    This stuff is the bomb! I've used it about 2 years ago to stop a coolant leak. Just noticed it's starting to leak again. Just purchased another bottle. Heck, got me 2 years so far. If I get another 2 years, awesome!

      Do I make sure my radiator is empty before using k seal. Plus how long do I wait before adding coolant after using k seal

      @@positivity374. No, put it in your radiator. If your radiator doesn't have a cap, put it in the overflow tank. Drive the vehicle for about 20 minutes. That's all there is to it. Never seen stuff work like this! I have a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire with over 200,00 miles. Sealed up my leak in one 20 minute drive!

    I had a serious coolant leak for a while and i went to a garage yesterday, they told me it would be an expensive fix and i'd be better off getting another car. I saw this stuff in a local shop today and tried it. WOW fixed it in literally minutes and not a drop of leakage. This stuff is AMAZING!!!!

    But does it gum up hoses and heater cores on car?

    • @MountainManMo
      @MountainManMo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It is only meant for small holes. I believe that it is made to not clog up hoses and heater cores, but I would only use this on an older vehicle that is near the end of its life and a repair is more than the replacement cost of the car (5 years) I would replace whatever part is leaking. As vehicles get older there will be rust and other build up in the heater core and if there is a restriction from the build up this could potentially make the build up / clog worse.

    Can it work if it's leaking from the hose?

    • @MountainManMo
      @MountainManMo  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it would work best on rigid sections. I think that if it is just a hose it would be better to replace the hose. It may work for some time, but anything flexible if moved could open up the crack as it is heated, cooled, heated, ... through multiple cycles.

    So I used it and it stopped the leak but now my coolant hose is clogged

    • @MountainManMo
      @MountainManMo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry to hear that. Products with solids like these are good temporary fixes for small leaks, but can cause restrictions such as heater cores and other narrow sections to become clogged if they are already fouling. I had an old ford ranger that had direct flow through a heater core that became clogged just from rust and it would not provide heat inside the car. I removed the hoses and back flushed the heater core to remove the clog and was able to avoid replacing the heater core.
      The other question to ask is why was there a leak to begin with, could there have been overheating and over pressurization caused by a stuck thermostat or a bad water pump? Thermostats can also make it seem like a hose is clogged and are easy / inexpensive to replace (2 bolts, gasket, hose clamp to replace). Also, if there is no flow the water pump could be the cause.
      If there are any issues with the product I would also suggest contacting K-seal.

      some of the solids may not come out of the bottle so just rinse the bottle out to get the rest out if needed.

    I used k seal for blown head gasket on hyundai i40 it didn't solve the problem.
    It's in the system a few hours is it possible for it to work over the next few days or is it the case that if it doesn't work straight away than it won't work at all
