Alaska is well worth visiting! I have lived in Anchorage and near North Pole Alaska (near Fairbanks). We're planning a visit there. Hopefully, it will be a family reunion
Now might be a good time to come up with all of the various disasters they're predicting for earth globally! Yeah I pretty much feel the same way, people bashing a beautiful place with Awesome people that they don't even near qualify to- bash! We're good people on beautiful land! Come on up if you haven't yet! God bless@
But seeing only Anchorage on a video is not even close to getting to see and experience and LIVE life in a BIG State with many vibrant Native cultures and languages that few are lucky n blessed to get to see and experience!
That's not Russia. 😉Anchorage is on southern coast of Alaska in an inlet. Russia is to the west of Alaska. You are right in knowing Russia and Alaska are physically close to each other.

Do not go up there in winter. It's the height of misery, I spent 15 of them there. Glad to be gone.
