the real office siren
This evokes a very specific, late 80's/early 90's dark luxury aesthetic with a modern but nostalgic sound. Like a scene from an old movie you can't recall, but somehow the essence, the mystery, stayed with you. Amazing song, amazing video.
Omg I thought the exact same thing 😂
Dark luxury aesthetic... Drakkar Noir commercial.
It reminds me of a couple of sade music videos
Great review,.I totally agree !
It’s the Blade Runner vibes
I love the late 90s early 2000s feel from this album
trip hop alchemy
Massive Attack vibes in the best way
Her and Yves Tumor are the ones keeping that vibe alive! Hope that ask pops up in future interviews
The fuck you know about the 90s kid
@@xviolaa 'Protection' vibes.
This is so perfect. She even looks like Bayonetta.
Andrew Thomas Huang always serving quality
Bayonetta x Jessica Rabbit
Had the same thought and came down to the comments to see who else thought she looks like Bayonetta
@@ahmadalshehabi1138 *Who´s Bayonetta*
@@enricovankeeken1624 A video game character. The game itself is also called Bayonetta
@@enricovankeeken1624this is bayonetta
The lyrics coincide with the video. The dice composed of chance are the pearls, the glass the first shell, the shell she created via melting sand [a powder]. The second shell is her mouth when she ingests the dice, consuming chance to make something better and that she’s in control of. She finally spits out the dice and shatters the first shell irreparably, showing her willingness to still let fate take control. But it’s a facade, she uses her voice to shatter the shell instead of the dice of chance being the controlled demolition.
Wow beautiful
While I recognize your interpretation I believe the act of ingesting the dice and then, with an unnatural force, spitting it unveils a profound resistance to the dictates of fate. It's a display of her unwillingness to be moulded by destiny. Then, the deliberate action of breaking the glass signifies her distinctiveness and establishes a commanding hierarchy, where she reigns over the fragments of the once imposing structure (the first shell). It's a mesmerizing declaration of power, a visual poetry of defiance and individuality.
“You’re the mind that staaaaaaays opennn.” Just fainted. Fucking love it.
She graduated suma cum laude from the servington university with a degree in cuntonomy and a minor in motherhood
I have never seen anyone else give visuals like eartheater… like I’m constantly floored by all the videos she gives us 🖤
Don’t forget ATH
Honestly thooo
She’s a goddess Fr
A collab would go crazy with ASAP Rocky. If she got yung kayo there’s no way she can’t do that
Bjork and Grimes tho'
Just saw her in Chicago. Incredible performer, and she broke a wineglass live on stage!
Really??????
bet it was sugar glass tho lol!
@@BasedMarysMemoirs i don't think u can break sugar glasses with your voice...
@@BasedMarysMemoirsit was a real wine glass! she asked us on her insta before the show to bring some for her
I was there too, it was iconic
this is the third time in my life I’ve been left speechless. This woman is ethereal
What were the other 2
Yess spill, she's so mesmerizing! Surprised she's not blew up
yeah what were the other 2
@jakeMeesce
Trinity & Phoenix? 😛
The continuous, leading, poetic lyricism, step, step, to the next step, oh my gosh genius.
this album is my only reason to live
Same sis
Me same
Room for another?
Guys 🥺
I hope you feel better soon. God will have a lot to answer for once we're on the other side.
Guess she’ll be my most listened to artist of the year again on spotify😩
Been mine for two years lol
Andrew Thomas Huang always slays!
Omg he's the director of this mv?
I thought you were coming for her appearance 😬
loving the final scene and her cute facial expression when she realizes she just got the glass breaking
it's probably stupid of me but i actually didn't think this could be a real thing lol
@@personnenobody it can, something about the vibrations
@@SewNome every material has a resonant frequency that if you hit the object at the right frequency it will cause the object to vibrate in a way that gets more intense with each hit of a wave. (think pushing a swing with a kid in it exactly at its highest point every time vs somewhere after they start going back down again, except each molecule is a kid on a swing.) if you sustain the frequency the molecules will start moving so fast it will disrupt the structural bonds of the object. there was a bridge that broke apart because the breeze was blowing a specific way on it one day, there’s footage of the concrete wobbling like it’s made of rubber, if you look it up it’s really interesting . Also, for some jeep wranglers you can’t drive them a specific speed for too long (i think it’s like 50 mph) or the car will rattle itself apart basically. so yeah it’s the soundwaves hitting the glass.
