Every female in pop music for the rest of eternity, owes Madonna a debt of gratitude. Some just flat out copy and pretend they are the original, others imitate and are honestly acknowledging M’s influence. Leave it to her daughter to flawlessly pay homage in a beautiful, deliberate way that is so intriguingly intricate and deliciously delicate. It helps tremendously that the music is also great. Bravo.
She is who she is, someone who doesn't need approval or making a TikTok song as the mediocre ones. She expresses her art because “Everybody is looking for something” she has total influence from her mother but why not? education and exposure to the arts without the need for exposure or approval from anyone.

This is impressive. Very much doing her own thing with a British electro and trip hop sound, taking influences from Portishead and Massive Attack in particular.
It’s great to watch Lolahol grow as an artist in as much of an organic way as possible (all things considered). I also really enjoy the music which is similar to what I used to listen to in the 90’s & she does it well. I’m glad we didn’t have to wait too long to hear this as I really enjoyed the EP & was looking forward to hearing more. Can’t wait to hear the rest. 💙

What is really great is that it's evident her mother doesn't helped her in this, it feels like authentic, raw and low cost but in a good sense I mean it's clear Lola choose not to take the nepo baby way and that worth it. 🎉❤
Despite it's feeling, how is it clear her mom isn't helping her in this? This could be precisely the look that she wanted with her mom's help -- we don't know. I don't think there's anything wrong with nepotism, particuarlly when being Madonna's kid doesn't guarantee her children's success, or what the public views as "success", in music. Mom can help, but Lola still has to do the work. Take the Jacksons, for instance: MJ guessed on 3T's music, but despite that or possibly because of it, it didn't go very far. Take Solange Knowles as another example: while Solange definitely has her own fan base and is successful singer in her own right, she is hardly on Beyonce's level of stardom. Being a celebrity's sibling or offspring only pushes you to the front of the line, but the public ultimately decides whether we want what they're offering.
It's interesting to see a major celebrity's offsprng embracing their lineage as opposed to trying to break free of it. Good job, Lourdes. You're our Madonn'as kid -- embrace the fact.
The Marley family are pretty good at embracing it, it is rare though.
@@2high83 I understand wanting to make a name for yourself, as opposed to having your success be seen as riding your parents' coattails, but if you're meant to be successful at what you do, you're going to be, and how you get there truly is irrelevant; for instance: the Jackson family -- La'Toya, Rebbie, and everyone else who isn't Janet. That's not to say success for them should be gauged by MJ and Janet's, but being a Jackson clearly only gets you through the doors, into a meeting. While Lourdes may very well ride on her mom's name, whether she makes a name for herself is dependant upon whether we allow her to do that, not the inescapable fact of being Madonna's daughter. Madonna's daughter or not, if it's crap, it just is. Also, oftentimes, a relative will be rejected by the public for being related to a superstar, so there's that, too.
Well, it's an excellent tribute to Frozen for sure. I think her mother is very proud
