That's great to hear. That kind of personalized and understanding service at difficult times when you're just trying to get back home makes all the difference
Honestly the nicest thing a crew member has done for me is respect the do not disturb sign on my door while flying as I don’t want to see or hear anyone at all. That level of service would drive me insane because I hate talking to people or feeling like I’m causing someone a burden
Don’t feel bad, it comes with the ticket cost. They have one of the most expensive first class tickets and that type of service is included in the price tag.
nicest thing a crew member ever did for me, i was flying economy on delta airlines. it was my boyfriend and i's first time flying on a plane and the person we were going to meet had booked us front row seats. we were up near where the attendants were hanging out during their "downtime", but rather than ignore us they actually sat down and hung out with us like we were friends and, learning it was our first flight, gave us advice on staying comfortable and such. when it came time for inflight snacks, they offered us whatever we wanted off the menu for free. i don't remember the attendants' names, but i'll remember their faces forever. some of the nicest people ive met, period, and getting a sense of human connection with a working person is worth more than any pair of provided slippers or any amount of "yes ma'ams" i should clarify that i've flown several airlines since and that is not at all a typical experience with delta. usually delta is bottom of the barrel, this lot just stood out unusually well due to a combination of factors and were probably having a good day to begin with.
Mine was on a now defunct airline from chile.I sent my dog inside the baggage hold. The plane had a stop in its route to Santiago, the stewardess got to the hold, took a picture of my dog so i would be assured was ok. Amazing crew.
The best cabin crew service I have received when I was on economy class was on Qatar Airways, have always travelled with them. They have never failed to give an excellent service everytime.
Really? I was with a toddler and refused water while the white gentlemen sitting right next to me was served alcohol, water, and what not by the SAME crew member. Reported her there and then and told the staff to get her off serving me and my family. Could see a sudden change of attitude after being called out. Guess Racism is not something any training can fix.
When I was Flying with British Airways, not only did the Cabin Crew allow me into the cockpit pre flight, but just before descent I was awoken to a hand written postcard from the Pilot and Senior first office! A truly kind gesture. 😀
@@JJ-vy2rh BA service from flight attendants is very good if you're in first class, definitely used to be better pre covid before the laid off all of the older employees on higher wages, now its predominantly younger FAs with less experience which isn't as good

We were unaccompanied children and we had our own personal hostesses and on my birthday they let me sit in the cockpit for the flight. I would get a free model of the plane I flew on even some of the passengers would say I wish I had the service your getting lol.
That’s the standard service in Singapore airlines , if you are a new passenger sometimes they will ask how you would like be addressed Being attentive to the passengers, you don’t need to shout even just to get your glass filled , that’s what premium service is, sometimes bit underwhelmed when I’m flying with European carriers
I flew Singapore Business once and the crew was super lovely to me ❤ after we landed the whole crew has given to me a hand written letter with lovely words and a big thank you. Everyone came to me because I was obviously ther favorite guest on the flight. 🤣🥰😘 super cute
The nicest thing cabin crew have done for me, is on domestic Delta flights, they give me a free upgrade from Basic Economy to Comfort Plus, and the F/As kept sneaking me more Biscoffs! Those things are like crack!]
Flying, Air Transat as a young person (it was like unaccompanied minor) was nice. Flight attendant asked me as she drove the cart down if I had an amenity kit (neck pillow, and blanket and a couple other items) which they were selling on board. I had said I hadn’t and so she gently knocked it off the cart and onto my lap (I was aisle seat) stating “You do now.” I made sure to thank her. She also gave me treats. :-) American Airlines impressed me in economy with full cans of pop! I have had it happen before on other airlines but not by default. Iceland Air was nice as that time the full can of pop in question was orange pop exclusive to their nation. Another one was when I happened to be at my gate really early on WestJet and a flight attendant and I got talking and she showed me the crew iPad and how they can see the seating chart. The other passenger sitting next to me on board wondered initially how she knew me by first name. 😂
I once received that kind of service on Etihad in business class from IAD to AUH. She was simply amazing! She checked on me literally every 15-20 minutes. Mid flight I rang the call button and told her I was hungry and just wanted a snack. She asked me what and I wasn't sure but I had to use the restroom. When I came back, she had put one of every single snack they had on my tray table, and she refreshed my drink. Mind blown!!
