would say yeah goodbye and close the door in there faces
Walken 👏👏
Walkens was clearly reading off some script while acting and still pretty damn good
haha "it's a hell of a forgery"
This really made me laugh.
Man, I loooove Christopher Walken!
Gold ⭐️
Love it
Brilliant
I'm watching all SNL skit with a million views only but when I saw this one 🤣😂😂 . Oh men hahaha
I laugh too hard that i couldnt breath
OMG the ending =)))))))))
Again?!!! We just did it 😂😂😂😂
Classic
this should have more views!!!!!!!!!!!!
The best snl show ever with Christooher Walken
0:03 is it the same building they would show in Friends? And why is Walken's line of sight is a little off centered throughout the conversation?
Reading cue cards
Definitely a citizen of Florida.
I LOVE CHRISTOPHER WALKEN AHH AHAHAHAA 😂😂😂
Top five best actors
