So glad you really GET Sleep Token. I think that yeah, they blew up from TicTok, but only when, in my opinion, they were READY to go mainstream. How else could you describe TMBTE other than an end to a discography that was mainly "underground" ( just smaller fan base). They let their music advertise for them. So when TMBTE was released, people loved it and it literally went viral. Hell, that's why eo many people are just now finding them. I was the same. I didn't hear of them until this year, but i have binged EVERYTHING they've done and play it on repeat DAILY, lol. I could probably be arrested for cyber stalking all their concert footage 😂😂 I was just so bummed I couldn't see them live so i stalk TH-cam lol. When you're finished with this journey you'll LOVE watching them live. They're phenomenal!! I imagine its X 10 actually BEING THERE! Looking forward to more reactions. I think sometimes with Sleep Token besides the music being enjoyable, it's also how it makes you feel. Yeah, it's manipulative and structured very carefully to evoke these reactions and journeys but sometimes you need that. Other times it's just blowing down the highway with the windows down beating your hands against the steering wheel. They give you a lot to work with and I like that.
I've really gotten into watching reaction videos to songs on TH-cam in the past year (because of all the reaction vids that popped up on Tok with ST The Summoning release). One: to discover new music and artists i may not have tried before. Two: to get another perspective off the songs I have heard and like. I've found | see some songs in a slightly different way after hearing others talk about what they got from the lyrics and how the music affected them.
This is one of my favorites off this Album! Also Take Aim makes me emotional. Actually a good chunk of songs from this album are emotional. So be prepared 🙏🏻
If you happen to like Lorna Shore at all ( I am not sure how deep your metal pockets are, but they are a deathcore band) their vocalist has been covering Sleep Token and he did a wonderful job with this song.
Wait Will Ramos did a cover of this? Or CJ or the other one? I'll have to find that. I've seen Will with Chokehold and Hypnosis and his clean voice blew me away.

This song gets me with that deeper bass tone and Vessel's voice at the beginning speaks to that dark place in my soul.
