All good info! I work with a lot of law school grads that work as insurance adjusters and other risk management positions. They make at least six figures!
The average salary for lawyers is only $88,245 though. And that number is skewed because some lawyers make bank. I’m glad your friends found success though!
everything about my post-secondary and career path is non-traditional, so i knew within the first few months of 1L year that i didn’t want to actually practice law lol. i’m currently looking into HR, compliance, and finance careers but my ultimate goal is to get back into the classroom. i really miss teaching. 😭 love seeing how much your channel is growing!
ooooo you should definitely look into being an adjunct professor at a law school. You would still be able to do another career as well! Thanks so much for the support :)
@@TheAspiringBoss can I be a lawyer and an FBI agent at the same time?? I’m currently in college studying criminal justice on a pre-law track. Please reply?!!
@@Angel_Diyaa I don't see why you couldn't, except for the amount of time you'll be spending working as an agent. If you kept up on the legal system and all the things you'd need to be up to date with to practice law, then it wouldn't be much of a transition.
Power is great, but in addition to that elected officials/government reps are often able to turn their experience into really lucrative opportunities after leaving government. That could include lobbying, consulting/advising, the “government affairs” office of a big company.
Hey girl!! I LOVE your law videos, and I'm in my first year at uni for a legal studies bachelor. I would love if you made a job video for law jobs without law school and just bachelors! (as I'm not sure if I'll get a law degree from a law school right after my bachelors) TY!!
@@TheAspiringBoss I’ve been binging your law videos between lectures😭😭 I LOVE your content! You’re so real and helpful! Thank you for responding love 🥰

I’m currently a high school student who wanted to be in law school ever since I was a baby! I just wasn’t sure what kind of lawyer I wanted to be but there is a tonnnn of different lawyers it’s very tricky to choose! I’m currently in 10th grade I’ve been getting honorolls since 6th grade and continuing to do so to become a lawyer. Any tips or anything to help me kinda find my path in law?
I would do more research on types of lawyers so you can see what you might like. Then seek an internship/shadowing or even conversation with someone who practices that type of law. You are really early in the process though so don't put too much pressure on yourself to pick a path just yet. I think you're doing everything right right now by focusing on your grades.
@@TheAspiringBoss I'm an undergrad junior in Studio Art/Gallery Administration right now, I'm making a list of grad schools to apply to. Thanks for your content. I'd like to work in particular niches like cybersecurity + crisis management for national security (whether it be CIA, FBI, DHS, or the Pentagon) and/or something venture capital finance-related (startups, angel investing); I live in NYC so, I'd like to also work in Wall Street to some capacity. I am not striving towards big law or some prestigious law school to brag about. That being said, I am looking for quality education along with a great network and mentoring. Since law school isn't cheap, I'm looking for the best return on investment.
