@@gwagabogoI never would have ever put Drakengard and Ace Combat in the same sentence. Interesting. Electrosphere is actually the only one I've ever played so I'll revisit that soundtrack
The violins that play in the beginning are sampled from Firebird - Infernal Dance of King Kashchei. Thought I’d throw that out there if anyone was curious.
Thank you! I was already aware that this OST sampled heavily from classical music, but I have very little knowledge of it as a genre. I’ll go have a listen now, thanks to you!
Makes sense: Considering this was essentially a kingdoms desperate struggle against a merciless empire that seeks complete destruction. Neither man, woman, nor child would be spared from a grizzly demise at their hands. And caim was more or less fighting a losing battle since he was gravely injured.
This track haunts me because it kept reminding to kill those hundreds of soldiers only to get better weapon levels to the point it angered me. Definitely working as intended. Don't want to listen to it again, yet here I am/10
Why not ? It's great soundtrack ! Besides, they're enemies of the world. Sure, they're brainwashed, but not even one tries to fight it, and you can't spare all of them. So a couple people go ahead early to the Afterlife... The only people I don't like doing it are the children, and that's it.
@@BlackPlatinum not arguing that at all. The fact that Caim went on to kill hundreds of fully armored men while dealing with a fatal back slash that would leave most people unable to stand, let alone fight, is just one reason among many why I freaking love Caim.
@@lolrus5555 oh I wasn't arguing with you homie. Yeah caim was badass man even went mute to fight the enemy. I'm more surprised how common pacts are given that his sister or friend wasn't surprised by his newfound strength

I imagine some fucked up medieval ntr shit where male finds his previous lover getting married to another man and then the male becomes more bloodthirsty LIKE CAIM KYAHAHAHA!!!!
When the execs want you to make a mousou style game to cash in on the market but you decide to make a commentary of the ridiculous nature of murdering thousands of people instead.
I actually searched up this song because I was unsure if it was supposed to be like that or my emulator was just having a bad day. It has some weird cuts and repeats way to much
One could make the argument that it's to get the player into the mindset of Caim. Over and over, he kills not just because he wants to, but because he *must* and the repetitive action of mowing down imperial soldiers over and over again. It gets repetitive. It plays out the same way over and over again. Repeating and repeating and repeating. To properly get into his mindset, you must enter an almost meditative state, something that requires repeating and repeating, death repeating, and the music does a fantastic job of providing you Repeating Fodder. The actual answer is that the developer Cavia was pretty small and didn't have much of a budget.
@@CheezVT yea I can hear that they tried to make some changes to make the loop less tedious, but the fix for me was turning down the music volume a bit. And also the going insane because of the music is a "feature" is kinda a wacky argument lol

This OST is really good at making you feel like you're going fucking insane.
Many of the same creative leads as AC3: Electrosphere, you can tell by the track Morceaux in AC3.

There is no more fitting a track to go along with your initial moments after being thrown into this insane world, I love it.
I like to think the music reflects on how Caim's mental state is.
Like this track is pure anger desperation for example.

I prefer that to the unbalanced exp. in 2.
"I shall... NOT DIE!"
I always loved how you can clearly hear Caim's mounting exhaustion as he says that.

that videos blessed me with knowledge of this beautiful soundtrack
Empire rats! you shall feed the ravens
The trance like state of battle. Caim knew this feeling well.
This music really tells you how much this fight was going to hell before Caim's pact with The Dragon.
It's weird seeing people say that this is just random noise. I think it's got a clear pattern and beat to it. I like 1:21,
Definitely has a rhythm like the percussion and the whirling of the strings.. and the pattern of the horns and woodwinds..
Tbh I can hear it at 0:49
