toxic femininity is the belief that woman their is one type of woman which is weak, dependent, extremely submissive and obedient to men and society. to rather thinks what is good themselves and people around them , they only thinks about how benefit everyone around them mostly men.basically look at parts of the middle east
Rhonda Smith toxic masculinity and toxic family are not the same those are two different issues. They are literally on the opposite sides of the spectrum
Masculinity is not about rejecting and repressing emotions, it is about acknowledging them and dealing with them so that you still do what you need to do, for yourself and for the ones around you., instead of being paralyzed by them Masculinity is about taking action, not about blaming society and the world for your current state. What young boys need are good role models to look up to, men of character and goodwill, men that can be trusted, men that want to serve the ones around them because they care for their well-being. Men that teach young boys that if something is not working, you don't complain that the world is not fair, but you adjust your skills and you make it work. Men that teach young boys about resilience. Men that teach young boys about finding a purpose for one's skills in the service of others. Boys have to grow up into men, for themselves as well as for the ones around them, because the alternative is the loneliness and sad picture that is displayed in this clip. Sad, depressed, scared young men with no direction or purpose. If you are a young boy or a young man reading this, I wish you strength and willpower to see beyond the story that is being told and take action for yourself. You are the one responsible for how your life turns out. Build up your skills and figure out your inclinations and pursue to use those skills to serve the ones around you. Build along the way the resilience necessary to deal with the negativity that you will face and be a man with an open heart and bring up as many people as you can on your own journey. If you are a man reading this, remember that it is your duty to share your skills and knowledge with the younger men, just like someone else shared it with you in the past. Be the example for the younger generation, the example that you would look up to and live as if someone is always watching you in order to learn from you. Your actions or lack thereof will build up the next generation. All the best to you, reader!
@@amfvideos6810 Sometimes if you don't have any good role models in your family you might need to look somewhere else. Everyone involved in the production of this obviously doesn't understand how male relationships work or how important positive, masculine, male father figures are (Whether its a father, older sibling, male relative, coach, etc).
This is an interesting perspective. Now that I think about it, I believe every single person I know who believes in toxic masculinity has either a very troubled relationship with their dad or no father at all.
They literally interviewed males about their relationships with other males. Your comment doesn't make any sense. Additionally, this video didn't discredit male role models in anyway.

Bethany Monges Toxic masculinity Is BS. It's not real, it's a made up term from the far left to hate on men being males. It's used as a tactic to try and make any men who has assertive Tendencies and strength of will of self dignity and character to become beta males who are Meek and week in dignity and self-respect. Perfect example soy boys. These far-left males called soyboys has shown to actually emulate more feminine Tendencies and mentality than the average male as well they've actually been tested and to be shown to actually be less furtyle with smaller sperm count than the average male.

I'm in my late sixties. I'm from the generation that this video is talking about where men are supposed to be strong. Yet, I have friends, close friends, a couple that have been friends since my early teens. We know when we're hurt but we don't talk about it unless the hurt person wants to. We're just there for each other. We sit, watch a hockey game, have a beer, talk about work, make fun of each other and we know, deep down, that what we're doing is what we need. It cures the loneliness. I can't talk my problems away. I have to live them away. All I ask from my friends is for them to be there...nothing more. When I had tough times in my life, they were there, not talking about the tough times, but just there and I appreciate that they were there, more than they could know. I try to do the same for them. Sometimes it feels as if I'm failing but every once in awhile, they do the little things that let you know that they appreciate what you, too.

Masculinity in boys is good. Masculine boys and men can share emotions and be intelligent. There is a pushback in schools from the propaganda and forced gender neutral identities. Females and males can and should be allowed to love and embrace their gender. We do not HAVE to all be gender neutral for some pushed agenda.

