Teenagers could play it, their is lots of reading and the mechanics are slightly complex for the younger kids. I would say 12 and up could play it. But all depends on your kids and how easily they grasp technical board games. The story itself is fine but their is monsters etc which is another reason I wouldn't play with the younger kids.
