Glad you mentioned the ammo bricks, as I feel like that is something looked over by a lot of people. Everyone focuses on pure DPS, but no one says anything about total potential damage of full reserves, and what you do when you have to go into a second phase with only 4 heavy shots due to finder brick economy.
I mean if you use 2 ammo finders, triple heavy reserves and leg scabs you get like 6-10 shot from a finders brick so I don’t really think ammo is an issue

I cant wait for something to replace cataphract. No way I am grinding trials. I really hope someday we get a GL equivalent to ghorn, where its a support weapon. Honestly colony would be a good candidate since its such a cool weapon but its so bad. It would be cool if it gave other GLs nanite or something but I get why bungie might not want to do that.
Hey dude go for the Ron GL with crafted recon and crafted surrounded its better then cat for swap and better for total damage if you get it procked if you can’t use a cascade point gl the next best thing with a swap rotation

I’d say getting the adept god roll is worth it, my adept god roll has spikes-envious-b&s-like 53 blast radios and I can run an adept mag mod and have 24 in the mag💀 while still running spikes and only having to switch to boss spect before dmg
I have a Auto Loading version and a Field Prep version with B+S. I feel the FP version would be better as it says more ammo and I main Hunter so I can dodge to reload while B+S is still active. Would that one be the way to go?
Another thing I thought I’d mention, the regnant is the exact same frame as cataphract, and can roll with autoloading/envious explosive light/cascade point. It comes from seasonal activities (if you had season of defiance) and so is a lot easier to get, not to mention it is craftable so you can choose perks and enhance them, additionally, it is void so it can benefit from volatile which is a nice plus I’d say. Basically, if you don’t want to farm trials and don’t have a team to raid for koraxis, try out regnant (:

I think the bigger problem with them is that they make more sense as an add clear gun for non-boss encounters, but they have the exact same ammo problems that other heavy GLs do... which makes them entirely unsuitable as add clear weapons. machine gun ammo is just so much better that you're just gonna use that for a non-boss contest mode encounter
Kinda mad no youtubers have bothered actually confirming if explosive light does 52% dmg for 1st mag. I think for bosses like garden having that crezy 1 mag dps he goes immune while standing up and then swapping to BnS could be super good fot the extra 22% dmg.
I’ve got a spike, envious, explosive light cataphract and I’ve been waiting for the numbers to see if it’s worthwhile to run that in GMs. Use it to toss a couple rounds at a stunned champ and hopefully kill? It’s something I could do on my own, but I’m not interested enough to go through the work of doing that testing myself lmao
In my experience using it for my first solo warlord's ruin run the difference in finder mods is actually pretty huge for ammo economy, although running more than one finder mod usually isn't viable outside of a solo run like that since you probably want a siphon mod as well. Just thought I'd throw that out there since while the ammo economy *does* kinda suck there are some edge cases where it sucks a lot less
thank god I kept a ALH B&S roll with augmented drum. now praying that we still get a trails weekend with cataphract as the adept so it's also free farming for the regular version from wins if you do happen to get a weapon drop for that envious B&S roll
yeah, I just looked through the pile of cope rolls I have since i've seen basically every permutations of the gun except a 6/5 envious+B&S with both spike and augmented... turns out I at least have this 6/5 roll.

Idk seems to me like they are pretty clear winners for total damage and team DPS now Obviously other than areas where you can BAKE a boss. But with something tankier they should be better.
Just a quick reminder, if you use Gals you now have a better DPS, better Total DMG and all 6 Player can use it, instead of one that normally have to use GHorn. BUT you have to Play Trials (PvP) to get a PvE Meta weapon and I will never play Trials
I would think of it like impact casing, a small boost in damage but if there is a reason to go with anything else I would go for that. Ex. I think augmented with the +1 mag size helps with the swap rotation and gets off grenades in less rotations so I think it's worth having that over spike (for the autoloading roll)
Damage was reshuffled and increased on heavy GLs, and the spikes themself were nerfed. In total, you're about 1% behind with spikes, but if the gun didn't have spikes its significantly stronger.
I'm confident envious BnS doesn't exist. I've focused and farmed trials every time cataphract comes around. Best I've gotten envious explosive light or auto loading BnS
Really happy this weapon is getting some love. Played trials last weekend it was in rotation didn’t see 1 envious bait until I gilded my flawless title, many hours of sweat and tears 😂 But it dropped next game, an adept Volatile launch, spike, envious, bait and switch with velocity masterwork. 😁 Quite impressed got nice total damage of 3million damage on prophecy last night 😎
I think the reserves are fine especially since only 6 can be out and only 2 stack on a single enemy. Will still stay bad for damage since it's dps was nerfed imo

Bipod rockets on high impacts rockets got soooo much ammo got 16 shots in one of mine

Personally, Koraxis does the job. I'm not bothering with Trials to get a marginal increase.

Imo a cope roll, envious is way better since you dont need to stop to reload lnor does ur dodge come back in 5 seconds, since you'd need 1+ dodges

Hullabaloo gets Golden Tricorn too, when proc'd thats 50% damage for 10 seconds, havent tested it but I reckon thats better than vorpal.

Heavy Wave Frames will never be a viable damage option. Only time it was useful was when you could shoot them into Rivens claws.

Vorpal on heavy weapons have a VERY low damage bonus
