Jake is right about the handycam’s being worthless once you’ve bought them. I Started filming hunting and fishing on a handy cam and it just never gave me what I wanted quality wise. Have upgraded to mirrorless and have a cache of video I need to edit that I am really excited to put out as it’s much more pleasing to the eye.

The first year I filmed my hunts, I used a GoPro 9 and my phone. Then I upgraded to a CX405 Camcorder that I got used from eBay for $100. Coupled with my two GoPro cameras and a DIY camera arm, I get decent footage. Now I’m looking to upgrade my main camera to 4k with a bigger sensor for low light situations. This video definitely gave me some ideas. Thanks!

I have a Sony RX10 which is small but kinda heavy. But everything else I take with me is very light in my mobile system setup. I don't use sticks or stands & my recurve is much lighter than the compounds I used to have. It has a very nice zoom & is great in low-light. But it's pushing the weight limit on my OOAL Reach camera arm. But double strapping the arm helps & I have never used that cam-buckle strap that comes with the Reach. 😅

I noticed you didn’t mention the Sony zv-e10. Is it because it doesn’t have the 1’’ sensor like the zv1? Would u still recommend the zv1 over the zv-e10? I’m having a hard time deciding which to get lol.