When I was 10 I was on a flight from lhr To Delhi I had a broken leg and flew economy however when a member saw me like that he cleared my row and gave me lots of room to recline as I had a cast on my leg they were so humble and offered us free food and beverages
I remember seeing a large crew of Singapore cabin attendants checking in at LHR. They were immaculate and very social with each other. I would have loved to have flown with them. Instead I was waiting to check into Turkish Air business class to Istanbul then to LAX. The crew was efficient but they didn’t have the style of Singapore Airlines.
on my klm flight back to the netherlands from chile, i got very sick (throwing up, bad nausea) as i had just recovered from a nasty bout of influenza. the flught attendants offered me cola to make sure my blood sugar wouldn't dip, and helped me walk to the back of the plane so i could sit somewhere where there was a bit more space for me to breathe. i remember one of the flight attendats had emetophobia but she still tried her best to provide support while i tried not to throw up. it was very kind
Just 2 weeks ago, I flew on ANA's R2D2 787 in business in 1A. Cabin crew offered to take a picture of me with a huge stuffed Yoda. It was a very wholesome experience.
But I’m curious, what’s the nicest thing you’ve ever done for the cabin crew? I bring gifts and sweets on board for the Singapore Business Class crew and we have the BEST relationship for the time we are together. Don’t ever forget to be nice to the people being nice to you!
I once had a flight attendant thank me after the flight for being so polite. I was literally just saying please and thank you the whole time. I guess they just have some tough customers, and I was one of the nicer ones that day...
I remember a flight on board a A340 from Cathay Pacific where I lost my glasses after waking up from a nap. Thankfully the cabin crew member found it and was holding onto it in case someone was looking for it. Still thankful to them to this day regarding that
A guy on Lufthansa asked me if i wanted to see the cockpit and try a first class seat(I’ve always wanted to try it). It was on their 747 too which made it very special
I flew with SQ recently from LHR to SIN with 6 months old infant. It was my son’s first long flight but the crew was just taking care of us since boarding. They regularly checking whether we are ok or not, offering us food and even play with my son to make sure we have some time for our own. It was 13 hours long flight but didn’t feel like it and one of the best experience in my life.
I was flying with Garuda Indonesia and the cabin crew literally help me to prepare baby food and milk, and stand by for anything else if i need help. Keeps checking my baby if he's comfortable with his first flight 😊 Edit: and btw i was in economy class
My best interaction i wont forget it when i was 8, my brother and I were "starving" as it was a really long flight and this kind SIA flight attendant gave us more meals, without even thinking about it. This was a really kind gesture i wont forget hehe ❤ Love SIA and the cabin crew
Do they not do this if you ask. I realized some cabin crew (or hotel staff) keep referring to you with the formal “sir/madam” even when requesting not to. I do not need someone to open the bathroom door for me. Good service for me is, friendly, approachable, and proactive.
I was a teen and flying to USA by myself on an SQ flight (economy). When my ears were blocked after takeoff and I looked distressed the SQ stewardess immediately gave me a glass of orange juice and asked me to swallow to help clear my ear block. So sweet and helpful! It’s been nearly 30 year and I still remember ❤
The nicest thing a cabin crew has done to me is about 7 years ago, flying back from Barbados to London Gatwick on Virgin Atlantic, i woke up and a cabin crew member gave me an ice lolly. And this was all in economy.
I flew kochin to Singapore in the economy class. I was tired due to personal reasons and i didn't look like a rich person. To be honest, i did get some judgy stares from the cabin crew and that was enough for me not to ask for any favours during the flight.
It all boils down to professional high-quality training, right motivation, presence of mind on the job, being fully aware of the lasting negative impact on the reputation of the airline if one loses his/her cool on the job. Attentiveness and respect for the passengers are keys to getting loyal repeat travellers.
