Bravo Matt !!! One of the BEST eye carving tutorials I've seen on TH-cam. Especially liked the anatomy lesson & several reference pics throughout the video. Definitely saving this for future reference.
Excellent and very clear video. Power carving technique provides much better visualization than the gouge-and-knife demos where the hands and tools are obstructing the view. Great presentation!
Thank you very much! This is one of the best eye carving tutorial videos! It's very interesting to watch all the steps and listen to the analytics of the process!👏
Well some of your wisdom with convex and concave as well as the distance are great and can be transferred to any medium when it come to making a face. I’ve saved the video for future reference.
Hi. Is it advisable to do the things that are trickier first, like the eyes? It would be hard to bear to get a carving mostly done and then mess it up by getting the hardest part wrong? I have a rotary tool but I haven’t done anything like this before so I am trying to learn as much as I can before starting off with very simple carvings. Your work is incredible. I do love faces in hoods etc. characterful faces. I think I will be watching a LOT of your videos in the very near future. What a great service you provide us, sharing your expertise like this on TH-cam. Thankyou so much. Brian 👍🇬🇧
Yeah I reckon start with simple carvings first without eyes, like the two gnome videos I recently posted. Or even doing flat carvings like the eagle and wolf one I did a while ago. Happy carving 👍
Great video mate, beautiful carving too. Is that watered down pain on old mates hat aswell? It's an awesome contrast. Thank you again for your wisdom. You should definitely consider a workshop of sorts, this information is all work a buck that's forsure! One more thing.. cheers for the heads up on mushroom burrs, bloody game changer they are lol
