Ive been watching a ton of v rising vids for the release on console release and this vid is so informative and concise, even just seeing the decriptions of the spells is super helpful. Thank u man
Honestly wish they add a slot for counters like they do veil. Its super lame when people run 2 counters and takes away the fun from having offensive spells.
the biggest diff between new and experienced player spell choices is that right now counters are OP in terms of the damage they do (they do too much damage)
Love this series, I am struggling so much against those movespeed builds in open world. In Mortium I stand no chance vs someone zooming in on me, how would you counter that?
Move speed is incredibly powerful for that reason at the moment. Discharge is very strong for this particular situation, and having your own movement speed ability/armor is equally helpful. Things like Warrior blood/dread plate have fallen behind due to the overwhelming nature of movement speed builds. Depending on what weapon they're rushing you down with, Phantom Aegis or Mist Trance with Fear jewels can also help keep distance and punish them for getting too close. Something else to consider is what weapons you're using. If people are rushing you down, then weapons with tools to keep people away are very helpful. Longbow Q, Reaper Q, Mace E, Whip Q all come to mind.
Terribletimmy, will you be remaking this video now that the new balancing patch dropped? I'm really interested in hearing your opinion on it and what remains viable.
For sure. Double defense is extremely powerful, and used well makes you VERY hard to deal with. I kind of categorize steroid spells into the defense side somewhat as well, but really they're just incredibly flexible. I think while learning, a combination of the 2 is just right to figure out how to both engage and disengage, without needing to commit too much brainpower to exactly which defensive spell to use in the exact right moment. In general, using rage/surge off CD is pretty much always going to be good.
@@terribletimmy2 yeah the amount of possible combinations with 1.0 is crazy especially with new lvl 4 gems. Im a cold snap/discharge into spear q abuser, its just way too good vs agressive players 😆
do i need to join that arena server to get better or can i just practice on the server im in because i know myself if i join that arena server i will be on that more than the server im in
Chaos barrier+void is a very good OW combo for both PvE and PvP. Not sure if you mean Blood dash or scholar blood in this case, but scholar works fine, especially in incursions for fast clears. Blood dash is decent, but for me it's moreso better with stuff that enables it, like Bloodrage/bloodrite, and the right jewels on it. If you aren't running that setup, I would go Veil of Chaos/Frost/Storm (in that order). Chaos for more dashes (meaning more drac set procs), frost for huge shields/sustain (which imo works better than blood), and storm for static/atk speed.
i never played pvp and dont see me playing it in the near future but do even my necromancy builds be good enough to hold my own in pvp? i know a player will not agro the undeads like a npc would to give me space but could that also be their downfall if i overwhelm them with undeads? cuz im constantly summoning them all the time and with soulburn i can keep healing them and resetting their timers and if i get low a can always consume my own minions with my reaper to heal in a pinch...the thing is would that be enough to survive in a pvp world xd
Honestly, probably not. The issue is with the amount of movement speed, you can kind of just outrun the skeletons etc. you can however build with condemn in mind. Things like corpse explosion for example can be combo'd with stuff like cold snap into spear Q. You can also use Merc charge + artifact reaper E+ spear Q to apply condemn with the E and nuke with static damage. The damage is honestly ridiculous with that combo. Essentially, you can use spells that allow you to summon skeletons in PvE, but still work in PvP
@@terribletimmy2 thx for the ideas and about the be able to outrun the minions i build with jewels that have chance to summon the mage ones and theres no need to outrun those since they are ranged...but anyway still have a long way until i think about joining a pvp server, i just finished my solo run now might try the brutal run and then perhaps i try pvp to be annihilated xd
@@rubensantos3489 yeah no rush! I will say the initial PvP apprehension is totally normal, and as you play more, that apprehension dies down and you'll be much more composed!
movsepeed meta will likely be nerfed, it adds up too much it should only consider highest source of temporary buffs, instead of stacking them it might be touched in the future
Weaker than it was but still usable for sure. Finding ways to use it when someone's rushing you down can cause people to overextend and get punished massively for it. Issue is whip and move speed is so prevalent, and the increased cast speed makes it nowhere near as guaranteed as it once was.
I really need to improve on PVP. But on my official Duo server. There's 8-10 Russians "shard holders" teaming. So there's never a clean 1v1 and if you win that one. You will soon be camped by 4 others for an hour. Guess I have to only play pvp on the arena servers.
Why is V Rising like this. Seen it so many times on multiple servers. They always take all the frozen mountains zones so you can siege one without them all joining in
@terribletimmy2 tis a shame but I'm having a blast on a custom duos pvp no raid server. Even as a solo it's got a great community nobody camps bosses and haven't been stomped by a far higher level. Proud of myself too first time getting to high level without calling help on the server. On with Henry currently feeling confident after dropping Cyril solo on first try
Thanks for the shoutout! This was a great video.
Thanks man! Legend!
Terribletimmy is a great addition to the v rising community
100%
The best addition tbh
That comparison to League really sums up V Rising, which is sort of fitting as Stunlock Studios previous game was a MOBA

No problem! PS5 hype!
Keep making them, my friend! Thanks a LOT!
HUGE video drop. Dude, keep up this content. No one is doing it this well on youtube yet
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Your videos keep being a treat to watch.
Glad you like them!
Can't wait for the weapon video and to learn all the nice mechanics and combos involved!

Awesome video, super helpful, keep it coming!
Can't wait until the weapons video 😍
thank you sir I needed this!!!
No problem!!
Fantastic

Moo.
Timmy's spoiling us! 2 vids in one day!
the biggest diff between new and experienced player spell choices is that right now counters are OP in terms of the damage they do (they do too much damage)
They are extremely good. Even with lower damage, they'd still be meta.
@@terribletimmy2 yes
If I were to only use up to 3 weapons (to start out with in pvp) which ones would you recommend? Which combination?
Next video will talk about this. Coming soon
Two handed, dual blades, gun

I'll make a video about the patch. Going to be honest, it doesn't really change much, of anything.
i feel like 2 defensive spells are just goated, even for pve. I only use offensive spells on some bosses and movement builds

Don't blame you at all. It's an extremely good combo.
I prefer backing support in clan vs clan

It's not required by any means, but it will massively speed up the rate at which you develop mechanics.
is void+chaos shielt+blood T a good combo?

From what I'm seeing most spells are not good, everyone runs 2 defensive spells. Seldom do I see them use other spells like void or offensive magic
In v arena yeah. You'll see more of a variety in open world though

Yeah it's pretty insane. It negates so much, and allows you to strafe dodge the majority of attacks. Projectiles are insanely hard to land

cast time was nerfed
It will stunt your growth but is still strong, just requires some thinking.
Try to get as much auto attack as you can! Don’t just spam abilities
Hey I was wondering if holy water is in this?
No but there is holy radiation damage zones. And I guess technically Simon Belmont throws holy water at you
