This effect is so true... so true. I once lead a long, important project, where I was absolutly next-level, a real lifetime achievement.
I had both reactions, when I made small mistakes: Some people liked me even more and people with a lot of envy wanted me to be incompetent and hated me more. It was crazy to see that.
