Great tutorial. I was pleased to see you using proper PPE. I see too many nimrods on the net doing power carving with no PPE...No excuses for stupidity. Save your eyes and lungs folks

Thanks for all these videos, great craftsmanship and detail. Michelangelo eyes are a common type of carved eye, think this is another term for the O Rourke eyes.

Thanks Ryan Love these info videos of yours ❤
My pleasure!
I’m just about ready to dive in. I can’t seem to get a straight answer regarding my saw. I just bought an MS 170 and I really want to put an 8” bar and chain on. Do I need to swap out the chain drive? I’ve seen kits with chain, bar and drive for $115-$150 roughly. I have plans for some carvings in my yard. Been hand carving for years. This is a while new level and I’m excited to get started. Appreciate any help you can offer and brand, what do you prefer in bar and chain? Your work is amazing, especially silly love the squatches. Love to see you do a life size dog man. For my backyard I’d love to have 5 or 6 life size Sasquatch, dogman, maybe a 8 or 9 foot alien grey. Who knows. Keep up the great work, you really are a good teacher and carver!
Awesome looking eyes dude, they are one thing I have to really take my time with cuz I screw um up lots lol. Great video & channel so you have a new sub & looking forward to your workshops, sounds really good. Thanks for sharing

Mike
Mike Riege soon as i get it together I’m thinking oct .. ill post a video for sure about it
Great video Ryan... just one question... how do you get those black lines in and around the eyes. I could see where you carve out the puple and the white circle of the eye ball, but there’s a very dark circle there also. Would you use a wood burning tool for that. I noticed you also have those dark lines around the eyes and beaks of eagles and owls...
It’s the Dremel come bitthats what I use it carves and burns same time
Thanks Ryan very cool instruction, and I like the illustration of the Dremel bit, I am in the market for a carving chainsaw, and locating one in Canada, is a challenge, looking forward to Saw Valley opening, it would be cool if Paypal would process payment, as I only have a debit card or Visa debit, sometimes dealing with online business is difficult for me. Anyhow good luck and thanks for the videos
Ryan did you used to do chain saw carving for a cabin company?
What power face shield are you wearing? I need to get one. I can't keep the dust out of my eyes.
Peke safety - jms power cap
Ryan. Where can I get that face shield respirator you are using?
Same question!
Where can I buy a flap sander?
