Nice car! That squeaking sound, put strips of 3M anti-squak tape (5430) in the lower section of the door panel, where the panel meets the door sill trim. Deadly quiet again.

Thank you for taking me down memory lane! I had the same car but with grey leather interior. Look at those beautiful instruments - so classy compared to new Mercedes instruments. So beautifully clear and complete. The zebrano wood on this car looks like it did when it came off the factory floor. The leather interior is pristine too. I can also hear/see the kickdown is immediate and without delay. My favorite S-Class ever. Fabulous!!
