Greece is great. Yes it is a beautiful country. But if you have to earn Greek salary it becomes a difficult place to live. I am Greek living in Melbourne, Australia. Living in Greece and earning non Greek salary, yes it is a paradise. Enjoy!

Nope... If you live in a small city and you have a job, life is paradise. If you live in the big city, where life and food is more expensive, even a medium paid job is enough. Most Greeks don't need loads of money to have a great life. The proof? Most of us don't have that kind of money and still enjoy their lives and don't even consider leaving the country.
Even better? If your parents are the old fashioned type that considers their duty to buy you a house, even a modest apartment for starting your adult life, you live greatly even with your modest salary. Part of the Greek family culture that keeps family bonds is the "American aid packages" 😊 with food and products from the village that relatives send regularly to the "poor guys" that live in the big city.
Most Greeks will tell you that what they really need is to have friends and time to spare with them, regardless of their financial woes....
I wouldn't change my life in Greece for the best paid job elsewhere... And I assure you that I am not rich!

@@fafasedareloaded1558 I am happy to hear that you love your life in Greece. The last few years we have many Greek people coming to Australia to look for a job because salary in Greece is very low. They didn’t live in big cities. In fact they lived in smaller places….one Greek person told me he rather has 2 pair of shoes than one living in Greece. They all want to return back to Greece but not earning a Greek salary. I don’t think all people are satisfied with a small salary….i really like your videos . Enjoy!

There is another guy that lives in Nafplio and he is married to a Greek lady…he is from Venezuela….he agrees with earning American dollars is much more comfy than earning a Greek salary….

@@jasminesky4063 videos are not mine. i have a good salary in Greece, not top, as i would like 😀but good. I live in Piraeus, i own my apartment that is quite old but after a lot of work is in very good condition, has everything required, even a balcony where i have my flowers and some veggies. good part, no rent expenses, but i do have some expenses for maintenance. overall, my life is good, i have all i need, and when stressed i have our wonderful sea to walk and forget all problems.
life is good. no need for a lot of money. i am healthy, i have my friends, my home, my job, i live in a nice place, i don't need anything else.

How so? Greek authorities, especially in smaller towns, are very lax. You assume that something might happen after 90 days, but chances are noone is going to notice that you are still in the country, nor care, as long as you are not causing any trouble.

There are other choices, invest in buying a house or getting a Greek wife if single! 😊
Right now you can get a 5 years residency with buying a house for 250, 000 euros, yes i know it's big amount but it's an investment.

Greece is the perfect country in the world if you are a foreigner or a rich Greek. The majority of the Greeks suffer because of very high taxes and rampant property crime...

As a Greek, not a single thing from what you said, is true anymore. Greece' s culture has been destroyed by various reasons, food is becoming less and less healthy, people are mean and rude, the climate is becoming tropical and aggresive, the enviroment is getting ruined by wildfires and pollution.
I am sorry but the truth is way more important than tourism.

    • @thindarella

Wildfires have been happening in Greece since decades, pollution is mostly bad in cities like Athens and Thessaloniki. The food is still amazing - lets not forget that food is a personal choice. If you are a greek living in Greece you should know all these farmers markets which sells fruits & vegetables, fresh fish etc. Never had a greek being rude to me (And I am half greek myself). It also depends how you talk with others, if you are unfriendly you shouldnt be surprised of the other person is too. You are greek, be more positive about your own country, appreciate the beauty of it instead of talking it down.

    • @captainjim1010

@@thindarella That was a lot of bull from someone who doesn't even live here. Kinda rude too to speculate i am not friendly since you don't even know me. What did you think, i get our of my house and start talking bad to people?
I live in Athens for decades and i am travelling the country every year, been almost everywhere, when i say people are becoming monsters i mean it and i wouldn't explain it to you cause you don't seem capable of understanding.
Wildfires have DEVASTATED the land, over the last 15 years more than 65% of our forests is gone, forests that need 60 years to heal.
Polution is almost everywhere now, many beaches i have visited in the 90s now are filthy sometimes even in the most remote islands (wear a mask and witness the bottom in kleftiko in Milos, visit Balos in Crete and check if you can stand the stench, go for a ride around Kalymnos and see the garbage everywhere etc etc, not to mention thousands of fish plants all over the country)
So PLEASE shut your pile if you don't know whats going on and come here for a few days per year to visit. Acting like your are defending the country somehow, you have no idea. You wouldn't notice much as a tourist anyway.
