Something I don't think anyone has mentioned - the "I'm not here to fit in this world" sections borrow a lot musically from Pink Floyd's The Wall. "We don't need no education" etc. Queen is one of Daisuke's favorite bands. The protagonist of the series is named Sol Badguy, aka Mister Bad Guy.

The video they were playing on the screen in the background shows a bird flying through a city that looks like it was destroyed by bombs. Su is from Hiroshima, which makes it hit harder!

I think that most people find with Devin, is that you have to find "that song", where it hits just right. And, it allows you to explore his catalogue, and understand his brilliance, even if he doesn't acknowledge that he has that talent. I find that he is willing to provide his music whether or not anyone else is willing to receive it. But, then, you discover an album like, "Deconstruction", 10 years after it was released and it is one of the best albums you've ever heard.

If you want a live song I would recommend Monstrance Clock live from Hellfest 2016. And get ready for the surprise at the end 😉

Man i think you would love the poet and the pendulum, the composition is amazing with some heavy and some very angelic parts. I feel more in the vein of ghost love score but heavier

It's maby the order of the albums you have to listen to,if you want to grasp a bit the meaning of this all.GLS is already a old song (put in a new"coat" by Floor in 2013) . The last 2 albums (and now nmbr3) with Floor are mostly about evolution,religion and childhood innocense,in that sence it's really a wonderfull contunuation of the last 2 albums.😉🤘

I would like to check other bands old and new, because until Ive been listening to TW I have noticed that from Dany she can riff different lines not in compass with the melody she sings.. I mean, it is like those solo artists that records the parts in those machines and then loop them so they can add more elements, like if she records her guitar riff and then forgets about it to concentrate in her singing..in this case her hands plays automatically while she sings other melody.. you know what Im trying to say?.. So, I would like to find other artists who can do that while singing. Many people say she doesn't shred or do enough solos, but what she does sometimes can be more difficult than playing very fast or accurate.

I enjoyed the video very much. This particular song is one of their earliest compositions which I think shows they figured out early that simple is usually better, or certainly more accessible. What I have mostly noticed about Dany's playing is how much feeling she puts into it. Most of her solos are very tasteful and soulful. Could she shred? Probably, but that's not her style, it's not the band's style. I look forward to your next breakdown, maybe from a recent song to see if there has been much change.

For me, what's most impressive about Dany's guitar playing is that she sings simultaneously. Sometimes she's doing riffs which are completely different from the melody she's singing. That's difficult to do and most people would need a second brain to accomplish the feat. I'm referring to some of her other songs of course.