Singapore airlines cabin crew behaviour is so good in economy too. They have provided me the hot towel, a free headset and juice while boarding.. they ever come and ask do we need something like that.. i will never forget my journey in SINGAPORE AIRLINES ❤❤❤
That’s standard practice for Singapore Airlines. All this is provided promptly in economy class. That hot towel feels so good after you have been stressed out catching your flight. And it’s a real towel that retains heat a few seconds longer, for that Ahhh feeling - not a skinny little paper napkin.
thanks so much for giving them the recognition they deserve. as a daughter of a sq cabin crew, they really do work outrageously hard. and for those that say the real test is when you're on economy class, they really do give the same treatment to all the passengers, regardless of class
even in economy singapore airlines is amazing! when i flew with them last year they were so sweet and throughout the night would bring water and juice to those who were still awake. the best cabin crew experience i’ve ever had
The crew at singapore airlines is the best I have ever had! On a business class flight from Singapore to Germany we ran into a thunderstorm and I panicked a bit. The flight attendant noticed this immediately and came to me to calm me down and brought me snacks and drinks. Really a 10/10 experience
The customer service of Singapore airlines extends to its ground crew as well. Ig your luggage somewhat got lost or was not able to travel with you because of a prior delayed flight, the compensation & service on tracking your bag are much better than most of the other airlines in the world. That's why they are number one. It's an overall experience. Or if you belong to the business class, expect your bag in a separate area which usually already pulled out on the floor and not over the conveyor.
I was in Qatar Paris-Delhi via Doha. I helped the cabin crew with some stuff because the aircraft was so crowded. Later the Cabin Crew came and she gave me her homemade Nepalese cookies with me and later we hugged each other! ❤️
There was a crew member on I think Etihad who was thoughtful and sympathetic when my adult son, who is on the ASD spectrum, was airsick throughout our long haul flight. He wasn't impatient or unkind at all. He was the best, a credit to himself, his profession and the airline.
The best cabin crews are those you take care of you when they notice something off without even asking. My favourite was Delta. I was on the last leg of a 30+hr journey. I’m a pilot myself, so i really enjoy watching the takeoff and landings. But i was so deadly tired that flight that i passed out before the wheels left the ground, and the next time i was conscious again, we were already over our destination airport. She still managed to hand me a bottle of water before we touched down. I opened the 500ml bottle and drained it in 1 go, and made sure to thank her before leaving.
I'm sure I'm in the minority, but when I'm flying, I don't want hospitality. I want solace. I just want to be left alone to enjoy the window view. That's all. When upgraded I usually have a worse time honestly, the constant nagging/asking totally trainwrecks the experience. I have rejected upgrades more than once just because of that.
The nicest thing a cabin crew has done to me was to push me on my seat, shove my bag in the overhead luggage and give me a death stare when I asked if I could use the toilet.
😂 not sure which airlines you are referring too.. but Singapore airlines is actually quite famous for giving amazing service to their selected passengers , usually based on the passengers ethnicity.. so those who are praising their excellent sevice most likely belong to a type of ethnicity that the airline prefers. That’s the truth.
I’ve flown their economy for an 11 hour flight - they’re so kind. I was sick and refusing food but the one attendant could see I needed to eat and gave me fruits and water instead. Love their service
Flew economyon Air India. One of the crew spotted me again at Trevi fountain and greeted me by my name, asked about my holiday so far and wished me a happy rest of the holiday again.
I landed in Singapore 6 weeks ago after the best flight ever on Singapore Airlines but after i got confused in the airport some other staff escorded me all the way to my next destination after they worked a full shift. I only asked for directions, but they walked all the way with me. I was so gratefull for the welcoming experience. The people are very warm, polite and friendly
This flight attendant guy put an ice pack on my kneck when I was having a nose bleed on a return flight home from a 4 day bender in krakow. What a hero !
I think if you can only afford economy, the cabin crew should be just as attentive because economy is first class for those who can only afford economy. Thank you for showing us this. Its really nice to see this 😊
A memorable experience with SIA was flying with them Business Class from Auckland to London with a 3 week old baby. They were extra attentive, helped us with taking meals in turn, found a different seat for my wife to get some genuine sleep for a few hours,. So far above and beyond what I expected. Just magical
Even in Economy SQ has consistently given me the best experience. Helpful, courteous and actually listen to the passenger. They never give the impression that it's a burden talking to you. Even their ground staff is great. Absolutely recommend SQ.
