If they promoted it better it would’ve been huge. I wish they’d bring it back they kind of left it where they could bring it back but understand if they’re wanting to move on because it did take a lot of work to make.
Kind of frustrating how Wu was usually being typecast in "villain" roles which requires little to no acting. Nice to see him in the more 'heroic" role. Where he can display more of his versatility as an actor. Especially in the more dramatic scenes in the show.

I watched the first episode of this show about 3 days ago.. Finished the last episode of season 2 today. I want more! Great story, excellent fight scenes. Marton Csokas charcater gave me chills from the moment he appeared. Dude is AWESOME in the role of Quinn. All the actors are on their A game for this one. Great series.
My favorite show ever. It was an incredible experience BUT it only lasted 3 seasons. WHY? The entire cast was awesome and Daniel should have received awards for his performance. I wish they would bring it back.
I remember Marton from Shortland Street the Hercules and Xena shows in the 90s. Always been a fan of his. Still haven't seen Aeon Flux yet but I definitely will soon. I remember Aramis as the spunky recruit in the "Ender's Game" film. He stole the show in every scene he was in.
Daniel Wu was a kung fu fighter long before Into The Badlands, right? Of all the impressive fighting, he is superior. I think he must have teached the other actors a lot of skills during the 6 weeks training camp. The fighting is the best part, but I think the show has a pretty good story too. I think season 2 was even better than 1. I felt very sad when his woman Veil died at the end. He should have made sure Quinn was really dead.
Svein Grimstad I thought the same thing. There were too many shots/angles that the viewer realized that he was not dead. I think we knew it would end this way.
Potential Spoilers, so be warned. To be fair, Quinn did survive a lot more stabs through his body than any other person aver probably has, so I don’t blame Sunny for thinking he was dead.
Right! I figured they’d end it this way, there’s always got to be some tragedy to the hero’s journey but come on man first time you stabbed him through the stomach thinking he died but he didn’t why wouldn’t you make sure he stayed dead this second time around. Would’ve been cool if they could’ve brought her back some how since Henry’s dark gift manifested so young, and even though Sunny was probably powerful enough with his gift(if it was activated) to have passed that on to him. Would’ve been interesting if Veil actually had some kind of ability as well, that contributed to Henry being truly powerful, her gift could’ve brought her back to life too.

In the lockdown 2020 I discovered Badlands on Amazon Prime Video 3 seasons. Just WOW I spent 4 days to watch all seasons. My favorite is Baron Queen - best actor, Emily Beecham as well...very hot woman and actor, Sunny amazing acting. So sad they finished on season 3.
This show is honestly amazing. The character development is incredible, the acting is pretty good all things considered, and the writing and storyline is great. Martin Csokas should play every single villain ever from now on, change my mind. Daniel Wu is great. I love every part if it.
Ive only recently discovered this series and WOW, I LOVE IT! Ive been a martial arts fan since i was a young teenager. Seen 100's of Kung Fu movies and American Martial Arts movies. The action in this series is of the Highest Quality...impressive!

I never watched it when it first came out maybe only saw parts here and there, I just recently started watching it again and I’m so disappointed that they’d canceled it there could’ve been more. I hate being left with a Cliff hanger.
I love how the characters use their gymnastics in a lot of the martial arts fight scenes. Especially the ones with Sonny and the Widow. Similar to the Bruce Lee films.
This show is a wonderful homage to all the great Hong Kong martial arts and melee combat films in general. It's awesome to see guys like Daniel Wu and Stephen Fung that are steeped in HK cinema aspects that are also well versed in Western sensibilities of film/TV storytelling craft. The best thing out of this project, is the collaboration with Alfred Gough and Miles Millar that are completely on board with writing a rich world and multi faceted characters that allows the combat to be an integral aspect of this bleak and violent dystopia.
Disappointed that this show is cancelled. I'd like to see another season where Sunny (Wu) and M.K. (Knight) make peace. They had wonderful chemistry; hopefully they will be seen together on other projects.
I'd prefer good acting + plot over great martial artists pretending to be actors, if that makes any sense, and I especially like Quinn in this series for that reason. That said, Donnie Yen is the best of both worlds for me - If you can watch the scene where he practises on the wooden dummy for his dying wife without shedding a tear, congratulations - you're ready for a job in the Trump administration. Put that scene into almost any other martial arts movie and it would be laughable - Yen makes it real, and that's the mark of a good actor.
Daniel Wu has a gold mine...producing or co-producing Badlands was the right thing to do. Some of his kiss scenes...if i were his wife no way could i see him do that...lol he's a 🔥 HOT 🔥 kisser as well making it doubly uncool as his pretend spouse. However it's acting so certainly the wife cheers him on to do his best...as long as he brings home the bacon. Great actor.

Daniel Wu was a bad guy in every movie I've seen with him in it. Kind of fresh to see him play a hero this time around.

Aeon Flux is good he use to date Eva Green when they met on the set of Kingdom of Heaven.

I fell in love with this show because my dad, he was watching the fight between Quinn and Widow and I started watching it on my own. 😂

People have no idea until they reflect on it how enjoyable the show is because of Martin’s villainy.
