I got my first period on Christmas Day at my grandma’s house and I was frantically searching for pads in my bag to avoid telling my grandma but eventually I texted her to come upstairs and she literally said “I have no idea what to do” and just drove me to Walgreens. I guess I forgot when you get older you don’t have a period.

I got my period when i was 10. Not to dramatic (thankfully). 😅 I was at home getting ready for school when I went to pee and saw blood. I immediately knew what happened and informed my mom. 😊 She was super supportive and tought me everything i needed to know. ❤❤❤ Luv u mom 😘
This is for little girls: menstruation or period is completely normal. All women have it. Don't be ashamed or afraid! Ask an adult woman how to put on a pad or any questions you have. And remember to go to the doctor ♡

I got my first period on January 3, 2024. I was home with my sister and she helped me with everything. She congratulated me on becoming a woman which was nice
I got mine when I was 13 at a campsite bathroom and a woman heard me crying in a bathroom stall and ran to the camp store to buy me some pads. I never saw the woman bc I stayed in the bathroom for a good 30 minutes crying but I'm still so thankful that she spent probably 5$ for a pack of pads for some random girl she doesn't know in the bathroom of a campsite.
@@AurbreeBoudreaux I’m also 13. I’m basically how tall I’m gonna be for the rest of my life and haven’t gotten it. It’s so normal! I also have other requirements of “about to get a first period” (iykyk) but haven’t gotten it. So many girls get theirs at 17 or even 19. There’s a plan for us. ❤

I actually got my period when I was around 9 and I didn't know anything. Now, I like to help my friends with their situations. I just discovered this video and I think that our school may turn it on for health class. Honestly, having parents like the dad is rare but that much more amazing.
i got my first period at 11 years old. it was an hour before a christmas dance at my middle school. i remember sitting on the toilet and texting my friends about how excited i was, then standing up and seeing blood in the toilet. my father was the only one home, since my mother was going grocery shopping. i remember yelling "daaaaad. i think i got my periooood." then he walked in and straight up said "yup. smells like period blood in here." then called my mom to get me pads and menstrual pills. i'm really glad that my parents told me about the signs that i might start my period a year beforehand, and now i don't feel awkward about it :3

I got mine this year. (2024) Backstory FIRST!: Throughout my whole time of being 13, i was always fretting about getting my period. Sometimes, i would continuously check my underwear because i was so scared for it to happen. Fast forward: before my birthday, i happened to use the restroom after dancing with my lil sister. Mind you, i was turning 14. Anyway, i looked in my underwear randomly and saw spots of blood. I was really confused until i also looked in the toilet and saw drops of blood. I quietly freaked out and was inernally screaming. I almost cried because i wasnt ready for my period. So i quickly opened the bottom cabinet in the restroom and thank god my family keeps pads and sruff under there. I quickly snatched a mini pad and put it in my underwear. I wiped and flushed(washed hands) and left the bathroom like it was nothing. After a couple minutes, i told my mom i saw spots of blood in my underwear. She also told my grandma, older sis and i told my younger sis. I didnt mind it though because they are girls but i was really embarrassed to say anything. When my mom told my older sister, she literally smiled and hugged me.(ill tell you why later). So anyway, i was told vy my mom to tell herif anything else happens. So that night, i was relieved to find nothing more had happened. A couple days later after my birthday, my dad and brother were leaving to go fishing. Suddenly my lower stomach started cramping. I panicked because thats exactly how it felt a couple days before when i kinda bled. Me, my siblingz, mom, dad, and brother were in my parents room. I was in pain but didn't show it because i can tolerate it. But i was literally annoyed because my dad and brother werent leaving yet. When theh finally did, i told my mom about my cramps. She told me to quickly use the restroom. When i did, i screamed. She knocked and asked what happened and i said im bleeding. She told me not to panic and that i started my period. I started panicking, telling her i cant start, im too young. I wiped and my mom came in to look, as well as my grandma, just to make sure. She said "yep, you started!" I literally almost passed out. ANOTHER BACKSTORY: My older sister(17) started her period when she was 13 (i was 10-11). I woke up one day and started gettng confused because my sister was holding a pad and my mom was talking to her. My sis went to the restroom, and my mom came to my room. I asked what happened and she told me that my sis started her period. I said ohh like it was nothing but i was really jealous. I was really really really desperate to get my period when i was 10-11 because i wanted to be cool and get 'special treatment' (let me sum it up. In my eyes, that special treatment was that if i got my period i would be cool, have to carry around a period bag, and able to do other stuff.) So anyway, i got highly jealous of my sister for the longest time. (BACK TO THE TIME I FIRST GOT MY PERIOD!!) So unlike other girls (i THINK), mine lasted for 7 days without skipping a day, ALL HEAVY FLOW!!. like..ya girl fr wiped so many times..anyway. i heard when you first start its only supposed to last 3 days before advancing to seven but not mine. So thats what also made me freak out lol.(end of story.) ★Spoiler: I started my period today and i am currently going good.★ Don't be afraid of your period, it happens to all woman/females. ✨My first period✨ I got my period during the summer before 5th grade. Me and my family were on a 2 day road trip. We were just heading to my aunts house for a couple hours. My cousin is a year younger than me so she didn't have her period and didn't really know anything about them. I went to the bathroom and absolutely freaked out. Personally I thought I was dying. I cried and screamed for my mom. She ran in and comforted me. She went to the store got me new underwear and some pads. I remember thinking that night "This sucks. Now I gotta deal with this every month?" Now I get the worse cramps, but its not scary anymore just hurts like hell! :D
Just remeber kids. Being on your period in school SUCKS. It’s so scary. Like, I have a *really* heavy flow, and I got my period again last Sunday (right before school started) I was scared that I had bled through my shorts and I DID. But it wasn’t where anyone could see. I’m gonna start double padding 😭 As soon as you start to have a lot of discharge, mood swings, pubic hair, and sometimes acne, that’s a sign that your period is coming soon.

