Provided they were polite about it, I'd actually be very pleased to have a company CEO reach out to a customer to try and rationalize negative experiences and elaborate on what they'll do to fix them. If they did it the right way then that means that's an individual who understands and embraces the business of customer service.
The way I see it is this and, really, airlines should too: As long as you aren't breaking any laws, you should be fine and be allowed to do what you do. Always remember that your content is brilliant and you always talk about the positive side of airlines as well as the negative.
You should write a book publishing all the emails with the reviews so that we can all see the lengths the airlines will go to trying to harass you into deleting or changing your review! I guarantee it will be a best seller!! ❤😊

I wouldn't boycott Qatar and I wouldn't tell others to either, because their offering is very good and that's what matters to me as a traveller. However, that whole situation made me look at the airline in new eyes.
@magnustan841 I dunno, Qatar while has a nice product is a very inconsistent one as well. Like the frequency of operational swaps is a bit of a red flag for me. Don't want to pay for QSuites and then end up in the very dated angle lie flat. It's like ordering a NY Strip and getting a skirt steak. Still good but not what I ordered.

The problem is that they overeacted to the problem, even got the state avaition autority to ground the planes and started a lawsuit against Airbus. That last one backfired on them big time. Airbus countersuided them and as far as I'm aware , they are winning. Currently the Emire of Qatar cant bailout the company as he has other problems on his hands -mosly in making sure that the food supply is 100% secured. Few years ago Qatar was blockaded by its arab naighobrs for been a friend to Iran and the food imports ware the most affected.

Not that I have much to say about CX considering I fly SQ to Hong Kong, but my main frequent flyer card is NH which I still keep considering they bumped me up to premium economy once, but still. That really doesn't bode well for my trip to Japan on NH, which is really bad because out of the three full service airlines that ply the SIN-TYO route NH gave the best value for money, and only one of two that allows 2x23kg luggage for economy passengers (SQ is 30kg, no piece limit).
It is important to tell what is good and what is bad and if they are not happy that is not your problem . The job of a critic is to tell what is good and what is bad …nothing personal.
Be honest, how many times have you used the "do you know who I am" line? (Do you know how many Twitter followers I have?) Do you think every employee who hears that is eager to fluff your pillows?
I think that happens to Airline review bloggers a lot, i follow a few different review vloggers, and they've said the same thing. One Vlogger i follow did a roasting review of Air Canada and he was shamed, ignored, and treated horribly by both the Cabin Crew and Gate Agents. Air Canada truly is an embarrassment of an airline.
Airlines need to man up and deal with the issues. Cleanliness should be one of their top priorities. Food temperatures are critical. Using a Checklist making sure all expected items were loaded via catering should be standard. As for premium paying customers they are competing so either listen to reasonable issues or lose your high margin clients.
Maybe they should take the criticism and improve. Especially when reviews are going to start mentioning the sunroofs and removable doors during the flight
The problem is, if those employees keep harassing you for saying something bad about them, you can re-expose them and it’ll keep making them look bad and then even worse! In the end, they’ll have to be nice!

That really doesn't bode well for my trip to Japan on NH, which is really bad because out of the three full service airlines that ply the SIN-TYO route NH gave the best value for money, and only one of two that allows 2x23kg luggage for economy passengers (SQ is 30kg, no piece limit).

I think that happens to Airline review bloggers a lot, i follow a few different review vloggers, and they've said the same thing. One Vlogger i follow did a roasting review of Air Canada and he was shamed, ignored, and treated horribly by both the Cabin Crew and Gate Agents. Air Canada truly is an embarrassment of an airline.

Airlines need to man up and deal with the issues.
Cleanliness should be one of their top priorities.
Food temperatures are critical.
Using a Checklist making sure all expected items were loaded via catering should be standard.
As for premium paying customers they are competing so either listen to reasonable issues or lose your high margin clients.
When someone give constructive critisism, great opportunities to take look into it. Who knows it may lead to something better❤.

Maybe they should take the criticism and improve. Especially when reviews are going to start mentioning the sunroofs and removable doors during the flight
The problem is, if those employees keep harassing you for saying something bad about them, you can re-expose them and it’ll keep making them look bad and then even worse! In the end, they’ll have to be nice!
