"Geoff on the low end just doing unfathomable things" - nice pun, sir. As always, Emily's reactions are a delight to watch. It was almost unkind to stop the video just before Geoff drops that first bass note and then throw her back in unprepared, though 😂
I have to say, my favorite in this has to be Eli. When he goes for it, it's absolute fire, vocally and visually. The more I hear his voice the more I like him.
yes! Eli is tiny but terrifying here. He looks and sounds like he's some wild shaman channeling the gods of war...and what a set of pipes! I got into VoicePlay because Geoff "Viking Warhorn" Castelluci, but they are all amazing, and I really love Eli in this one.
I have never seen any comments on the freaking amazing job all band mates do, on making a single verse sound different each time they sing it. Just amazing beyond belief. And kudos to Layne, who arranged this.
Oh my gosh! I didn't realize HOW MUCH I MISSED EMILY until I saw her today! Welcome back, girl!! I think VP did an awesome job with this. Eli still scares me for some reason, and Geoff and Layne sound better and better every time! Hew many foe-men!!!
Eli is an amazingly kind wonderful and fun person as well as being extremely intelligent ....he did a great job being very creepy and unsettling in this though. Love when he gets gritty with his vocals.
@@RealAngelOfMusic, so true. In Norse mythology, Heimdall is the sentry of the Bifrost (portals to different worlds) who sees and hears any intruders and when Ragnarok comes, he blows the Gjallerhorn to call the enherajar (dead warriors welcomed in Valhalla) to battle.
Emily said it right. I feel like punching a wall, too--in a good way. And I don't know what we're doing, but yeah, let's do it! The last time I felt this way over a song was Avi Kaplan's "Change on the Rise." Didn't know where they were marching to but I wanted a torch to carry. (Watching Eli slowly draw his thumb across his throat made me shiver!) It was dramatic and theatrical and awesome.
I like the vibes overall from these guys in real life. It's not a job, it's not a contractual obligation. It seems to be a social group including all the people working on make up and sets. When someone has to leave for any reason they deal with it just like a group of friends not coworkers.
So excited to see Emily react with you to this video. Can’t wait for her facial expressions when she hears Geoff’s war horn. Edit: Y’all got a groove on. 😄😄. Love to your reactions.
Had been watching this on repeat before watching your reaction so when you paused, I knew what was going to happen as soon as you hit play at 2:30 and your faces did not disappoint.
If you haven't heard it yet, you simply must react to their rendition of Hoist the Colors High. You should really pay attention to the three minute mark and listen to Geoff go from deep base, around F2 to A4 without breaking sound or breath....amazing voice from another world than ours.
This is definitely one of Voiceplay's best videos. Brad, love the t-shirt you wore in this video. Ronnie Milsap is an amazing artist. I live about 30 minutes from his hometown, Hayesville,NC.
Oooooh man, you killed me when you stopped it that first time, I was leaning in in anticipation, and kinda deflated. But great reactions from both of you!
Brad, I've been a subscriber since you had about 1K subs or less. Found you because of The Steele's. Love your music. I started watching your reactions and enjoyed them enough I've been coming back. I was glad you got Emily involved. She's hilarous.
Love when Emily gets to join in!!! Nothing wrong at all with just you Brad in any way. I think Jose should join them as well. Not many featured musicians are up for all the costumes and makeup but he was and did a fantastic job. This is in my top 3 for VP.
Geoff Castellucci as well as Tim Foust (and many other bass singers) look up to Tim Storms. They both sport five octaves vocal range, Dimash exceeds that by one octave, but Tim Storms has TWELVE octaves vocal range. Try his cover of "Lonesome Road" to get your bones rattled. More about Tim Storms? --> en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Storms
3:07 Yes! Thank you! I thought I was the only one who felt that way! Dude sounded like a freakin' digeridoo! Props to Emily for saying the same thing as I did.
I enjoyed Jose on this track, but he's already part of an a capella group, and I'd hate to think of taking him away from Rockapella. I'd love to see him as a featured artists again, though!
Yo this my first time watchin ya and let me tell ya right here n right now,,,,, I fukin love ya,, awesome reaction to DE one of best voice play to-date... ya got me askin for more, thank you..
You guys are great. You are one of only a few on youtube, that I believe show an honest, true reaction every time. It makes the experience of watching the video a great pleasure. I wish you both and your families a safe and healthy time. 2 things that a wise person once told me, that I will never forget are. "The measure of a man is not how far he falls, but how he rises" and "Without music there can be no peace, without peace there can be no happiness, without happiness there is no hope, without hope, life just isn't worth living". Words I try to live by. Sorry for the long comment, I just want you to know how appreciated you are. Stay blessed and loved.
OK, it's official... Geoff is not human! LOL. Sure am gonna miss J. 😭 But he is leaving to serve our country in the Navy, and I can't say anything bad about that. My hubby is a retired & disabled veteran. So all I have is respect for J.💜
Geoff sounds like a mountain horn they are fantastic, it's a pity J.None is jointing the US Navy for I think a coupple of years but he's coming back. Stay safe
sad thing is that with J None leaving, they're down to a trio. Last year one other person left for I believe personal reasons, so time to sign on two new members, perhaps Jose Rosario and a woman like Rachel Potter, perhaps Brad might put his name in to the ring, send a demo and see what happens
Deejay Young has been getting featured a bunch the same way J was before he became an official member, it makes me think there's a strong chance he'll be joining soon too.
Omar Cardona is awesome. "Superstition", "Dragonborn Comes" and "Carry On Wayward Son". Hopefully get more collabs with him later this year to seal the deal.
Nah bruh you're lame lol cause I didgeri"doo" did love her joke as well lmao nah bruh just kidding y'all are both amazing reactors and singers...much love to both of y'all
I love y’all reaction to this video and the one member who’s leaving is j-none he’s going into the navy gonna miss him something awful y’all be safe lots of ❤️ coming from Philadelphia 👍👍🔥🔥