I got my first period 3-4 months ago, so here’s the story, I was at school and noticed that my underwear felt weird, but i didn’t care, so after school I needed to use the washroom, and I saw with my own eyes but I thought I pooped myself, I went to change it but then my mom came and saw my underwear I left in the bathroom, she saw and told me I got it because it was on front, I’m currently on it again, and I can relate to this! I got mine 2 years ago, and i was just sleeping late in the morning because it was the weekend, and then in the morning i checked the bed, and it was blood everywhere, and my Pj pants were also full with blood, and i rushed to the bathroom in the house, and when my mother came i was telling her what was going on, and she said i had gotten my period, and then i asked her what it was, and she said, its something girls/women gets each month.
For every girl who‘s worried about not having their period yet. I got mine with 14 and some people have them earlier or later. It’s normal and you don’t have to worry about it. I must say I don’t really use tampons often. I wear pads mostly but if you want to use tampons be careful and relax while you put it in. If you put it in and then it still hurts you need to put it more way up till it’s not hurting anymore. You can change it 2-5 hours depending on how much you’re bleeding. Love y’all❤️😙

I got mine at 12. No biggie. Mom had told me all about it, I was prepared. Told my Mom when she got home from work. No biggie. Then, after dinner, Mom and I were playing jacks on the kitchen floor. Don’t worry you’ll get used to it. Some tips- eat more foods high in iron, vitamin d, calcium and omega 3 when you have it, get a heating pad, get period pants, ask your mum or dad to get you pain killers or try period pain relief patches if the pain is still bad and go to your gp if it is cause bad pain isn’t normal. Try to eat more nutritious food on your period, bananas, nuts, dark chocolate and chamomile tea can be beneficial, avoid fried food and food high in saturated fat, salt, refined sugar and refined carbohydrates. Track your period (it might take a few months to become regular but when it is this could be useful) and don’t be embarrassed or worried about having accidents or anyone knowing you have it.
Before I started my period me and my mum spoke about these things a lot . This made the whole experience less scary and she talked me step by step on what to do . She told me good tips that help like chocolate and cranberry juice(helps for cramps) and she bought me everything I’ll need . I honestly think it should be more normalized for mothers to talk about these things as it helped me a lot .

I got my first period during the first of July 2023 when I was 11. I woke up that morning and went to use the bathroom when I wiped there was blood on it. I was not scared or confused but I wasn’t sure if I Acually had it or not. So I called my mom who was away on a trip and I told her about it she told me that if I actually did I was not allowed to go to the pool that day unless I had a tampon which I was to young to Use. So my mom texted my step mom to give me some pointers and tips also and physically show me how to use a pad. She told me about cramps bloating and sweet cravings. She told me that this was a new step to women hood and how I’d soon enough hit puberty because I was a pre teen. But yeah I’m 12 now and I know there’s nothing to feel embarrassed about it’s a natural thing all girls can relate, speaking of which me and my friends have girl talks on that specific topic and it’s nice having someone besides parents to talk to it about cause there more close to age. good luck girls out there who have got it and if you haven’t don’t feel scared but also don’t wish for it to come it’s annoying and painful enjoy your childhood you’ll appreciate not having it trust me :)))

I got my period right before a WATERsports camp. I had to go to the bathroom and I was like but they have bathrooms at camp so I can wait and my mom said no go now and I went a got it 😅. I was 11 almost 12 and hadn’t rlly thought abt it a while. I was scared and screamed for my mom. I didn’t go to camp that day and my mom took me to target and talked abt it with me. The thing that sucked is that she made me go to the WATER sports camp the next day and I had to figure out how to work a Tampon the FIRST day I freaking got it 😂. My period sucks tho, SUPER heavy and terrible cramps. The best thing to remember is your NOT alone, which sounds cheesy but its true.

