It is really bad, ships float like they are on ice, the rudder is useless. All that is in season one is a shop, and one extra ship and a smuggler with a skill tree. You can only only do one mission for him per day. The ship level as time of writing has been raised to 14, but ships are still level 5, even the new one. Oh and the new ship is a damn support one, yep another medium ship. The same guy is in Sainte Anne as well as the other base. Yep the developers did not have the sense to change the face and voice of the smuggler in different bases and make them distinct. This is not all all you do not need to have protection against la Pestilence poison, all you have to go is get 6 or more players at high rank to take him down. You drops from him are pathetic, i mean they are bad. You get some gold, some sugar cane or stull like that and possibly on old map. People have beaten the boss within two houses of the update, it is that bad. Oh yeah there is a damn shop in at the smuggler's post. Nothing has been fixed, the constant alerts for a heist etc, the announcements cover your top left hand screen so if you are trying to do stuff like travel, mod your ship it gets in the way. The UI for changing weapons is a mess, nothing has been fixed or cleaned up. For a game that screams cooperative play, NO VOICE, NO CHAT. THEY HAVE FIXED NOTHING. No new mission of worth, its a joke. Season one has made the pre -season worst. i uninstalled the game in complete disgust, Its a complete mess, people who paid $70 for this game got scammed.
Looks nice... But is it nice enough to last 3 months? Im already bored of just farming Po8... And if nothing changes about the endgame, I dont think this is enough :(
the are two completely different games, that aren't even in the same wheelhouse to compete with each other. the only common ground they share is "Oooo Pirates" and if using a pirate theme is all it takes, then Sid Meier has a pretty big foothold in the arguments.

@@zackwallace9860 I think that’s an unfair criticism. Its has a stylized aesthetic. It’s cartoonish for a reason. You can literally fire yourself out of cannons and land on ships, it’s basically given the player the mysticism of piracy w/ a mix of “realism. ” And by realism, you have to fix your ship, you have to rely on wind and moving sails to catch it, etc.