Jackles lover Forevers you have know idea what masculinity is about. Being a man doesn't involved not having emotions. Just being able to control your emotions.
What else wrong with showing feelings? They're only want to share their story, their problem, how are their feeling when facing problem. @no no no the point of his message was the fact that by using the term toxic masculinity and the media and institutions constantly telling men they're the source of all the evils in the world and they're awful people and that the only way they can be good people again is by following their view of how men and women should be, it encourages them to stay away from people and become more emotionless because they feel like anything they say won't be taken seriously. For example whenever we see media portrayals of men they show the fathers to be weak and spineless and the mothers to be strong and doing everything else by themselves when they show men in television they are seen as evil monsters that just want to bully other people and the woman has to stand up for everyone. Sure it's been around, but technology, social media, remote jobs, economic divide, etc which make for an ever increasing division amongst socialization has definitely made it blow up.
This has nothing to do with women's loneliness. Please take your childish attention seeking some place else. The video is about boys. One would think you could understand that and focus on boys and what they deal with without interjecting women's needs into the conversation.
kromulous Who are you talking to? Me? You didn't hit a name in your reply. If it's me, then my reply to you is that I watched a video about loneliness, recognizing it's a huge issue for all of mankind and made a comment. I'm not negating boys. I can have an existential moment if I want to.😒
This here is completely wrong. Masculinity has been taught and learned since a young age from our father or another male figure for centuries. Loneliness is due to many parents over protecting their kids causing them to become insecure then isolating them or themselves. Another problem is someone calling it Toxic Masculinity. Masculinity isn't toxic it's necessary, I bet this video was creating by a woman or some insecure male. I'm not meaning to sound harsh but political correctness isn't always correct and another thing is them boys in video have never had to be tough. Otherwise they would be. By tough I don't mean been a bully but I do mean having to earn there way the old fashion way.
Wrednax no one said that men have to be over emotional, the video talks about how men are being oppressed and told at such a young age that their feelings shouldn’t be talked about or even acknowledge. Things like that makes a men aggressive and bad at explaining what the feel.
@@hopefulromantic. i think masculinity means to only show your emotions when it is most needed to be shown or needed to be expressed which is good in a way.
And this is the reason why I ain’t having kids. Not cause i know i’ll end up with child support but because I know the devastating effects of a single woman raising them. The whole American dream of having a wife, kids with a white picket fence is dead. And instead I just want to run my 3 businesses and enjoy retirement single rather than live life miserably.
Doesn't matter if they have dad. The biggest component to a healthy emotionally secure child is the primary caregiver. A primary caregiver that doesn't have a man around is not sign of the importance of men, but shows what skills the primary caregiver has. If she cannot maintain health adult relationships, she shouldn't be having kids.
The most interesting part of this video is that the timeframe of this "epidemic" where men are becoming more alienated, more lonely, more cut off from others. Perfectly coincides with sensitivity training in schools that aimed to do the exact opposite. Perhaps we should look at how in trying to create the more sensitive boy/man we instead have alienated them? Just saying.
this is not the cause. people have been feeling more and more alienated lonely and cut off in recent times due to technological advances that have changed our lives drastically in a extremely short period of time.
Jenny G Umm... feminism destroyed all that all in the name of "empowering" women. Meaning, women have to look after their kids AND work jobs. Can't look after your kid because of your full time job? Dump the child with a nanny... and spend your wages on that!
because you cant always get what you want, grown ups taught us this almost immediately if they raise you correctly. if your thinking leaves too blind to understand nuances of the very real human beings who are new to socializing to a public at large and just not acting as if they experts at it their whole way there. Anyone thinking they're "manly" by raging out at a sensitive thing with ridicule is actually the weakest one with so much overcompensating from something a stoic man of principal even frozen in the past would consider, geeze if its this way already, I better watch my behaviors because NOT EVERYONE only knows what I know, and theres new points of view to consider if I am to make it as a welcomed person here.
Devendra Sharma Not at all, I'm agreeing with you by pointing out the double standards they (feminists) would likely apply in a situation where men were explaining being a woman to girls.
Being masculine is not toxic masculinity. It’s about not being able to be emotional with your peers. It’s about conforming around stereotypes of hyper masculinity and regarding anything outside of macho vibes as less than being a man. I hope that you don’t confuse the two because nobody should think people are thinking they are exuding toxic masculine simply because they are masculine. If someone is doing that, then they don’t know what toxic masculinity means.
There's a big difference between masculinity, and toxic masculinity, and it's clear that a lot of people don't look into the real issue simply because of the term itself. Toxic masculinity focuses on the more societal expectations of men that can be quite harmful to a boy growing up. Expectations like showing no emotions, homophobia, or even fighting and bullying. These are not things that should be expected of men growing up. There's nothing wrong with being a man, just understand what defines a man is not putting on a show of toughness. What defines a man is experience, courage, responsibility, love, and pride in oneself. As long as you have those, there's no need to hide emotions, or ever worry about being tough; you're already a man no matter how you present yourself. If being tough is still a big concern to you, then trust me, if you can make it through life with a good head on your shoulder, a list of accomplishments, and while being true to yourself, you'll certainly feel like a badass by the end of it all, and you'll have the respect from those that matter.
Well terms like toxic masculinity surely doesn’t do any favours as that would make boys feel worst about themselves. The reason why boys feel isolated is due to a total lack of empathy for their feelings and wellbeing.
One big reason why boys are feeling like that is the lack of men role models teaching young boys not to give to much attention to labeling. If you are a man that is aware of these issues, share your message and teach other men and boys on how to embrace their masculinity. It is your duty as well as mine, because only talking and finding blame will not change the situation at all. Men are made for action. Be a man of action and see how your environment changes. Keep other men accountable for their actions and have the humility to be held accountable as well and see the results. Take pride in becoming a man of good character and other will do the same. All the best to you!
Fathers are the ones to blame for this never-ending predicament. They instil toxic masculinity in their boys from an early age, resulting in scenarios like the one depicted in this video. It is ideal if a woman just summarizes the scenario because males have done nothing to address this issue for generations, resulting in higher male suicide rates. We can clearly see that many men are miserable, therefore, why are you still so willfully blind? This is attributable to the fact that your toxic masculinity plays a significant role in this, leading you to keep everything to yourself. Remember that asking for help is completely normal and human.
@@ZARA-ws7tu Well boys who exhibit "toxic masculinity" are from single mothers homes so there is father around to be blamed. If fathers aren't around and is because feminism has removed fathers from the homes by creating a family unit comprised of only women and children while the government plays the role of "daddy." Many men are miserable and end up killing themselves is because of male disposability, which is due to being demonised and dehumanised for their masculinity as well as their own worth as a man if they fail or unable to meet the gynocentric feminist standards. Men don't open their emotions or seek is because no one cares and there's a lack of support, it's futile. Well there are MRAs (both men and women) that raises awareness of men's issues but as usual they are silenced by feminists as well as the media by claiming it's "misogynistic."
Really? But masculinity is toxic. The concept. The idea that boys and men need to be a certain way because they are boys and men is what’s causing yhe issue. So long as men strive to be “masculine” they are less feeling, less intimate, and more isolated. If we could dismantle or redefine what it means to be masculine that would be helpful. Boys need to know that they don’t need to perform masculinity they can be themselves and that’s manly enough
@@yveje9720 that is bull as masculinity is not toxic but society’s attitudes towards it is and masculinity is only “toxic” if it doesn’t meet feminist standards. You just want masculinity to be redefined by feminist standards so it’s really about men correcting their behaviours to benefit women. Men and boys are only isolated due to a lack of empathy for mens feelings and struggles as whenever they open up about their emotions and grievances, they are silenced as well as ridiculed, gaslight and receive anger.
This is one of many videos that I've watched since I decided to learn why "Toxic Masculinity" is so widely believed and because I'm a masochist. Today I watched a "conversation" between two feminist where one of the participants said she is disgusted by the site of pictures on social media of a group of shirtless "mates" (it was an Australian video) hugging because it wreaks of "lad culture" and lad culture is toxic. Now this video is stressing that boys are becoming depressed in part because of the lack of touch. I guess you're dammed if you do and you're dead if you don't.
I am glad you said that because I am also here because I wanted to learn more about Toxic masculinity and there is a very confusing, unclear and incoherent noise surrounding the idea of toxic masculinity.