I had my first period in fourth grade. I was just doing math work and then all the sudden i feel something mushy and squishy so i go ask my teacher if i can use the bathroom. I went to the bathroom stall and checked what was mushy and squishy. Then i screamed on top of my lunges and started to cry. I spent almost the rest of the math block in the bathroom stall and my teacher went to the bathroom 10 minutes after i screamed. My teacher asked what happened and i was afraid to tell her so i told her when i came back to the classroom. That day was the most scariest day ever for me. I will never forget that happened. 😭😣😨😦

I actually got my period when I was around 9 and I didn't know anything. Now, I like to help my friends with their situations. I just discovered this video and I think that our school may turn it on for health class. Honestly, having parents like the dad is rare but that much more amazing.
i got my first period at 11 years old. it was an hour before a christmas dance at my middle school. i remember sitting on the toilet and texting my friends about how excited i was, then standing up and seeing blood in the toilet. my father was the only one home, since my mother was going grocery shopping. i remember yelling "daaaaad. i think i got my periooood." then he walked in and straight up said "yup. smells like period blood in here." then called my mom to get me pads and menstrual pills.
i'm really glad that my parents told me about the signs that i might start my period a year beforehand, and now i don't feel awkward about it :3

Backstory FIRST!:
Throughout my whole time of being 13, i was always fretting about getting my period. Sometimes, i would continuously check my underwear because i was so scared for it to happen. Fast forward: before my birthday, i happened to use the restroom after dancing with my lil sister. Mind you, i was turning 14. Anyway, i looked in my underwear randomly and saw spots of blood. I was really confused until i also looked in the toilet and saw drops of blood. I quietly freaked out and was inernally screaming. I almost cried because i wasnt ready for my period. So i quickly opened the bottom cabinet in the restroom and thank god my family keeps pads and sruff under there. I quickly snatched a mini pad and put it in my underwear. I wiped and flushed(washed hands) and left the bathroom like it was nothing. After a couple minutes, i told my mom i saw spots of blood in my underwear. She also told my grandma, older sis and i told my younger sis. I didnt mind it though because they are girls but i was really embarrassed to say anything. When my mom told my older sister, she literally smiled and hugged me.(ill tell you why later). So anyway, i was told vy my mom to tell herif anything else happens. So that night, i was relieved to find nothing more had happened. A couple days later after my birthday, my dad and brother were leaving to go fishing. Suddenly my lower stomach started cramping. I panicked because thats exactly how it felt a couple days before when i kinda bled. Me, my siblingz, mom, dad, and brother were in my parents room. I was in pain but didn't show it because i can tolerate it. But i was literally annoyed because my dad and brother werent leaving yet. When theh finally did, i told my mom about my cramps. She told me to quickly use the restroom. When i did, i screamed. She knocked and asked what happened and i said im bleeding. She told me not to panic and that i started my period. I started panicking, telling her i cant start, im too young. I wiped and my mom came in to look, as well as my grandma, just to make sure. She said "yep, you started!" I literally almost passed out.
ANOTHER BACKSTORY:
My older sister(17) started her period when she was 13 (i was 10-11). I woke up one day and started gettng confused because my sister was holding a pad and my mom was talking to her. My sis went to the restroom, and my mom came to my room. I asked what happened and she told me that my sis started her period. I said ohh like it was nothing but i was really jealous. I was really really really desperate to get my period when i was 10-11 because i wanted to be cool and get 'special treatment' (let me sum it up. In my eyes, that special treatment was that if i got my period i would be cool, have to carry around a period bag, and able to do other stuff.) So anyway, i got highly jealous of my sister for the longest time.
(BACK TO THE TIME I FIRST GOT MY PERIOD!!)
So unlike other girls (i THINK), mine lasted for 7 days without skipping a day, ALL HEAVY FLOW!!. like..ya girl fr wiped so many times..anyway. i heard when you first start its only supposed to last 3 days before advancing to seven but not mine. So thats what also made me freak out lol.(end of story.)

