- This is my 2022 rdx aspec advance. Online dealer diagrams say this is not compatible with 2022 but it clearly works. Its the same car, they just haven’t updated their part numbers on their end.

Could you post a video or at least a comment about the front badge? I would have thought the carbon vinyl would have interfered with the forward sensor for lkas/acc. Your mods look great.
I have a white advanced A-Spec. And I wanted to add a spare, your video was very helpful. I did add the plastic liner in the hatch area for my dog. I love it. I too wanted to darken or paint the exhaust tips. I didn’t realize it was such an ordeal. Thanks for the video!
Also did you get the 19” or 20” kit? Your aspec should have come stock with 20” wheels
What size tire did you put on your spare rim? Approx. cost for tire. Your video was great.
Thank you for the video. You mentioned the baggy for the flat tire. By chance did you try cinching up a full size tire underneath? Or would the full size tire be too thick?
I wish! Lol theres not anywhere near enough room. Donut fits in there perfectly snug.

I dont have a link for the visors but the brand is called WELL VISORS. They can usually be found on amazon and ebay. Sometimes they come and go in batches. But you can probably find the Well visors website as well. They offer them in chrome and black chrome trim for both base and aspec models. They are real nice for sure! Just make sure you put em on straight the first time LOL they are reeeaallyy sticky!
Quick question what size spare tire did you get ?

is the tire height of the spare the same height as the factory tire? obviously these get used in emergency situations for short amounts of time, but ive always hated the idea of different height tires and how theyre not the best on differentials being that one side is spinning faster than the other lol good video btw

@@HodgeHub Hey Hodge. I ended up getting the rubber from discount tire. The brand is Kumho and it was the only choice available. The tire has not been affected by the proximity or heat of the muffler in the last 3 months.

Nice video. I have a 2023 RDX A-Spec Advanced. No spare, just the inflator kit. I also added a trailer tow package on the car. Will this spare tire assembly fit my 2023 A-Spec, and does it also come with a 20” wheel and a 20” donut spare tire? I keep hearing the 20” spares won’t have clearance under the A-Spec. Alternatively, would a 19” spare fit underneath, and would a 19” spare be safe enough to get me to a repair facility?
Hi, when you hoist your spare tire back up how tight do you wind it up? The instructions said to tighten till it clicks. Did it click for you? Thanks again for your video, it really helped me to install it my own too.
To be honest, i dont remember, but i really dont think mine clicked. I tightened til i had to make an executive decision that it was enough. I got under the car and grabbed the wheel with both hands and tried very hard to wiggle it around. Once i couldnt wiggle it, i assumed it was tight. It has been just fine since. I recently did a full exhaust install. (Other videos) and while under there, i checked on the spare. It was still nice and snug.
@@beavnyc Thanks for the response. I will check mine again. I ended up with a 165/90D17 spare tire size since my Aspec Adv has 20" wheels. DT shop told me that it would be closer in size with the 20" wheel vs. using the 155/90D17 from Acura Kenda spare. I didn't want to risk ruining my awd system. I wonder if the Acura engineers had thought about the spare tire size for the 20" wheels.
Anyone know if this will fit a 2024 A Spec Advanced? All the OEM parts sites don't show this kit for a 2024.
1/2” 12 point socket to raise, slow speed with power tool. AND why didn’t Honda mount spare with valve stem down??? Spare tire pressure NEEDS check no more than every 12 months 🤦♂️🤷♂️
Ordered my kit,got the tire mounted.And I can not move those screws from.the clips,they are really tight
I have one and it so dumb the way Acura has the spare tire installed so the air pressure can’t be checked easily.
Do you know if a tow hitch will fit with the wheel installed?

I’m confused. I thought all RDXs have a spare tire. How come you had to buy this kit?
Because they do not all come with spares lol. I believe aspec models with tge 20” wheels do not have spares. Maybe other models too… not sure

Maybe I’m jumping ahead, but can you confirm if you used a full size tire/rim for the spare, or a “donut” smaller tire/rim?
Its a donut. Oem spare tire kit. Cones with a 17” donut. Full size wont fit in the space below. Probably not even close.

I made precut vinyl pieces from smoked vinyl and applied myself. They sell them on ebay. Cant speak for their quality because i made my own.
