    There's way more going on compared to the old Remote Desktop app. It was incredibly laggy, and nowhere near as clear. The Mixed Reality Link stuff blows everything out of the water when it comes to latency, even Virtual Desktop. VD is still brilliant for the other things ofc, but latency? No contest, Microsoft/Meta really made some magic in regards to that. It really does feel like an actual monitor, and I never got that feeling from anything else.

    • @TheConstruct_VR
      @TheConstruct_VR  18 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

      @Cimlite I can see that Mixed Reality link optimizes the connection for sure. However I’m using a dedicated router (WiFi 6e) with virtual desktop so my bitrate and latency are top notch. I would even argue it’s sharper than Mixed Reality Link. And with the ability to pass peripherals through to the desktop it beats MRL hands down..
      But to be fair you shouldn’t have to do a lot of extra stuff for the best experience so once input to the windows is added this will be the best way. This is why I say “not yet” thanks for spending some time to comment! .

    I think the portability you mention is important. On the Vision Pro, the ability to have a mouse and keyboard tied to the VP also work with any Mac I Virtual Mac Display is brilliant. Then being able to have VP apps working around me. The Quest 3 I have was always clunky. That being said, it still get lots of use, just not for productivity.

      Yep totally understood I feel the same way. Connecting the keyboard and mouse to the Quest itself is the only way this makes sense. First comment since seeing you on Bo's podcast!
    This looks sweet! I've never seen it like this before, I'm not a Meta/Facebook fan so I really wrote off any quests except for the first which I believe doesn't need a fb login, I just don't trust em! They f*cked up big time in Canada and I just don't trust em, but this is f*cking sweet.
    Now are you able to use it without a fb account? Did things change in the past few years? this is honestly my first time seeing the Quest doing AR and all this sh*t. Seriously this is awesome for my photo editing and video editing. Man, load this up on a handheld pc with a huge battery bank and do your work wherever the F you are lol! I can totally see myself using something like this when visiting my mom's and staying over, like tomorrow! lol

    I've tried Virtual Desktop, but as I don't have my pc connected directly to my router (a must for VD), I couldn't use it.
    I've got fluid too (thanks to your channel), it too is coming along nicely and with the latest updates, the keyboard pass-through has improved to show more of your surrounding desktop. The ability to Bluetooth my keyboard and mouse gave the mixed experience I was looking for that the Windows link software was missing, maybe this is something they'll add later?