Oh another bass is Elliott, sing in a group with the guy that left Homefree, he's another bass off the chain, their coming out of the wood work....😉🥴😳🤣

We’ll miss J None. But he said it’s not forever. And he going to be serving his country, vocally. So good for him.
I have to say, my favorite in this has to be Eli. When he goes for it, it's absolute fire, vocally and visually. The more I hear his voice the more I like him.
Agreed. Eli is an absolute beast through his entire range.

I got into VoicePlay because Geoff "Viking Warhorn" Castelluci, but they are all amazing, and I really love Eli in this one.
Eli is like if Chris Cornell was a viking.
He’s definitely getting his Viking on. He really not only nails the music but he nails the theater, every time.

And kudos to Layne, who arranged this.
I didn't want this song to end , they are awesome.
Emily became even more southern during the break
Awesome reaction as usual! This is probably in my top 3 for VoicePlay. But it is hard to decide. They just keep getting better and better.

@@jennifersmith8923 I know! Eli is great, and definitely underrated! I love his voice, his riffs and runs. And I think he's a very sweet guy!
Sounds like a digeridoo? That is a great description! I would have classified it as a foghorn.
I heard both the foghorn and the digeridoo.
it's supposed to be the Gjallarhorn I think...from Norse Mythology

Geoff's drone is a vocal rendition of a gjallarhorn.
So good to see my Viking heritage represented in this way. All hail Oden, and may the Valkyries carry the righteous to Valhalla.
You should check out Valhalleluja wit the band Nanowar of Steel. A good tribute to our Nordic coutries.
This is a crazy video especially geoffs f1 hits throughout the whole thing, spot on. Wonderful reaction channel too keep it up
So excited to see Emily react with you to this video. Can’t wait for her facial expressions when she hears Geoff’s war horn.
Edit: Y’all got a groove on. 😄😄. Love to your reactions.
That low note is in F1 and I believe in one part goes even lower which is rediculous. I love this song and great reaction keep up the great work
I kept wanting to hear more of Geoff with his foghorn sound ...
I know right? He sounds like a didgeridoo. I could get into just an hour long loop of that F1 note with maybe some rhythm behind it.
Had been watching this on repeat before watching your reaction so when you paused, I knew what was going to happen as soon as you hit play at 2:30 and your faces did not disappoint.

When Emily is on, she OWNs it. Sorry, guy.
3:10 Dude had to backtrack to address that pun. Thank you. 😂
Love this performance, love this group. And your fiancee is wonderful! Congrats!
EMILY!!! We've missed you. I've been waiting for her reaction to this...but you get that money girl!!
It's J. None, the African-American member, that is leaving to join the Navy. They do leave it open for him to return.

loving the energy in this video! and the puns lol

You all are craaaaaaazy fun together. Awesome video! Keep them coming.

I kinda like their songs with deejay young but Jose's voice definatly blends more

Geoff sounds like one vikinghorn.
Geoff would vastly boost those who are in the Fog Horn business. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Just a bit f trivia, this is a translation of a poem by a famous viking poet of about 1000 years ago, when he was a boy. Cool huh?