What about toxic femininity though?
Good question, actually.
This was a joke
utUBEr00001 yup
toxic femininity is the belief that woman their is one type of woman which is weak, dependent, extremely submissive and obedient to men and society. to rather thinks what is good themselves and people around them , they only thinks about how benefit everyone around them mostly men.basically look at parts of the middle east
Rhonda Smith toxic masculinity and toxic family are not the same those are two different issues. They are literally on the opposite sides of the spectrum
Masculinity is not about rejecting and repressing emotions, it is about acknowledging them and dealing with them so that you still do what you need to do, for yourself and for the ones around you., instead of being paralyzed by them
Masculinity is about taking action, not about blaming society and the world for your current state.

It's not easy because you have to look inwards and you have to honest with yourself, as much as you should look outwards, but it's worth it. You can't make a decisions in life, that will have any value, if you haven't sought out ALL the information available to you. Be true to yourself and to others and you'll have given yourself the best opportunity to have a meaningful life. Life can be pretty tough and there's no magic bullet to prevent the bad things from happening. All you can do is arm yourself with a desire for honesty and that will help you through the bad times because they will come.

Oh and calling men the source of everything bad may make them want to avoid others. Stop ostracizing them and they will not be alone. Just a thought.
When you portray men in a manner that is akin to a villain how do you expect him to ever feel great about himself or to actually strive to be that true masculine person you say you want boys to be.

I hope that you don’t confuse the two because nobody should think people are thinking they are exuding toxic masculine simply because they are masculine. If someone is doing that, then they don’t know what toxic masculinity means.
@@Goldun-nah anything outside of macho vibes is less than being a man. Period.
Super Wooper so if it’s society’s fault why is it called toxic masculinity?

I don't know why this clip is so misunderstood. The clip doesn't say that masculinity is bad at all ! They call toxic masculinity the one that is "Never show emotions, be a rock !" In fact the true masculinity is the one that you are a true man and it's not a problem for you to share what you feel with your friends and family. Nobody is attacking the manhood in this clip.

Masculinity isn’t toxic. The absence of it is. A weak man is abusive and spiteful, a strong man is protective and loving.-Jordan Peterson
Men don’t need to be told how to be men by women. The reason why so many men are lonely is because in our modern culture we are told our masculinity is toxic and our lifestyles are violent and wrong. Men have emotions and express those emotions, it’s just that our way of expressing that love to our brothers is different than women and often seen as “violent” and “wrong”. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be competitive and wanting to be masculine. Let boys be boys.