Singapore and Cathay Pacific for me gave me the best service every time I've flown with them, and the stewardesses were very attractive as well ❤ If I had to pick one it would probably be Cathay because I found the airplane to be roomier as well and just overall more nice too. Food was great in both airlines though.
When I was 10, I was going home from DXB to MNL with my mom via Emirates. The plane wasn’t filled, and the cabin crew let me choose a seat of my choosing, anytime within the flight. They even offered to do whatever to the seats - make a makeshift bed, for example. They kept me entertained, talked to me, and even offered to play games with me. At the end of the flight, they gave me some goodies and wished me well. They were very sweet, and it is still the dearest flight experience I have.
Absolutely, I’d happily pay the premium to get an SA Business seat on my route. It’s amazing that they can get it right and other airlines just do not bother.
completely agree with Singapore service.. We were coming back from Africa on a half empty flight so each person in economy got their own row..(a bonus in itself). My wife was really unwell and they couldn't do enough to make sure she was comfortable, hydrated and generally well looked after. We still talk about it after 15 years.
Singapore Airlines has the best service. Once I was having a terrible anxiety attack and an attendant sat next to me and comforted me for half the flight
I believe they knelt and addressed you by your last name because that's what they do in their culture. They're just being respectful. In some African cultures it's the same. I always get a culture shock when I'm in European countries and the young people there don't show respect to their elders 😂😂😂 or when I'm expected to call someone old enough to be my father by their first name.
The real cabin crew attitude you can test is when you're on economy class.

That's great to hear. That kind of personalized and understanding service at difficult times when you're just trying to get back home makes all the difference
Oh! Singapore Airlines are on different level. They are the best 👌 👍
Honestly the nicest thing a crew member has done for me is respect the do not disturb sign on my door while flying as I don’t want to see or hear anyone at all. That level of service would drive me insane because I hate talking to people or feeling like I’m causing someone a burden
Exactly know what you mean... same for me
yeah the service he talk about here would make me feel so bad.
Go live in a forest then
Don’t feel bad, it comes with the ticket cost. They have one of the most expensive first class tickets and that type of service is included in the price tag.
Same here.
I love Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Korean Air, Emirates and Qatar. Professionalism is always at their best.
I LOVE flying with Singapore airlines. The crew are always amazing, kind and considerate. Top notch!
They treat differently if its a Black/Brown passagner.
Are u one? Maybe if you are black you can go and board and she if they treat you differently
nicest thing a crew member ever did for me, i was flying economy on delta airlines. it was my boyfriend and i's first time flying on a plane and the person we were going to meet had booked us front row seats.
we were up near where the attendants were hanging out during their "downtime", but rather than ignore us they actually sat down and hung out with us like we were friends and, learning it was our first flight, gave us advice on staying comfortable and such. when it came time for inflight snacks, they offered us whatever we wanted off the menu for free.
i don't remember the attendants' names, but i'll remember their faces forever. some of the nicest people ive met, period, and getting a sense of human connection with a working person is worth more than any pair of provided slippers or any amount of "yes ma'ams"
i should clarify that i've flown several airlines since and that is not at all a typical experience with delta. usually delta is bottom of the barrel, this lot just stood out unusually well due to a combination of factors and were probably having a good day to begin with.
Mine was on a now defunct airline from chile.I sent my dog inside the baggage hold. The plane had a stop in its route to Santiago, the stewardess got to the hold, took a picture of my dog so i would be assured was ok. Amazing crew.
Ladeco? 🙃
The best cabin crew service I have received when I was on economy class was on Qatar Airways, have always travelled with them. They have never failed to give an excellent service everytime.
SIA trained their Cabin Crew very well! 😊🙏🌷🌿🌏💜🕊🇸🇬
Need their trainers to train US crews
@@noelaniharris2670oh boy! 😂😅
@@nirmitakochhar932cap
@@nirmitakochhar932same. They’re super nice if you’re white 🤪
On Singapore economy because everything else was booked out. The staff were so kind and helped a lot, also great food for economy.
