- Mr. Daniel Wu, a Hong Kong actor, director and producer, was born and raised in California. Upon graduation with a BA in Architecture, he began his modeling and acting career in Hong Kong in 1997. Daniel, a significant star, with over 50 movies, 40 advertising campaigns, experience with his own boy band, 'Alive', and winning the Best New Director award at the 26th Hong Kong Film Awards, has recently added voluntary and charity work to his list of accomplishments.
Embracing a positive and holistic life attitude, Wu will share with us how he transforms into multiple identities, to an artiste, an environmentalist and an entrepreneur from his origin as an architecture student.
Daniel is more than a pretty face. He is a deep thinker n he manages to get his messages across with his eloquent speech. Thks for uploading this video! I have learned so much from it...life is never smooth but u rise above it!
Daniel Wu is a great mentor to the next generation. He is very different to how he is portrayed in his films so it is good to see him and understand him as a person here. I hope he can do more to teach the new generation in HK.

Growing up in America with parents from Shanghai you get reminded you're Chinese everyday. While in HK, the Chinese identity is heavily politicized.
Daniel is very articulate and I agree with many of his view points. I can't however, understand his movie choices though? Most of the movies that he's done just contradicts to his own philosophy.

讲话的用词和思路非常有水准，即便是放在西方的标准来看。明显是受到过良好的教育，没有多余的废话和那些令人反感的插入词，比如非常annoying的'like'之类的词汇。Daniel讲话会有口音，但是听起来非常舒服，有个性。

I could pick up some accents in the audience and pretty sure most of them are from mainland China.
The accent of the host's English pronunciation also makes me so affirmative that he had been brought up in a Canatonese environment even if he didn't speak a Cantonese word. LOL

Give those 2 interviewers some slack. They're not necessarily raised in america like daniel, that's why their english isn't so great.
The left guy is not so bad in speaking English, but of course he has HK accent when speaking English. It is acceptable, as all nationalities from the world have their own accent when speaking English.