You're the wave crushing the shells into sand
You're the flame melting sand into glass
You're the glass holding the wine
You're the wine making me drunk
You're the drunk telling me lies
You're the lies that come to light
You're the light that I turn on
I see all of you, you see all of me
You're so sexy, you're not defensive
You're the turn on that I can't refuse
You're the fuse that dеtonates my body
You're the body that blows my mind
You'rе the mind that stays open
You're the opening of a shell
You're the shell that has a pearl
You're the pearl that's big and swollen with iridescence because you stuck around
You're a priceless kind of guy
You're a guy that eats pussy well
You're a well of reasons to keep crashing
To keep crushing on your shore
But I'm still not quite sure
I'm still not quite sure
But I'm still crushing on your shore
I'm still crushing
That's for sure
That's for sure
Uncommon and artistic lyrics.
incredible.
Absolutely gorgeous lyrics, very poetic, I love this song ❤️
😍😍😍
Such a beautiful poem😍
eartheater casually releasing aoty on a tuesday is incredibly iconic
she's an icon, she's a legend, and she is the moment
She’s none of these things. She’s nothing of the sort.
Now come on now
ESPECIALLY WITH THE LAST SCENE LORD
Im not convinced
@@supme7558good for you, want a cookie?
Eartheater is so slept on its crazy
omg this giving bayonetta if she was a bond girl in 1998. im OBSESSED.
your artistic name is genius. It can be read as earth-eater or ear-theater
It sounds like Massive Attack. Love it
This gives me Portishead meets 2023. She's found her style and perfected it, I'm so ready for this era
Playing dice in wine, the cold brutalist 90s vibes, the hopeless romantics 🤌 also LOVED seeing the process in the end ❤️❤️❤️
I would say it's more 80's
Delivering the “Moby” feeling of early 2000s with an Earthy taste, yummzy
She looks like a dangerous librarian and I love that for her
The glass breaking with her voice is awesome
hits so different when you’re actually crushinggg
can't help but wonder and try to picture who the man/person is who she's singing about in lyrics like these... who on earth is the turnon that Aphrodite incarnate cannot refuse ... she is so unreal
She’s crushing on her tension to the stars. The guy is her unavoidable fall for art: her inspiration, leading her back to creation.
@@fractalesystem3 this is a great answer
this is my introduction to eartheater and i’m so glad i clicked. can’t wait to go back and hear everything she’s done!
You have to listen to TRINITY
@@outlateat4m696 okay that’s the first on my list then
you are in for a treat
it's VERY different to this
gives me portishead, orb, massive attack etc etc vibes.. very nice
Shes cosplaying Bayonetta
I CAN"T STOP REWATCHING THIS, I JUST CAN'T, HELP ME
SAME, I CAN'T STOP BOPPING TO THIS AHHHH
Those visuals, those drums. Your voice as magical as always. You’re one of the realest artists I’ve seen in the music industry over the last few years.
I can't stop replaying this.
This is the perfect song to listen to at night while you’re driving through heavy rain
It's called Trip Hop, but done well and so right for the times.
She is always innovating, every song sounds different
This is the ultimate aesthetic. Truly.
I would literally transition if the surgeon could guarantee I would look as hot, vampy and badass as her. Perfection.
This song makes me feel like a detective on her honeymoon in a noir movie.
Eartheater is undoubtedly the best musical artist of this beguiled era we live in.
Was she seriously able to shatter a wine glass with the pitch of her voice? That would be truly incredible. Such a casual display of high sorcery haha❤
@darkhunter6362 Holy cow, that is really incredible!
Just Bayonetta enjoying a glass of wine after work.
I just got divorced, this song has accompanied me in my loss, it gives me this sexy, ruthless and elegant feeling that I need,
The video is incredible, the editing and colorimetry, It gives me that vibe of videos of super models from the 90's
this lip look is LIFE
This song and video is about to slay me to death, I can just feel it
you were absolutely right!
i cant describe the beauty her music brings to me, it feels undefinable yet simplistic, vivacious but not overtly sexualized, the music feels truly like it was crafted by an artisan
The voices ,the visuals are stunning
i come back to this mv a ludicrous amount
beach house typa vibe, it feels like im in a dreammm U FIERCEEE
literally so obsessed with this song rn
Reminds me of a 90s/early 2000s luxury infomercial in the best way possible
The footage at the end 😭😭😭 ICON
Beautiful music video and song, the whole album is so stunning and angelic...very rich sounding and elegant✨️
I can smell the essence of this. absolutely beautiful, undoubtedly one of the best MVs of this year. eartheater is a true powerhouse, unafraid of being chic, and never loses her weirdness. I love it so much.
