The students in eastern Tennessee went back Jan 2nd or 8th, depending on school district, standard school year. Are you at a year round that maybe gets longer breaks?

Keep in mind that our seasons are opposite. So, it's normal here in the states for kids to start back in August, and having the school year end late May/early June.
