A freind of mine who is a Eurostar train driver recanly visited and went on one of the float plane airlines in Alaska , can't rember which one but I saw his video and looked brilliant .
AplhaConservative007 depends on where you fly around Alaska. One of the longer flights are from Anchorage to Adak on the Aleutian Chain, but mostly 1-1.5 hours is average, with shorter flights in the southeast.
Some of the “milk runs” are really short. I flew JNU-YAK-CDV-ANC before. Also ANC/FAI is anywhere from 25 minutes to an hour depending on winds. One of the shortest flights in the country on a jet the size of a 737 is Petersburg to wrangle its like 36 miles
They don’t have a row 5 . There are some other row numbers they skip as well further back because it’s less of a mess for seat assignments in the event they swap aircraft type from a 737 400(which I think are all retired now), to a 700, 800, or 900. Seating maps can be interesting. American for example doesn’t have a row 1 or 2 for passengers and it starts at row 3 on 737.s because they use row one for the jump seat in the cock pit and row 2 for the extra FA seat for non rev and dead heading crew tickets
What a scenery ...Alaska is so beautiful.
Brilliant video, I must visit Alaska one day.
ian kidger thank you, the visit will be well worth it!

It is always a treat to get to rewatch your video....I miss Alaska very much.
It is always a treat to re-live your trips, I just wish I could move back! Thanks, again.
Fantastic...thanks for sharing.
Amazing trip. Juneau has a beautiful image. A very happy movie Congratulations on your work!
Hey there aps, , ,did you ever go to school in Juneau? I was in Juneau-Douglas High School 1962-66. Loved Juneau.
I didn’t - I basically grew up in Anchorage.
@@aps_ak7088 In the 1970's I lived in Spenard, Muldoon and Mt View. Eventually made it out to Eagle River, then to Wasilla.
Are the flights around Alaska city to city really this short? Like 20 minutes to an hour?

Are you in seat 5
6. Alaska's 737 cofigurations skip seat 5. 6 is the front row of main cabin.
@@aps_ak7088 I know...

Great video, thanks for sharing. If you ever fly out to Dutch Harbor (my home), please record the take-off and landing here. :)
Thank you, and definitely. Maybe one day I’ll get that opportunity.
Awesome, I'll look for it. ;)
One of the routes I would really like to fly in real world.