Where is the Kali Uchis, Bonnie Banane, Sudan Archives, Eartheater collab? 💖💖💖💖💖
yk when you find a new favorite song and you play it 93 times in a row... yeah 🧡
Thanks to my best friend Gustavo for introducing me to this incredible song ❤
❤❤
Earth Eater is giving me my TripHop fix in the 2020s. She got me to step out of years of musical nostalgia trip of 90s/early00s and got me excited for new(ish) music and artists.
Song is sinking deep within me. Thank you and the whole team for bringing this special kind of fantasy to light, reverbereting in the minds of many.
And also thanks to me. Secret Dj sharing.
Holy smokes I’m here doing laundry at the laundry mat, it hasn’t stopped raining since last night and it’s 8:44 a.m. right now. My roommate is taking a big drag of concentrate and I’m dealing with a lot in my personal life but I’m glad that there’s music that can dance with the energy surrounding myself. It makes everything bearable.
Every single one of your songs and mvs keep my will to create art really alive, because everything you do IS art, very beautiful and full of meaning. SLAY
she is so underrated... i don't understand how she doesn't have more listeners!! literally the most insane talent for melody I've heard. lyricism so good too, and her voice is so uniquely beautiful 🤍🤍
Only real ones can hear her magic, there's something more substantial here, this type of intimacy which terrifies but intrigues
Mesmerizing. Everything you do is such a masterpiece.
her voice sounds like heaven, i'm addicted to this song🎉🎉
She’s a legend, your honor
Insane vibes....
Pure ART, visually, musically and beyond.
Came here after hearing this in the Mugler SS24 runway show, ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE
the late 80s/early 90s aesthetics are divine. the track is masterpiece-level.
Why am I ab to cry watching this wow so she never fails to create something so raw and beautiful
This show’s me how there’s still so much left to explore and experiment in our music videos while still suiting our music perfectly
So soothing it keeps me going.
Such a divine feminine, a true artist in every aspect. Her creative mind is almost in comprehendible for some
Incrível as sensações que essa música trás 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷❤️❤️❤️
if there's ever a bayonetta movie, i'd love to see her consider it T-T
i need this song inside of me….. in my soul…. my whole being…
She really can go from psych folk to trap to avant folk to trip hop like it's nothing woah
The cvnty Matrix 90's Double Agent Teacher By Day that wins the chest tournament with ease just to grab the attention of the next high profil target on her hit list. This is stunning.
this song is so strange but in a good way. evocative emotions i.e. faux romance, eerie nostalgia, false memories etc; all bizarre but beautiful
From mugler with love❤
i need this music video injected into my veins
I am so so so in love with this video
I love how the molten glass is juxtaposed with the scene. The making of glass vessels is pure beauty!
directed by andrew?? she actually broke the glass?? the song and video were amazing????? like 💖💖💖💖
omggg that ending
Eartheater is constantly blowing my mind, I feel so blessed to be a fan
This is an incredibly charming track, I will definitely take it as an accent in my life.
probably one of the best albums of this year, if not the best
THE PONYTAIL COMING OFFFFFFF
this visual is absolutely incredible, it adds so much depth to the music
anyone else think that piano at the end is reminiscent of That One Moby song 😭
🎶я просто в тебя втюрилась,
втрескалась, вкрашилась🎶
its like I want to live in this video forever
This song is like a dream for me.
Same me. Dj. Sharing.
her voice fits … everything
Omg “Powder” It makes so much sense that it's called that way, I don't want to wait for the concert in Los Angeles anymore. Thanks a lot for sprinkle 💦🧚♀️🎏your spirituality and magical world with us @eartheater
When that piano comes in. Omg
This song and the visuals are something i didnt expect out of eartheater but i live
Eartheater had been orbiting my Spotify recommended for years but this album finally sold me on her. Speechless
i’ve been rewatching this masterpiece for like 11th time and glass jars near me just fell on the floor, so that’s that