When I was Flying with British Airways, not only did the Cabin Crew allow me into the cockpit pre flight, but just before descent I was awoken to a hand written postcard from the Pilot and Senior first office! A truly kind gesture. 😀
Must of been a long time ago to go
@@JJ-vy2rh it was october
@@JJ-vy2rh BA service from flight attendants is very good if you're in first class, definitely used to be better pre covid before the laid off all of the older employees on higher wages, now its predominantly younger FAs with less experience which isn't as good
My dad lived in Germany and every school holiday when we flew there. We were unaccompanied children and we had our own personal hostesses and on my birthday they let me sit in the cockpit for the flight. I would get a free model of the plane I flew on even some of the passengers would say I wish I had the service your getting lol.
@Ben_Silverstein34you don't know the context. It's easy to always assume the worst. But I guess that's the world we're living in.
They are the best! Love flying with SG Airlines.❤
I would hate being treated like that.
Being babied by a stranger is kind of scary
Um, then tell them that??
That’s the standard service in Singapore airlines , if you are a new passenger sometimes they will ask how you would like be addressed
Being attentive to the passengers, you don’t need to shout even just to get your glass filled , that’s what premium service is, sometimes bit underwhelmed when I’m flying with European carriers
Amazing cabin crew in Singapore airlines 🎉
😊
When I was 10 I was on a flight from lhr To Delhi I had a broken leg and flew economy however when a member saw me like that he cleared my row and gave me lots of room to recline as I had a cast on my leg they were so humble and offered us free food and beverages
I remember seeing a large crew of Singapore cabin attendants checking in at LHR. They were immaculate and very social with each other. I would have loved to have flown with them. Instead I was waiting to check into Turkish Air business class to Istanbul then to LAX. The crew was efficient but they didn’t have the style of Singapore Airlines.
Totally agree.. SIA has its own style
on my klm flight back to the netherlands from chile, i got very sick (throwing up, bad nausea) as i had just recovered from a nasty bout of influenza. the flught attendants offered me cola to make sure my blood sugar wouldn't dip, and helped me walk to the back of the plane so i could sit somewhere where there was a bit more space for me to breathe. i remember one of the flight attendats had emetophobia but she still tried her best to provide support while i tried not to throw up. it was very kind
Just 2 weeks ago, I flew on ANA's R2D2 787 in business in 1A. Cabin crew offered to take a picture of me with a huge stuffed Yoda. It was a very wholesome experience.
SA has that intuitive X factor, so kind and sincere and memorable.
Good reminder. Thanks!
I got pringles free of charge in economy once, but the best thing I got in business is warm towels(they be hitting hard tho)
Keeps checking my baby if he's comfortable with his first flight 😊
Edit: and btw i was in economy class
The nicest thing a crew member ever did for me was say “Hi good morning” and smiled for 3.4 seconds.
3.4 seconds great...
Bruhh 💀😂😂 that's the only good thing we'll get from them
3.4 seconds 🤣🤣🤣 how did you measure that
For the type of person you are, that's considered fucking nice already lol. Most would have less patience for you.
Because she smile back on 3.3 sec. @@FifyKaqiqiPain
My best interaction i wont forget it when i was 8, my brother and I were "starving" as it was a really long flight and this kind SIA flight attendant gave us more meals, without even thinking about it. This was a really kind gesture i wont forget hehe ❤
Love SIA and the cabin crew
Do they not do this if you ask. I realized some cabin crew (or hotel staff) keep referring to you with the formal “sir/madam” even when requesting not to. I do not need someone to open the bathroom door for me.
Good service for me is, friendly, approachable, and proactive.
Same, Id feel really bad about letting them do stuff like that all the time
I was a teen and flying to USA by myself on an SQ flight (economy). When my ears were blocked after takeoff and I looked distressed the SQ stewardess immediately gave me a glass of orange juice and asked me to swallow to help clear my ear block. So sweet and helpful! It’s been nearly 30 year and I still remember ❤
Nicest is when you fly economy and crew asks you humbly how was the experience.
