You are so welcome! You can also find it in slow practice tempo in the Playlist section on this channel, that should help you even more in the beginning phase of learning it:-).
You have such beautiful form while you play! I’ve been playing for 3ish years, (and I am nothing close to “perfect form”😅😂) but I’ve learned to be able to spot when violin is played correctly, and you are so beautiful when you play!! I love how clear and precise the sound is!!
Thank you for your beautiful comment! I worked very hard on my form😅🎻 and am glad you notice it🙏😊 I am also delighted to hear that you are playing Book 3 after only 3 years! Bravo!!! Keep up the good work, and remember that this is the most beautiful journey to be on🎻✨💚
Yes, your hard work definitely shows! I am excited to be moving along with books and techniques!! Thank you! Yes, violin is such a beautiful instrument and most definitely is an amazing journey!💛
OK, thanks to you, now I have it! Of course that means I have like a dump truck full of rocks hoing down a bumpy road, but I have it and now will work on making it smooth and musical (like how you do it).
@@violingardenacademy This is Chloe Chua on my friends acc. Your vibrato isnt that significant so make it sound smoother. You also have your wrist too tight so it doesn't sound as good as it can sound. Other than that, you're fine.
Hey! So I noticed that your left wrist moves up and down. Like the top part of your wrist is kind of almost touching your nose on an up bow, and it goes the opposite way on a down bow. I’ve been trying to do that motion, but every time I try to do this I always find my bow touching other strings. Do you have any tips to help me with this? Thanks a lot! By the way you play beautifully!
Hi! You mean my right wrist:-) Yes, training your wrist to be relaxed takes some time, but if you start by practicing drawing a straight bow from frog to tip, you have to include your wrist - try it out:-) I have a video on bow distribution (Playlist section right hand technique) that might help you! Wishing you all the best for your practice!

I tried to play this, and I succeeded!🎉🎉🎉 One time I played it and I noticed this song is included in my Odyssey of the mind play! Wow! This is AWESOME 🤩
I am so glad to hear my videos help you, and I wish you all the very best for your practice! You can also find all the Suzuki pieces (currently until Book 5) in slow practice tempo, and those might be even more helpful to you in the beginning phase of learning a new piece🎻💫🦋😊
Really helpful for people playing book three but I’m playing it with the ornaments ( I played for 2 years and I’m on the book three ) I hope to play like you one day😊
Wonderful! I have this piece with ornaments as well, just in slow practice tempo. Maybe that helps you? You seem to be on the fast track so maybe you finished this one already:-)
Im lerning this piece right now but it’s so bad I just started to play violin some months ago and I’m not really good the only thing in can play (good) is twinkle twinkle little star ⭐️
Oh wow, that might be way too difficult for you at this point. I dont know anyone who could play this well, after only a few months of study. You need a lot of repetition of all your learned pieces up until then, to settle the basic techniques and get the intonation and sound quality to a decent and solid place. No need to rush:-)
Out of curiosity, what fingering did you choose for bar 27? Sorry for all the “experts” on YT criticizing you. Keep posting because your exemplars are really good.
Sure! Bar 27 is just a d-c,b on A-string, so 3-2-1. Is that the one you were wondering about? Also, you can find more recent videos in slow practice tempo. My posture is better in those recent ones and when I play slowly it is easier to imitate and see what I am doing😊. Thanks for your comments and your support, it is much appreciated🙏
Yes, but the middle section is not in book 1, and thats the tricky part here. Also, when you are in book 3, you can add ornaments and perhaps even third position to the first part🎻🦋
I highly recommend buying the Step by Step books by Kerstin Wartberg, thats the one I use. This piece is in Book 3A, and all of the pieces come with piano accompaniment in slow, medium and performance tempo.
Hi Anna, Thank you for playing the entire Minuet #3. Is JS Bach the author of this entire composition? Were you playing this as written in Suzuki Book 3? Is the piano part included in the Suzuki Book 3 version? Are you aware of any scores of this complete song, with piano, as a separate score outside of Suzuki book 3? Thank you, Steve S Long Beach, Ca
Hi Steven! My apologies for the delayed reply, have been on holiday:-) There are two different ways of playing it, with more repeats than I do. Both work just fine:-) And yes, this is composed by J.S. Bach, but it was originally composed just for piano and that you can easily find it online or in any music store. All the best for your practice!
I usually only teach the mordants when the piece is fully learned as has become a review piece, so that's why I recorded it without. But I have a video with them here: th-cam.com/video/ZByfgxsIqn0/w-d-xo.html
Hi there! The ornament is optional:-) I opt for no trill when students learn it for the first time. Then when it is a solid review piece, I love to add the ornamentation! But don't have a video of that - yet:-) Thanks for watching! And more to come soon!
Wonderful! That´s so exciting! And if you havent yet found the videos in slow practice tempo on this channel, I highly recommend you try those, as they are more helpful for imitating the bow scheme and other subtle techniqual elements. Wishing you all the very best for your practice!🌷🎻🦋
Thanks for your feedback! I am playing with a pre-recorded piano accompaniment which is not ideal, but that may be the reason why you feel that I am not driving the piece:-)
I just think about people in the renaissance in big dresses and wigs dancing in a beautiful hall with chandeliers, an orchestra, wonderful food on the tables etc for the first part, and when the minor part comes, it is so melancholy in contrast to the major part, that all I have to do is think of something sad. Maybe that will help you too?
You are right, I do not play it in baroque style, but I do that on purpose. I play it as a piece used for pedagogical purposes, so I play it with a technique and style that is reachable for students at that level. Also, this piece was originally composed for piano, not violin. But it has a great function for students, and then later on, when they have the techniqual abilities to play Bach for violin, then the baroque style can be the main focus. Anyway, I hope you are doing well on your own violin journey and wishing you all the very best!🎻✨🦋
@@bobroch1107 Of course I enjoy hearing the unique sound of an instrument! There are so many wonderful solo pieces that I very much enjoy listening to and playing. However, the sound that more than one instrument can make together, is also unique:-)
