- Grand Rapids was blanked in Milwaukee in game 5 after dominating most of the game. Groesnick and special teams made the difference. It's a shame too, because it comes after a magical comeback in Van Adel where Berggren and the Griffins combined for 4 goals in 4 minutes to win. But there are some hugely positive takeaways from those games. #lgrw

Watching Berggren the last few weeks - and I never thought I would be saying this as I was all for trying to move him with Holl's contract if possible but given his play which lacks D - I think he has made a case to try him where you would have slotted Kane, very similar on the D side and physical game (Berggren is actually a tad more physical) - worst case is if he does not perform there is you move him down some lines or move him during the season.
Simon and Simek being out hurt the PP. Also inserting Danielson into the lineup screwed up the chemistry. Fun stuff though. Cossa has flashes, but if he debuts next year then that means RW missing the playoffs again imo. Not because of him but I think they’ll give him a look if they’re out.
Danielson didn't cause those losses. Lets not forget Ed was only out for those 2 games as well. Was out for every loss.
Didn’t cause the losses no but bad time to throw him in. Coach even said he wanted to go back to the guys that got them there and it showed in their play
Wings starting lineup in the fall:
Kaspar will be on the 2nd line wing
Mazur will be on 3rd
Berggren will be on 4th and PP2
Edvinsson will be on 2nd pair
Johansson will have looks at 3rd pair
I think replacing Fischer with Berggren is the way to go.

I think this is a big mistake. Skill sets are completely different. Fisch’s defensive contributions are not to be overlooked and that’s a huge deficiency in Burger’s game. Mazur could easily replace Fisch with more offensive upside. If Burger has a place with the Wings it will be replacing Sprong, which is also a change that I’d make