As a Singaporean I'm happy you like our counties airlines 😊❤
It all boils down to professional high-quality training, right motivation, presence of mind on the job, being fully aware of the lasting negative impact on the reputation of the airline if one loses his/her cool on the job. Attentiveness and respect for the passengers are keys to getting loyal repeat travellers.
They let you feel the presence of your mother through their hospitality.❤
On my recent KLM flight the FA noticed I have a seafood allergy so lovingly made a special salad for me from scratch. It was amazing.

The best for me when the cabin crew push the trolley and ask me if i wanna buy anything..i shake my head said no and they walk off.
thanks so much for giving them the recognition they deserve. as a daughter of a sq cabin crew, they really do work outrageously hard. and for those that say the real test is when you're on economy class, they really do give the same treatment to all the passengers, regardless of class
Totally agree Singapore airlines crew are the best world wide❤️
even in economy singapore airlines is amazing! when i flew with them last year they were so sweet and throughout the night would bring water and juice to those who were still awake. the best cabin crew experience i’ve ever had
Absolute delight to fly with Singapore airlines.
The crew at singapore airlines is the best I have ever had! On a business class flight from Singapore to Germany we ran into a thunderstorm and I panicked a bit. The flight attendant noticed this immediately and came to me to calm me down and brought me snacks and drinks. Really a 10/10 experience
Air Canada gave me a bottle of water in business class
SIA crew are always kind. We have lots of patients from Singapore Airlines. From pilots to FAs..always smiling and warm.
There was a crew member on I think Etihad who was thoughtful and sympathetic when my adult son, who is on the ASD spectrum, was airsick throughout our long haul flight. He wasn't impatient or unkind at all. He was the best, a credit to himself, his profession and the airline.
I adore Singapore Airlines staff!
I flew economy long haul and they were amazing ❤
I've flown Singapore in economy - best flights ever. Outstanding airline in every way, with a well-earned #1 ranking.
True
So comfortable
The best cabin crews are those you take care of you when they notice something off without even asking.
My favourite was Delta. I was on the last leg of a 30+hr journey. I’m a pilot myself, so i really enjoy watching the takeoff and landings. But i was so deadly tired that flight that i passed out before the wheels left the ground, and the next time i was conscious again, we were already over our destination airport. She still managed to hand me a bottle of water before we touched down. I opened the 500ml bottle and drained it in 1 go, and made sure to thank her before leaving.
Asian Airlines are so up there with service .Singapore Airlines is just amazing , well done crew.
At Singapore Airlines, I once told the flight attendant that I have some headache. Without even asking, she got me a camomile tea and a pain killer
Nice Review!!! Emirates should take a cue from them. Lufthansa crews are also sweet even in economy.
I know what you mean
Honestly speaking...the nicest thing a cabin crew did for me was give me her number 🎉
@@greenpath26well said 😂only amazing to certain kind of passengers NOT all! They are quite racist in my opinion.
@@spicekitchen2063 I'm Singaporean, and singaporeans have a multiracial culture so they are usually not racist
@FifyKaqiqiPain yes i agreed with you.
Sometime people pin point others racist but need to check on their own attitude and self entitlement.
They are very respectful to economy class passengers as well 🎉🎉marking them the best 🎉🎉
Crew remains the same but attitude changes from business to economy ! 😋
Singapore Airlines is truly awesome
SQ is the ONLY airline I fly. Not only the best service but also amongst the safest airline in the world. That is Singapore ! Keep it up Singapore !
I think if you can only afford economy, the cabin crew should be just as attentive because economy is first class for those who can only afford economy. Thank you for showing us this. Its really nice to see this 😊
A cabin crew member helped me and my wife to get our daughter to sleep when she was just 3. It was totally noble and humble thing to do.
Being nostalgic remenbering " cathay pacific" they were so famous and glamorous
yes but other classes also great
The nicest thing was getting a 2nd meal ❤ I found the gesture really touching 😊
Beside their good service, the food is also much better than other airlines
Highly trained professionals for the service industry. Top notch for most major airlines. Even some budget ones. They're extremely well remunerated.