I got my period during the summer before 5th grade. Me and my family were on a 2 day road trip. We were just heading to my aunts house for a couple hours. My cousin is a year younger than me so she didn't have her period and didn't really know anything about them. I went to the bathroom and absolutely freaked out. Personally I thought I was dying. I cried and screamed for my mom. She ran in and comforted me. She went to the store got me new underwear and some pads. I remember thinking that night "This sucks. Now I gotta deal with this every month?" Now I get the worse cramps, but its not scary anymore just hurts like hell! :D

For every girl who‘s worried about not having their period yet. I got mine with 14 and some people have them earlier or later. It’s normal and you don’t have to worry about it. I must say I don’t really use tampons often. I wear pads mostly but if you want to use tampons be careful and relax while you put it in. If you put it in and then it still hurts you need to put it more way up till it’s not hurting anymore. You can change it 2-5 hours depending on how much you’re bleeding. Love y’all❤️😙

Don’t worry you’ll get used to it. Some tips- eat more foods high in iron, vitamin d, calcium and omega 3 when you have it, get a heating pad, get period pants, ask your mum or dad to get you pain killers or try period pain relief patches if the pain is still bad and go to your gp if it is cause bad pain isn’t normal. Try to eat more nutritious food on your period, bananas, nuts, dark chocolate and chamomile tea can be beneficial, avoid fried food and food high in saturated fat, salt, refined sugar and refined carbohydrates. Track your period (it might take a few months to become regular but when it is this could be useful) and don’t be embarrassed or worried about having accidents or anyone knowing you have it.

Before I started my period me and my mum spoke about these things a lot . This made the whole experience less scary and she talked me step by step on what to do . She told me good tips that help like chocolate and cranberry juice(helps for cramps) and she bought me everything I’ll need . I honestly think it should be more normalized for mothers to talk about these things as it helped me a lot .

I got my first period during the first of July 2023 when I was 11. I woke up that morning and went to use the bathroom when I wiped there was blood on it. I was not scared or confused but I wasn’t sure if I Acually had it or not. So I called my mom who was away on a trip and I told her about it she told me that if I actually did I was not allowed to go to the pool that day unless I had a tampon which I was to young to Use. So my mom texted my step mom to give me some pointers and tips also and physically show me how to use a pad. She told me about cramps bloating and sweet cravings. She told me that this was a new step to women hood and how I’d soon enough hit puberty because I was a pre teen. But yeah I’m 12 now and I know there’s nothing to feel embarrassed about it’s a natural thing all girls can relate, speaking of which me and my friends have girl talks on that specific topic and it’s nice having someone besides parents to talk to it about cause there more close to age. good luck girls out there who have got it and if you haven’t don’t feel scared but also don’t wish for it to come it’s annoying and painful enjoy your childhood you’ll appreciate not having it trust me :)))

Omg!! I got my first period on July fourth 2023!! I never told my dad for FOUR months about it
I got my period right before a WATERsports camp. I had to go to the bathroom and I was like but they have bathrooms at camp so I can wait and my mom said no go now and I went a got it 😅. I was 11 almost 12 and hadn’t rlly thought abt it a while. I was scared and screamed for my mom. I didn’t go to camp that day and my mom took me to target and talked abt it with me. The thing that sucked is that she made me go to the WATER sports camp the next day and I had to figure out how to work a Tampon the FIRST day I freaking got it 😂. My period sucks tho, SUPER heavy and terrible cramps. The best thing to remember is your NOT alone, which sounds cheesy but its true.

I got my period in November of 2023 when i was 11 i am now 12, heres the story. So one night i was in the bathroom when i had noticed i had gotten it. I thought that i didnt have to put an overnight pad on so i didnt. When i woke up the next morning i saw my sheets and shorts both had blood on them. I didnt know what to do so i got up stood by my door for like 15 minutes debating on whether or not to call for my mom or have someone get her me. A few minutes later my sister came up and i asked her to get my for me so she just yelled for her. Then my mom came up and helped me with all the blah blah blah. Yeah let me just say... it was kind of an awkward morning for me. But im good now just wanted to share the story so yeaaah❤😊

I had my first period in fourth grade. I was just doing math work and then all the sudden i feel something mushy and squishy so i go ask my teacher if i can use the bathroom. I went to the bathroom stall and checked what was mushy and squishy. Then i screamed on top of my lunges and started to cry. I spent almost the rest of the math block in the bathroom stall and my teacher went to the bathroom 10 minutes after i screamed. My teacher asked what happened and i was afraid to tell her so i told her when i came back to the classroom. That day was the most scariest day ever for me. I will never forget that happened. 😭😣😨😦
