Rob, you gotta watch the movie! It's epic! Regarding the watch, I'm sure this white dial will sell quite well. Although, the original black dial would still be the pick for me (and maybe it's because I am such a fan of the movie). Great video as usual!
For me, I wish they had a slightly heavier outline around the numbers and black handset for better contrast... Or, all that above but blued handset would be nicer too.
I'm sure they will release a bracelet version of the white dial at some point, like they did with the Khaki Expedition. I am sorely tempted by the black dial on bracelet, even though I have an SPB159 Alpinist (on Seiko bracelet) and Seiko SZSB006 TicTAC, which have a similar vibe/style.
@@J0hnny8ravo Swimming IS submerging. There is nothing to trust. You just push it in and you're good for swimming and snorkelling. Take your watch in for a preassure test every year or two and have the gaskets changed if a watchmaker says the're done. Dive watches will leak too if the gaskets are worn out. A screw down crown is useful only if you're grabbing something on the sea bed, so it doesn't get pulled out by accident. Other than that, a screw down crown has no bearing on water resistance whatsoever.

Nice watch, but i think the Laco Cuxhaven is a strong competitor in this segment. I am considering buying one at the moment.
The cuxhaven 39 100% over the hamilton imo
I just watched the movie last week and enjoyed it. I'm planning on getting the white dial. Go watch the movie, Rob.
would've been much better with black or navy blue numerals imho

Agree on the outlining

It seems to be a consistent theme that Khakis with black disks are available with bracelet and the light dial versions of the same watch aren't. Why?

Nice! 🚀
Relax, grab a glass of whisky, watch the movie and enjoy yourself
It should come with a screw-down crown and 100m of wr for that price.
It has 100m of water resistance. Why would you need a screw down crown?
@ I don’t trust a pull-push crown when it comes to swimming, let alone submerging

Way too small. The Murph is a 42mm; I could tolerate a 40, but 38 is simply too small.
Strongly agreed !!!
